In the second excerpt from the John Pilger Special, to be exclusively broadcast by RT on Saturday, courtesy of Dartmouth Films, Julian Assange accuses Hillary Clinton of misleading Americans about the true scope of Islamic State’s support from Washington’s Middle East allies.

In a 2014 email made public by Assange’s WikiLeaks last month, Hillary Clinton, who had served as secretary of state until the year before, urges John Podesta, then an advisor to Barack Obama, to “bring pressure” on Qatar and Saudi Arabia, “which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL [Islamic State, IS, ISIS] and other radical Sunni groups.”

“I think this is the most significant email in the whole collection,” Assange, whose whistleblowing site released three tranches of Clinton-related emails over the past year, told Pilger in an exclusive interview, courtesy of Dartmouth Films.

“All serious analysts know, and even the US government has agreed, that some Saudi figures have been supporting ISIS and funding ISIS, but the dodge has always been that it is some “rogue” princes using their oil money to do whatever they like, but actually the government disapproves. But that email says that it is the government of Saudi Arabia, and the government of Qatar that have been funding ISIS.”

Assange and Pilger, who sat down for their 25-minute interview at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, where the whistleblower has been a refugee since 2012, then talk about the conflict of interest between Clinton’s official post, which held throughout Obama’s first term, her husband’s nonprofit, and the Middle East officials, whose stated desire to fight terrorism may not have been sincere.

John Pilger: The Saudis, the Qataris, the Moroccans, the Bahrainis, particularly the first two, are giving all this money to the Clinton Foundation, while Hillary Clinton is secretary of state, and the State Department is approving massive arms sales, particularly Saudi Arabia.

Julian Assange: Under Hillary Clinton – and the Clinton emails reveal a significant discussion of it – the biggest-ever arms deal in the world was made with Saudi Arabia: more than $80 billion. During her tenure, the total arms exports from the US doubled in dollar value.

JP: Of course, the consequence of that is that this notorious jihadist group, called ISIL or ISIS, is created largely with money from people who are giving money to the Clinton Foundation?

JA: Yes.

Pilger also questioned Assange over increasingly frequent accusations from the Clinton camp, and Western media, that WikiLeaks is looking to swing next week’s US presidential election in favor of Donald Trump – perhaps at Russia’s behest.

But Assange dismissed the prospect of Trump, who is behind in the polls, winning as unlikely – and not necessarily due to his standing with the electorate.

“My analysis is that Trump would not be permitted to win. Why do I say that? Because he has had every establishment off his side. Trump does not have one establishment, maybe with the exception of the Evangelicals, if you can call them an establishment,” said Assange. “Banks, intelligence, arms companies, foreign money, etc. are all united behind Hillary Clinton. And the media as well. Media owners, and the journalists themselves.”

J-Street Makes Best Pro-Trump Pro-Israel Endorsement Video Ever

J-Street Makes Best Pro-Trump Pro-Israel Endorsement Video Ever, Jewish Press, November 3, 2016

Thanks to Brian of London, who only had to do some really minor tweaking, J-Street put out the best pro-Trump pro-Israel video ever.

The truth is, even without the tweaks the video would be a stunning endorsement for anyone who is pro-Israel.

The Stretch Drive (8)

The ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll today has Hillary moving back into a narrow lead again, but as all of the results right now are within the statistical margin of error, it means the race is essentially tied, and likely to stay that way through next Tuesday. However, most of the new state-by-state polls, which often lag national polls by a few days, show movement in Trump’s direction. Suddenly New Hampshire, Colorado, and Virginia, where Hillary had been comfortably ahead, now show the race close or with Trump in a slight lead (New Hampshire).

At the very least, the many people who said Donald Trump would suffer a McGovern- or Goldwater-level landslide loss have badly misjudged the mood of voters.

Before continuing with election analysis, let’s pause for a moment to take in the feel-good story of the day:

New York Times reports 95.7 percent fall in quarterly profit

The New York Times Co reported a 95.7 fall in quarterly profit, hit by restructuring charges related to headcount reductions.

Net profit attributable to the newspaper publisher fell to $406,000, or break-even per share, in the third quarter, from $9.4 million, or 6 cents per share, a year earlier.

Revenue fell to $363.6 million from $367.4 million.

The company, struggling to transition to digital, said online ad revenues grew 21.5 percent and now account for more than 35 percent of its advertising receipts.

Slim pickings indeed (heh). Coming soon: New York Times headline on the lousy economy.

Scott and Paul have reported on the blockbuster Fox News and Wall Street Journal news stories about the ongoing FBI investigations of the Clintons. What this means is simple: if Hillary wins, she’ll take office under a huge cloud of scandal, a potential indictment, and congressional investigations that may well start up during the lame duck session. If Hillary wins, I expect a new bumper sticker to appear by the following afternoon: “Impeach Clinton: This Time We’ll Do the Job Right!”

This Trump ad is pretty good:

Feminists defend Hillary Clinton against ‘sexist’ FBI investigation: ‘Bitch hunt’

Hillary Clinton supporters are employing a tried-and-true defense in the wake of the renewed FBI investigation into the Democratic presidential nominee’s emails: It’s “sexist.”

Writing in Time magazine, University of California, Berkeley linguistics professor Robin Lakoff described the investigation into the private server Mrs. Clinton used while secretary of state as a “bitch hunt.”

“I am mad,” Ms. Lakoff wrote. “I am mad because I am scared. And if you are a woman, you should be, too. Emailgate is a bitch hunt, but the target is not Hillary Clinton. It’s us.

“The only reason the whole email flap has legs is because the candidate is female,” she wrote. “Can you imagine this happening to a man? Clinton is guilty of SWF (Speaking While Female), and emailgate is just a reminder to us all that she has no business doing what she’s doing and must be punished, for the sake of all decent women everywhere.

Clinton has repeatedly apologized, but apparently not enough for her accusers,” the professor continued. ”In fact, her apologies were her only mistake. By apologizing she acknowledged guilt. But that’s what women are supposed to do (because women are always guilty of something). ”

National Book Award winner Joyce Carol Oates echoed that sentiment, arguing that the investigation into whether Mrs. Clinton’s use of a private email server compromised national security interests is “sexist.”

If the former secretary of state’s emails are subject to FBI scrutiny, Ms. Oates said, then so should those of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

“Time to investigate FBI emails. GOP emails. T***p emails,” Ms. Oates tweeted Monday, censoring Mr. Trump’s name. “Why focus exclusively on Hillary Clinton? Insane bias, indefensible & sexist.”

FBI director James Comey announced Friday that the bureau is taking another look at Mrs. Clinton’s email practices, after investigators found 650,000 emails on a laptop purportedly belonging to disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner, the estranged husband of top Clinton confidant Huma Abedin.

The emails were reportedly uncovered in a separate probe into the possibility that Mr. Weiner sent sexually lewd messages to a teenage minor.

America Is at Its Most Perilous Crossroads Since World War II

October 29, 2016

America Is at Its Most Perilous Crossroads Since World War II, PJ MediaRoger L Simon, October 28, 2016

hillary_mugshot_banner_8-12-16-1-sized-770x415xc

To say that the USA is at its most dangerous crossroads since World War II might sound overheated, if it were not so obviously true.

Our country is about to (or was about to—we’ll see) elect a woman president who, to a great many of us, possibly a majority, is indisputably a criminal and about to draw our federal government into nonstop litigation, more than likely leading to an impeachment trial at the least, weakening our already weakened state, blotting almost everything out and dominating all our attention and the airwaves for the next several years.

We didn’t really need this latest round of email allegations emerging from the disgusting marriage and lifestyles of  Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner, what the NY Post calls a “Stroking Gun,” to tell us that, but they have added a fillip, a certain je ne sais quoi to the political party formally known as “Democratic.”

All this is happening with the Middle East falling apart, radical Islam spreading across all the continents save Antarctica (maybe even there), Russia and China expanding their influence, North Korea and Iran building their militaries and weaponry with impunity and the global economy in tatters (and that’s not counting relatively local issues like the disintegration of Obamacare and the execrable condition of our inner cities).

And we have to listen to that appalling witch Hillary Clinton complaining that the FBI isn’t being “transparent” enough.  This is the same woman who took her entire business as secretary of State offline and lied about it so many times it would take all the abacuses in China to count it up.

As Joseph Welch famously said to Joseph McCarthy, “Have you no sense of decency, sir?”  Only this time it’s worse, because Hillary Clinton makes Joseph McCarthy seem like Mother Teresa.

Get ready, Mr. and Mrs. America, because we are headed for a “winter of our discontent” unlike any we have ever seen.  And there won’t be a son of York or Lancaster to save us.  With a president already known to have lied through his teeth about the email server, we don’t know where this is all going but we can be sure it’s nowhere good.

At this moment the so-called “liberals” (how does that misnomer seem now?) are in a frenzy, lashing out because they are afraid her gangster-ladyship might actually lose.  They yowl on Twitter that Donald Trump or Kellyanne Conway were too gleeful about the sudden emergence of the new emails (who knew that even Julian Assange could be upstaged?), but, as her ladyship herself opined, “What difference at this point could it make?”

None, really.

The situation is clear—and should be even to the #NeverTrump crowd now, if they are honest with themselves (hard to do for all of us, I know, but try). Yes, we are at the crossroads. Whatever you think of Donald Trump is pretty much irrelevant.  Sometimes things get remarkably simple … you know, those so-called moments of clarity, and we have one now:

If you consider yourself an American citizen who supports this country even a little bit—you don’t have to be a flag-waving patriot for this—how do you feel about a criminal sitting in the oval office of the White House as president of the United States?

If that disturbs you,  you know what to do.  If that doesn’t disturb you, well, anything goes or as some German once said, “The ends justify the means.” Or was that really a German? Maybe it was John Podesta. Or Cheryl Mills. Or Huma Abedin. Or Hillary Clinton.  I’m getting confused here.

No, I guess it was Karl Marx, after all.  They just updated him—in ways that could make them millions of dollars, hundreds of millions.  I mean, who wants to spend the rest of your life scratching lice out of your beard in the British Museum?  Who wants to be a sucker when you can make the rest of us into suckers?

Had enough?  I have.

Let’s save ourselves and put an end to it November 8.

The media is priming Donald Trump supporters for a loss

The media is priming Donald Trump supporters for a loss

Since the final presidential debate last week, many news outlets have been delivering an unvarnished message to Donald Trump supporters: Your candidate is virtually certain to lose the election Nov. 8.

Clinton probably finished off Trump last night,” FiveThirtyEight founder Nate Silver wrote the day after the debate. “Hillary Clinton is almost certain to be president,” Guardian columnist and former New York Times executive editor Jill Abramson added.

A day later, the Times’s Upshot blog increased Clinton’s chances of winning to 93 percent, an all-time high. On Monday, Politico’s Ben Schreckinger wrote that “Donald Trump’s path to an election night win is almost entirely closed.” Here at The Fix, Chris Cillizza and Aaron Blake wrote that “Donald Trump’s chances of winning are approaching zero.”

These are accurate, statistically sound statements. But they are something else, too. Declarations that Trump is highly unlikely to win also serve as counters to the Republican nominee’s warning that the “rigged” election could be “stolen from us.”

For Trump supporters to believe that the election was stolen, they would first have to believe that Trump actually won. And they would be more likely to believe Trump won if he had been winning, winning, winning right up to Election Day, only to have his lead suspiciously vanish overnight.

By making clear that Trump is not winning right now — and that he will be hard-pressed to mount a comeback in the final two weeks of the campaign — the media is effectively telling the billionaire’s backers, “Hey, don’t be skeptical if your guy loses. That’s the outcome you should expect.” The media is priming Trump supporters for (likely) defeat.

Trump has been sowing doubt about the legitimacy of the impending vote for weeks, and some of his supporters may refuse to recognize as valid anything other than victory. But the reality of Trump’s deficit — repeated over and over in the press — does appear to be sinking in.

“We are behind,” Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway acknowledged Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

[Kellyanne Conway is right. Donald Trump is losing.]

“I’m not going to lie to you,” Sean Hannity told radio listeners Monday. “Things aren’t looking great right now.”

Trump himself slipped during an interview with a Charlotte radio station Monday, conceding that he is “somewhat behind in the polls.” Later in the day, however, he returned to fantasyland at a rally in St. Augustine, Fla.: “Folks, we’re winning. We’re winning. We’re winning.”

Perhaps because he has noticed that the media is blaring his unfavorable poll numbers, Trump has taken to questioning the accuracy of the polls themselves — something he did not do when surveys showed him beating the Republican primary field or closing in on Clinton last month. Trump’s claim that he only appears to be losing because many polls oversample Democrats doesn’t hold up to scrutiny, as The Fix’s Philip Bump explained this week. But it is a telling argument.

Trump seems to realize that his voters won’t believe the election is rigged unless they believe he is truly winning. He is doing everything he can to convince them that is the case, while the media reports the opposite — and real — state of the race.

Caddell: Electing Hillary Clinton Will Institutionalize Corruption like a Third World Banana Republic

Democratic pollster and analyst Pat Caddell, in speaking of a potential Hillary Clinton presidency, told Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Thursday, “We’re talking about institutionalizing corruption in a way that is like a third-world Banana Republic if she’s elected.”

Caddell added, “And that is not being presented to the American people, who are quite concerned about corruption.”

Caddell was pointing out the degree to which the media have mostly ignored the details behind the questionable financial practices involving the Clintons, instead focusing far more on negative coverage of Donald Trump.

The two also discussed recent WikiLeaks revelations about Hillary Clinton’s indifference to corruption, as Breitbart News reported: “[Hillary Clinton] seems indifferent to the systemic corruption that makes it impossible for government to act for the middle class or address big problems, like climate or health care. She may be immune to pay-to-play, but the systemic isn’t. She’s got to distinguish between self and country — and needs to.”
