Contrasting PA Reactions To Latest Terror Wave – Abbas: Children Take Up Knives Of Their Own Volition To Carry Out Stabbings; PA Foreign Ministry: Israel Executing Palestinians Without Cause, MEMRI, September 22, 2016

The past week has seen a sharp increase in armed Palestinian attacks on Israelis that included stabbings, vehicular attacks and stone throwing. Among the incidents were the stabbing on September 19, 2016 of two police officers near Herod’s Gate outside Jerusalem’s Old City, in which a policewoman was severely wounded, and an attempted stabbing carried out on September 16 by a Jordanian national near Damascus Gate outside the Old City.

A review of the responses to these events by Fatah and PA officials and institutions reveals a stark contrast between the reaction of Palestinian President and Fatah Chairman Mahmoud ‘Abbas, who acknowledged that Palestinians were carrying out stabbings against Israelis, and the reactions of other PA and Fatah institutions and officials, who categorically denied that violent attacks were taking place, and consistently described the incidents as executions of Palestinians by the Israeli armed forces.

Fatah’s official Facebook page, like ‘Abbas, did not deny that attacks were taking place. It  posted an obituary for one of the attackers that called him a “martyred hero” and praised his “bold vehicular operation.”

The following are excerpts from the statements by ‘Abbas, from the obituary on Fatah’s official Facebook page,   and from responses by other Palestinian officials and bodies.

‘Abbas: Children Are Taking Up Knives To Carry Out Stabbings

In a September 17, 2016 meeting in Venezuela with representatives of the Palestinian community there, ‘Abbas stated that Palestinian children were carrying out stabbings out of despair: “Children are carrying knives of their own volition. Do not believe those who say that certain elements are pushing and inciting them. These are children who have lost hope and are taking up knives to carry out stabbing attacks.”[1]

Official Fatah Facebook Page Mourns “Heroic” Perpetrator Of “Bold Vehicular Operation”

Fatah’s official Facebook page featured an obituary for Firas Al-Khadour, killed on September 16 while trying to run down a group of Israelis in Kiryat Arba. The obituary,  released on September 18 by Fatah’s north Hebron branch, described the attacker as a “martyred hero” and the attack as a “heroic vehicular operation.” It stated: “The Palestinian national liberation movement Fatah, north Hebron-Bani Na’im branch, announces [the nuptials of] its martyred hero Firas Moussa Al-Birawi Al-Khadour (Al-Manasra) [to the 72 virgins of Paradise].[2] He was martyred while carrying out a heroic vehicular operation in the settlement of Kiryat Arba… Fatah: action, revolution and revenge.”[3]

PA, Fatah Officials, Institutions: Israel Executing Palestinians In Cold Blood, Although They Pose No Threat

Unlike ‘Abbas, who acknowledged that Palestinian were carrying out attacks against Israelis, and unlike the Fatah obituary that glorified the vehicular attack carried out by Firas Al-Khadour, other PA institutions and  officials denied that such attacks were taking place, describing the events as “Israeli terror” and accusing Israel of “executing unarmed Palestinian civilians.”

A September 20, 2016 announcement by the PA Foreign Ministry read: “In recent days, the Israeli government headed by Binyamin Netanyahu escalated its field executions of unarmed Palestinians, especially in the districts of Jerusalem and Hebron, although [these Palestinians] did not pose any threat to the soldiers of the occupation or its settlers.”[4]

One day earlier, PA Justice Minister ‘Ali Abu Diak addressed an attempted stabbing by Muhannad Al-Rajabi (21) and Amir Al-Rajabi (17) in the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron, in the course of which they were shot and killed. He said:  “The crime of executing the boy Amir Jamal Al-Rajabi and the martyr Muhannad Jamal Al-Rajabi near Al-Haram Al-Ibrahimi [the  Cave of the Patriarchs] in Hebron today… is a [an act of] state terrorism and further proof that Israel continues to perpetrate war crimes and to violate international and humanitarian law. The world must hold Israel to account and prosecute it for its hideous crimes against our people… Israel is waging a one-sided war against our people and escalating its crimes of killing and aggression…”[5]

Similar statements were made by official Fatah institutions and officials. In a communique it issued, Fatah’s Recruitment and Organization Commission spoke of “Israeli terrorism,” saying: “The level of fascism and terror that Israel has reached indicates that it does nothing competently except execute Palestinians in cold blood – at checkpoints, on the roads, and at the gates of the blessed Al-Aqsa mosque. We face a wave of Israeli terror that is developing into another [campaign of] daily killing operations that devour [our] children even more than [our] adults, under the sponsorship and according to the instructions of the corrupt Netanyahu government [whose policy] is based on killing Palestinians everywhere, regardless of their age.”[6]

Fatah spokesman Osama Al-Qawasmeh likewise referred to the violent events as “Israel’s execution of Palestinians at the checkpoints,” and claimed that “this is nothing but the faithful implementation of orders emanating from the politicians and rulers in Tel Aviv.”[7] In a communique issued by Fatah’s Jerusalem branch, the branch’s secretary-general, ‘Adnan Gheith, said that “the occupation forces are targeting Palestinians and permitting their blood directly and deliberately, which will lead to catastrophic consequences… Our Palestinian people has become a direct target of field executions and cold blooded murder by the occupation forces, who commit their crimes in front of the whole world, yet nobody acts to put a stop to these racist crimes.”[8]

Obama’s Parting Shot at Israel

Obama’s Parting Shot at Israel, Front Page MagazineAri Lieberman, September 22, 2016

unobama

Obama’s last address before the UN General Assembly was typically and predictably condescending, hypocritical, disingenuous and vainglorious. He used the opportunity to perform some electioneering and take a swipe at Donald Trump. “Today, a nation ringed by walls would only imprison itself,” he said in a not too subtle reference to Trump’s promised plans to secure the southern border with the construction of a wall and restrict immigration from high-risk countries.

France, a NATO ally that has partnered with the U.S. to combat the Taliban in Afghanistan and Islamic extremism in Mali, was also derided. Though he did not mention France by name, he criticized “liberal societies” for their “opposition to women who choose to cover themselves.” This of course was a veiled reference French laws banning Burkas and Burkinis, items of Islamic clothing that are oppressive to and denigrate women.

Of course, Obama made no mention of the Paris and Nice massacres. Nor did he note that as a result of Muslim violence, 70 percent of Europe’s Jews won’t be attending synagogue during the Jewish High-Holy Days. Obama did of course heap praise on Indonesia, a Muslim nation that discriminates against minorities and the LGBT community, still maintains so-called “blasphemy” laws, and imposes draconian Sharia law in some districts. This year, a 60-year old Christian-Indonesian woman was given 28 lashes for selling alcohol. This is the model nation that the president touts before the world community.

The vainglorious president also took the opportunity to tout his disastrous Iran deal, noting that the United States “resolved the Iranian nuclear issue through diplomacy.” Obama, however, failed to note that he inked the worst deal in U.S. diplomatic history and likely the worst deal since the 1938 Munich Accord. He also omitted the fact that the infusion of $150 billion into Iran’s anemic economy will enable the mullahs to continue to sow misery throughout the region.

Of course, no Obama speech would be complete without the perfunctory assault on Israel. What better place to attack the Jewish state than before a body that is today’s greatest purveyor of anti-Semitism, where anti-Israel invective flows like water and where the Jewish state is incessantly vilified?

Recognizing of course that referring to Jews as “apes and pigs” is a national Palestinian pastime, Obama reminded the Palestinians to play nicely before directing his invective against Israel.

“Surely, Israelis and Palestinians will be better off if Palestinians reject incitement and recognize the legitimacy of Israel, but Israel recognizes that it cannot permanently occupy and settle Palestinian land,” he said.

There are two egregious problems with Obama’s statement. First, it is insufficient for the Palestinian Authority to merely “recognize the legitimacy of Israel.”

Israel has made clear that the PA must recognize Israel as a Jewish state. The PA has rejected this demand outright because they envision a future Palestinian state, exclusively for Palestinians, in Judea/Samaria and an entity that calls itself “Israel” composed of Jews as well as Palestinian Muslims, thereby negating the Jewish character of the state.

That represents the crux of the problem. Palestinian Muslims will never recognize the indigenousness of Jews in their ancestral land. Any peace agreement without such recognition is inherently flawed and sets the stage for more bloody conflict. In terms of strategy, there is absolutely no difference between the PA and Hamas. Both aspire to the ultimate goal of establishing a Muslim Arab state from the River to the Sea. The only difference is tactics. The PA has adopted a more practical and deceitful approach toward achieving their ultimate objective (though every once in a while they slip and reveal their true colors) while Hamas is frighteningly and brutishly honest.

The second problem is that Judea and Samaria is neither “occupied” nor is it “Palestinian land.” It is a territory that is the subject of a bonafide dispute between two parties with competing claims.

From a legal perspective, Israel’s claim has more merit. In 1947, the UN General Assembly voted to partition Israel/Palestine into separate Jewish and Arab states. General Assembly resolutions have no binding legal authority. The Jews accepted partition, but the Arabs rejected it. Had they accepted it, the matter would have been settled and an agreement would have validated the GA resolution and made it legally binding under international law.

During the War of 1948 that followed, Jordan seized Judea and Samaria as well as the eastern portion of Jerusalem and annexed these territories. Only Pakistan fully recognized Jordan’s illegal annexation, while England’s recognition was limited to Judea and Samaria. The territory was occupied by Jordan for 19 years and during those 19 years, Jewish institutions were reduced to rubble while Jewish headstones in the Mount of Olives cemetery were used to build latrines for the Jordanian army.

In June 1967, Jordan’s monarch, fed on a steady diet of fantasy-like falsehoods of Israel’s impending demise, attacked Israel with Hawker Hunter jets and artillery. Israel responded to the provocation and liberated Jerusalem as well as Judea and Samaria in a matter of days.

The UN considers war and conquests therefrom to be illegal, but Article 52 of the UN Charter provides an exception to the illegality of war in cases involving self-defense. The Six-Day War was as clear as they come in terms of self-defense. Israel acquired these lands through defensive conquest. Never in the history of mankind has a nation been compelled to return territories — acquired in the course of a defensive war — to an aggressor entity.

Following the war and after many months of haggling, the UN Security Council, which has the power to establish international law, passed Resolution 242. The resolution called upon Israel to withdraw from “territories occupied in the recent conflict.” Notably, the word “all” was deliberately omitted thus giving implicit recognition to Israeli territorial conquests. One can reasonably argue that Israel has fully complied with Resolution 242 by virtue of its withdrawal from the Sinai Peninsula, Gaza, some 40 percent of Judea and Samaria and Quneitra on the Golan Heights, and that no further territorial withdrawals are required.

I would be remiss if I didn’t note that two Jewish commonwealths existed on territories now claimed as “occupied” hundreds of years before Mohammedan colonizers set foot on the land. It would be more precise to refer to the territories as “re-occupied,” in deference to the indigenous inhabitants of the land.

Obama likely knows all this but couldn’t resist taking a parting shot at Israel. That he would choose to do it in a forum that is infamous for its anti-Semitic vitriol speaks volumes of the man.

DHS admits: No strategic plan for $10 million counter-terrorism program

September 22, 2016

DHS admits: No strategic plan for $10 million counter-terrorism program, Washington ExaminerMariana Barillas, September 22, 2016

(This has been the Countering Violent Extremism “strategic plan” until now:

It seems unlikely that any significant changes will be made while Obama remains in office.–DM)

The head of the Department of Homeland Security’s program to counter violent extremism admitted Thursday that the year-old initiative is not yet being guided by a completed strategic plan.

George Selim, director of the Office of Community Partnerships at DHS, was repeatedly asked by members of the House Homeland Security Thursday why he could not provide a document outlining the organization’s $10 million plans for countering the spread of terrorism.

“Why? Because I am testifying before this committee,” said Selim, who repeatedly refused to provide a date for when would present the strategy.

“Don’t be facetious, brother. Either the plan exists or it doesn’t,” said Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., in response. “I understand inside the beltway talk. So let’s just make it plain and simple: when can we get the plan?”

Selim finally admitted the plan is not finished, stating that a finalized version is “nearly ready.”

He added that he didn’t want to give the impression that the organization is without any strategy after being up and running for a year, and stressed that he takes the use of taxpayer dollars seriously.

Congress appropriated $10 million in funding to the Countering Violent Extremism initiative, which can issue grants to nonprofit organizations working in local communities to prevent radicalization.

But when asked by Rep. Barry Loudermilk R-Ga., to provide evidence that the program was not a “black hole” for taxpayers, Selim could only answer that he has seen positive changes “anecodally” and could not provide any metrics for success.

“I can’t sit hear before you today and definitively say that person was going to commit an act of terrorism with a pressure cooker bomb, but we’re developing that prevention framework in a range of cities across the country,” said Selim.

When asked whether DHS could prove that the money is not being sent to terrorist or terrorist-affiliated groups, Selim said there is no blacklist of non-governmental organizations prohibited from applying for federal funding in the government. He did not say whether their current vetting process has ever mistakenly funded groups that jeopardize national security when questioned, but argued there is always room for improvement when a program is in its infancy.

“There is not in the federal government, there is not a list of NGOs that are prohibited from applying for a grant from the federal government,” said Selim before deferring to the expertise of law enforcement and the intelligence community in tracking perpetrators of violence.

Iran uses medieval torture techniques on their prisoners

Iran uses medieval torture techniques on their prisoners, Iran Focus, September 22, 2016

torture-700

London, 22 Sep – It is no secret that Iran uses medieval torture techniques on their prisoners but a recent report by a Baluch prisoner has detailed the horrific practices used on him.

Ajab Gol Nour Zehi, who is imprisoned in Iranshahr Prison in Sistan & Baluchistan province, wrote: “They ruthlessly subjected me to beating with cables on the head and face and back such that after nearly one and half years the signs of the flogging with cables can be seen on my body.”

They would hang him, beat him and stab him.

The stab wounds were inflicted on the soles of his feet to make walking near impossible, on the left side of the abdomen and near the bladder to cause damage to his internal organs.

Their beatings fractured the tibia bones in his legs and created a hole so large that a finger could be placed inside.

He wrote: “One of the tortures they used was to staple my ears. They stapled my both ears which caused bleeding from both ears and blood would run down my shoulders towards my chest. I could not do anything except moaning and screaming.”

They even attempted to force a murder confession out of him.

When that didn’t work, they stripped him naked and began mocking him.

He wrote: “They burned sensitive parts of my body in 21 areas with lighters such that a lot of pus still comes out of the wounds.”

He lost consciousness during the torture sessions but they revived him in order to torture him more.

When he still did not confess to crimes that he hadn’t committed, he was transferred to the intelligence office in Zahedan where the torture began again.

He wrote: “They would hang me every day under the scorching sun from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and these tortures continued for one week.”
He named some of his torturers:

He named some of his torturers:

• Pasdar (Revolutionary Guard)
• Akbari, head of the intelligence office in Iranshahr
• Basiji (member of mobilization force)
• Omid Siah Khani
• Basiji Kalak

He called for international human rights organisations to hold a trial into human rights in Iran and asked for a meeting with the United Nations Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in Iran to discuss his treatment within the Iranian prison system.

DHS admits refugee fraud ‘easy to commit’

The President’s decision to increase overall refugee resettlement- and specifically that of Syrian refugees-ignores warnings from his own national security officials that Syrians cannot be adequately vetted to ensure terrorists are not admitted. Revelations about fraud, security gaps, and lack of oversight have demonstrated that the program is creating national security risks,” Reps. Jason Chaffetz and Bob Goodlatte said in a letter to Homeland Security on Thursday.

***************************

Refugee fraud is “easy to commit” and much tougher to detect, Homeland Security officials acknowledged in an internal memo made public by members of Congress Thursday that challenges the department’s own assurances as it seeks to increase the number of refugees from dangerous countries.

The U.S. has relaxed requirements for refugees to prove they are who they say they are, and at times may rely solely on testimony. That makes it easier for bogus applicants to conspire to get approved, according to the department memo, which was obtained by the House Judiciary and Oversight committees.

“Refugee fraud is easy to commit, yet not easy to investigate,” the undated memo says.

The memo said there are clear instances where “bad actors … have exploited this program,” gaining a foothold in the U.S. through bogus refugee claims.

The revelation comes just a week after the administration said it was boosting the number of refugees it wants to accept next year to 110,000, up from 85,000 this year. Officials also said they’ll take more Syrians than the 12,000 they’ve accepted so far this year — and they are on pace to resettle as many as 30,000 in 2017.

The President’s decision to increase overall refugee resettlement-and specifically that of Syrian refugees-ignores warnings from his own national security officials that Syrians cannot be adequately vetted to ensure terrorists are not admitted. Revelations about fraud, security gaps, and lack of oversight have demonstrated that the program is creating national security risks,” Reps. Jason Chaffetz and Bob Goodlatte said in a letter to Homeland Security on Thursday.

“I have never seen this document before,” ICE Director Sarah Saldana said when shown the document by Mr. Chaffetz at a hearing Thursday.

Why FBI Suspects Keep Attacking Americans

Why FBI Suspects Keep Attacking Americans, Front Page MagazineMatthew Vadum, September 21, 2016

asd

The FBI has indeed been handcuffed in terrorist investigations by President Obama whose administration has worked with terrorist front groups like the Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). The law enforcement agency has also become increasingly politicized in the Obama era.

************************************

Why does the Obama administration keep failing to thwart Muslim terrorist attacks in the U.S. after receiving apparently good intelligence warning of those attacks?

It turns out that Americans keep turning in budding Muslim terrorists to the Obama administration and the administration keeps on doing nothing. For example, the alleged mastermind of the weekend pressure-cooker bombing in New York City was turned in by his own father but the Federal Bureau of Investigation failed to do much of anything about him.

These intelligence failures have become a recurrent theme in the Obama era, with deadly results. Excluding the events of the last few days, there have been 89 Muslim terrorist plots and attacks in the United States since Sept. 11, 2001 and 25 of those have taken place since the beginning of 2015, according to David Inserra of the Heritage Foundation.

Counterterrorism expert Sebastian Gorka, vice president at the Institute of World Politics, blamed political correctness for the FBI’s inability to do something about Rahami before he acted.

“There are certain sensitivities,” Gorka said on the “O’Reilly Factor” last night.

“A certain political matrix is being forced upon our operators and investigators,” he said. Usually this kind of political pressure originates not from the FBI, but from the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice, he said.

The FBI is also hindered by inadequate human resources, Gorka said. There are reportedly 900 active terrorist investigations in all 50 states and the bureau can only do so much, he said.

The FBI has indeed been handcuffed in terrorist investigations by President Obama whose administration has worked with terrorist front groups like the Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). The law enforcement agency has also become increasingly politicized in the Obama era.

The pressure-cooker terrorist was apprehended after he injured a score of New Yorkers on the weekend but not through brilliant police work. He was caught during a shootout with cops.

Ahmad Khan Rahami, a.k.a. Ahmad Rahimi, was charged yesterday with use of weapons of mass destruction and bombing a place of public use. Rahami was born in Afghanistan but became a U.S. citizen.

Prosecutors say Rahami planted a pipe bomb and triggering cellphone Saturday morning in Seaside Park, N.J., before a scheduled U.S. Marine Corps charity run. Later that day he placed a pressure cooker bomb in the Chelsea neighborhood in Manhattan that the complaint states caused injuries and “multiple-million dollars of property damage across a 650-foot crime scene.” Twenty-nine people were wounded. He was previously charged with multiple counts of attempted murder of police officers and other offenses arising from a gun battle when he was captured Monday.

Police also discovered and safely detonated a pipe bomb at a train station in Elizabeth, N.J. Although it is unclear if Rahami is connected to that bomb, his family did sue the city of Elizabeth in 2011 claiming harassment and religious discrimination related to their family restaurant, First American Fried Chicken.

Rahami came to the attention of the FBI two years ago when his father suspected his son was involved in terrorism. Mohammad Rahami told reporters he contacted federal authorities after Ahmad stabbed Nasser, another one of his sons, and attacked another family member, which led to a criminal investigation.

The FBI apparently performed a superficial examination of the case at the time.

“In August 2014, the F.B.I. initiated an assessment of Ahmad Rahami based upon comments made by his father after a domestic dispute that were subsequently reported to authority,” the agency said in a press release. “The F.B.I. conducted internal database reviews, interagency checks, and multiple interviews, none of which revealed ties to terrorism.”

It would seem the fact that Rahami made a three-month trip to Quetta, Pakistan, in 2011, and visited Quetta again during an 11-month trip beginning in 2013, were ignored by the FBI. Quetta is a Taliban stronghold and a hotbed of Salafi jihadism.

About two miles from the Chelsea attack, President Obama gave a speech at the United Nations in which he said the U.S. should take more immigrants like Rahami and implicitly attacked GOP candidate Donald Trump. Obama blamed America for the world’s problems as he jabbed at Trump’s promise to secure the border, crack down on illegal aliens, and change our asylum policies.

“The world is too small for us to simply be able to build a wall,” Obama said. “We have to open our hearts and do more to help refugees who are desperate for a home,” he said. He added, “today a nation ringed by walls would only imprison itself.”

Obama also suggested that Americans and Europeans are racist for not wanting to be swamped by outsiders from hostile cultures. “And in Europe and the United States, you see people wrestle with concerns about immigration and changing demographics, and suggesting that somehow people who look different are corrupting the character of our countries,” he said.

Meanwhile, Rahami isn’t the first Islamic terrorist law enforcement agencies have failed to do anything about after receiving tips.

Omar Mir Siddique Mateen, who in June killed 49 innocent victims at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla., was reported to the FBI in 2014. The massacre has been called the worst mass shooting in American history and the worst domestic terrorist attack since 9/11. Mateen, shot dead by police during the episode, had been under FBI investigation.

Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack after it took place. Mateen himself “claimed allegiance to the Islamic State and praised the Boston Marathon bombers,” before being killed by police on the scene, the New York Times reported at the time.

In December 2015, President Obama ignored FBI-procured evidence that the terrorist attack in San Bernardino, Calif., was an Islamic terrorist operation and ordered federal officials to mislead the public about the true nature of the assault.

Although the FBI knew immediately that the mass-casualty event was a Muslim terrorist attack, Obama and FBI Director James Comey reportedly clashed over why Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik, opened fire Farook’s municipal government workmates, leaving 14 dead. They left a trail of social media evidence that went unused before the attack.

Whistleblower Phil Haney, an investigator who helped to create the Department of Homeland Security, revealed the government shut down a database he created that might have helped to prevent the attack. Haney says he looked into groups that had ties to Farook and Malik as far back as 2012. But civil rights officials accused him of unfairly profiling Muslims, removed his security clearance, and destroyed the data he collected. (Haney tells his story in Trevor Loudon’s powerful new documentary film about leftist and jihadist influence in the U.S. government, The Enemies Within.)

And don’t forget the 2013 Boston Marathon bombers, Tamerlan and Dzhokar Tsarnaev. The FBI had been investigating Tamerlan and Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) warned the Obama administration about his jihadist sympathies.

But Barack Obama doesn’t like reality intruding on his preferred narrative. Islam is a religion of peace, and Muslims have to be given the benefit of the doubt in his view.

Charlotte Had Racial Harmony. Then BLM and Nation of Islam Thugs Came

Charlotte Had Racial Harmony. Then BLM and Nation of Islam Thugs Came, PJ Media, Denise McAllister, September 22, 2016

charlotte-riots-fb-sized-770x415xt

A black leader from the Nation of Islam is calling for an economic boycott of the city of Charlotte. “Since black lives don’t matter in the city, then our black dollars shouldn’t matter,” he said:

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke responded, saying the fact that Keith L. Scott wielded a gun when police approached him, and that he was shot by a black officer, was purposely left out of the story by the liberal media “to stoke up anger and resentment”:

Look at what was on display last night. It looked like something that resembled something you see in a third world nation like Haiti. It didn’t represent the good city of Charlotte, North Carolina, here in the United States. You saw a primitive behavior on display at best, and at worse, you saw subhuman behavior as people just reacted to circumstances. Rioting, looting, is not a socially acceptable response to people’s frustration.

As a resident of Charlotte, I agree with Clarke 100 percent.

This does not represent my home, and contrary to the opinions of leaders from the Nation of Islam, black lives do matter in Charlotte — all lives matter, including the lives of our children, who are now worried about threats to their safety.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools has had to call in counselors to the schools to ease concerns among the students, and the superintendent has had to reassure parents that they are doing everything they can to keep our children safe.

Rioters, agitated by Black Lives Matter and Nation of Islam thugs, have no right to disrupt our community where blacks and whites typically live together in peace.

What many people don’t realize is that these protests didn’t just spring up in response to the shooting of Scott by a black police officer. Last year, the trial of a white police officer ended in a mistrial for shooting an unarmed black man, and he was never retried. The investigation was complicated, but a video showed the young man clearly running toward police officers when they told him to stand down. The police officer shot him in self-defense.

After the trial, a few protestors took to the streets, angry about the outcome. Black Lives Matter was part of that, but the protests fizzled. That’s because Charlotte, for the most part, has been a peaceful community with blacks and whites working side by side for the good of our families and our neighbors.

Clearly, those agitators never left. They pounced on this latest incident to stir up hate. The result has been violence, as they use fear to intimidate peaceful citizens to advance their own race-conscious agenda.

To malign the people of this city with false accusations of racism and injustice is wrong, and merely perpetuates violence. The rioters in Charlotte aren’t concerned about justice.

They’re not protestors — they’re criminals who are damaging property and injuring people.

As Clarke said, this is not a socially acceptable response to frustrations. The acceptable response to is wait for an investigation to be completed, for the facts to come to light, and then for steps within the law to be taken to remedy any violations of justice. There is no reason to rip a peaceful community apart, to disrupt its economy and hurt hardworking citizens — both black and white — who want to care for their families, or to scare children whose only concern should be their school work.

To cause this disruption is the real injustice here, and as a proud Charlotte citizen, I won’t allow the lies to go unchallenged, and neither should anyone who cares about justice and the lives of all people no matter the color of their skin.

ISIS suspected of mustard attack against US and Iraqi troops

Washington (CNN)ISIS is suspected of firing a shell with mustard agent that landed at the Qayyara air base in Iraq Tuesday where US and Iraqi troops are operating, according to several US officials.

The shell was categorized by officials as either a rocket or artillery shell. After it landed on the base, just south of Mosul, US troops tested it and received an initial reading for a chemical agent they believe is mustard.
No US troops were hurt or have displayed symptoms of exposure to mustard agent.
One official said the agent had “low purity” and was “poorly weaponized.” A second official called it “ineffective.”
A US defense official said troops had gone out to look at the ordnance after it landed. Based on seeing what they thought was a suspect substance, two field tests were conducted.
The first test was positive and the second was negative, the official said. The substance is now being sent to a lab for further examination.

Decontamination precaution

US troops involved in the incident went through decontamination showers as a precaution. No troops have shown any symptoms of exposure, such as skin blistering. CNN has reported on previous instances where ISIS has fired rounds with mustard agents in Iraq and Syria.
“I don’t know of a case like this where it was proximate to US forces like this before,” said one military official, noting that “potentially” the rocket round was “within hundreds of yards” of the US forces and “within the security perimeter” of the base.
The US officials said they “had expected” that ISIS might try use chemical weapons as US and Iraqi forces push towards Mosul in an effort to take the city back from ISIS. Several hundred US troops are using the base as a staging area for supporting Iraqi forces.
All of this has led the Pentagon to assess on a preliminary basis that it was ISIS that fired at the base, since the terror group has been making mustard agent for some time.
