While the Russian and Syrian airstrikes on Aleppo continue, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said today (Friday) that the entire world needs to take action in order to end the “barbaric” situation in the city. Merkel added that if the attacks do not end, the EU will take measures against Russia and the Syrian government. Additional European leaders also condemned Russia for the continuous attacks on the city.

“We demand an end to the attacks,” said Merkel. “We have not only said that we could not only impose sanctions against Syria but also sanctions against all who are allied with Syria. This applies to Russia.” The EU leaders indented to impose new sanctions on Moscow but Italy has been opposing this course of action.

British Prime Minister Theresa May said that she would support sending a strict message to Russia and Syria in order to cause them to cease the attacks. UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein called the attacks on Aleppo “crimes of historic proportions.”

Wikileaks: Top Clinton Aides Details “Expensive Gifts” and Unethical Deals By Clintons Through Their Foundation, Jonathan Turley’s Blog, Jonathan Turley,October 21, 2016

Wikileaks has issued new and troubling emails from its hacking of Democratic accounts. Top Clinton aide Doug Band sent emails that raised objections to the use of the Foundation by Bill Clinton that raised troubling conflicts of interest. He specifically mentions the giving of “expensive gifts” and other conduct from sponsors. At the same time, top Hillary Clinton aide, Huma Abedin, is found complaining about a “mess” created by Hillary Clinton in securing a massive contribution from the King of Morocco of $12 million in exchange for a meeting with her as part of an event for the Clinton Global Initiative May 2015.

The Bond disclosure concerns the Clinton Global Initiative and a new business started by top Clinton aide Doug Band called Teneo Holdings. Both Band and Clinton’s held dual positions with Teneo and CGI. Bond wrote a November 17th email to John Podesta, Chairman of the 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign and long-time Clinton confidant. He objected to Pedestal that “I signed a conflict of interest policy as a board member of cgi . . . Oddly, [Bill Clinton] does not have to sign such a document even though he is personally paid by 3 cgi sponsors, gets many expensive gifts from them, some that are at home etc. . . I could add 500 different examples of things like this.” Bond was on the Clinton Foundation payroll through 2011, but, in June 2011, he and co-founder Declan Kelly, a former economic envoy for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, started Teneo in June 2011. They then made Bill Clinton a paid adviser. Chelsea Clinton was then appointed to the CGI board. Teneo then accepted money from groups like MF Global, a controversial brokerage firm that reportedly lost $600 million of investors’ money and had business deals that could be benefited by an association with the Secretary of State.

At the time of the emails, the Clinton staff were worried that there were questions being asked between CGI and Teneo. Band comes across as defensive and accusatory. He indicated that he knew of far worse conflicts by Bill Clinton and demanded “How then do we go through an exercise like this and [Bill Clinton] doesn’t as he is far more conflicted every single day in what he does?” Band later raised a Hillary Clinton with even worse “issues.”

In the meantime, Abedin (who is generally viewed as Hillary Clinton’s closest aide) authored a startling email that suggested a type of quid pro quo by Hillary Clinton in a foundation trade-off with Morocco for $12 million commitment to meet with the King of Morocco. The critical memo came in January 2015 with two top advisers Podesta and Robby Mook. It appeared that after cutting the deal for the money, Clinton had gotten cold feet due to the election. Abedin wrote that “this was HRC’s idea” and “she created this mess and she knows it.” It was decided that Hillary Clinton who go to campaign in Nevada and California while they had Bill and Chelsea meet with the Moroccans. Morocco at the time was under great pressure for what the U.S. government denounced as “arbitrary arrests and corruption.”

The last presidential debate with moderator Chris Wallace was the first to seriously probe allegations of a “pay to play” scheme associated with the Foundation. Clinton did not respond directly to the allegations but these emails are likely to magnify the concerns in the final weeks of the campaign.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign struggled to get the candidate to apologize for using a private email server as secretary of state, recently hacked emails reveal.

Clinton’s team tried for weeks to convince her before she finally sat down with ABC News anchor David Muir to say “I’m sorry.” Campaign chairman John Podesta described the apology as very painful for Clinton.

On September 8, 2015, the night the interview aired, Podesta emailed Neera Tanden, a Clinton adviser and the president of the Center for American Progress.

“She ate her spinach,” Podesta said. “Shouldn’t have been this hard, but thanks for weighing in.”

“I was physically sick on the prep call this morning feeling her pain (of course, I was inflicting most of it.)” Podesta said. “I have to say Mandy [Grunwald] was pretty stand up on pushing her too.”

Podesta added that he wished viewers could only see the end of the interview, where Hillary talked about the movie A League of Their Own.

“The ending of this is just so great,” he said. “Can we ever imagine a strategy to just get the last two minutes out without people having to watch 10 minutes of email answers first?”

Clinton said it was a mistake to have a private email server, while still claiming it was “allowed.” The State Department’s inspector general said using a private server was not allowed because of “significant security risks.”

“I do think I could have and should have done a better job answering questions earlier. I really didn’t perhaps appreciate the need to do that,” Clinton told Muir.

“What I had done was allowed, it was above board. But in retrospect, as I look back at it now, even though it was allowed, I should have used two accounts. One for personal, one for work-related emails. That was a mistake. I’m sorry about that. I take responsibility.”

Weeks before the interview, Clinton’s team wrestled with how to get their candidate to apologize because the scandal was causing a “character problem.”

“I know this email thing isn’t on the level,” Tanden wrote to Podesta on August 22. “I’m fully aware of that. But her inability to just do a national interview and communicate genuine feelings of remorse and regret is now, I fear, becoming a character problem (more so than honesty).”

“People hate her arrogant, like her down,” Tanden said. “It’s a sexist context, but I think it’s the truth. I see no downside in her actually just saying, look, I’m sorry. I think it will take so much air out of this.”

Tanden said it is not in Clinton’s nature to be transparent.

“She always sees herself bending to ‘their’ will when she hands over information, etc.,” she said. “But the way she has to bend here is in the remorse. Not the ‘if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t do it.’ A real feeling of – this decision I made created a mess and I’m sorry I did that.”

Podesta agreed, and said he and Jen Palmieri, Clinton’s communications director, were “in the same place.”

“Trying to figure out how to get [Hillary] there and best way to execute,” he said.

The emails were hacked from Podesta’s account and posted by Wikileaks. The U.S. director of national intelligence and the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security have accused “Russia’s senior-most officials” of hacking and leaking emails posted to Wikileaks and other sites in order to influence the 2016 election.

Help STOP the UNITED NATIONS attempt to wipe Israel from history

http://www.iltv.tv/unesco/?referrer=UnitedWithIsrael

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) passed a monumental draft resolution this past week denying the Jewish connections to the Temple Mount and Western Wall in Jerusalem.

Denying the Jewish connections to the Temple Mount and Western Wall in Jerusalem.

The draft will now move on to Unesco’s executive body, which will vote on whether to adopt it.

Citing the “need” for “the safeguarding of the cultural heritage of Palestine and the distinctive character of East Jerusalem” The resolution refers to the Temple mount (the location of two Jewish Temples) only as the “Al-Aqsa Mosque and Al-Haram Al-Sharif” affirming the Muslim affinity to the holy site and erasing all Jewish connection to Judaism’s holiest site.

By failing to mention any connection to the Jewish people to the Temple Mount, UNESCO has declared it position to hand over the rights and authority of Judaism’s most holy sites to the Palestinians.

The resolution was hailed by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas as: “An important message to Israel that it must end its occupation and recognize the Palestinian state and Jerusalem as its capital”

We must share our voice to protest this!

“To say that Israel has no connection to the Temple
Mount and the Western Wall is like saying that China
has no connection to the Great Wall of China or that
Egypt has no connection to the pyramids”

Anti-Semitism was required, Anti-Islamism is verboten

October 21, 2016

Anti-Semitism was required, Anti-Islamism is verboten, Israel National News, Janet Levy, October 21, 2016

In their recent documentary, Germans and Jews, filmmakers Tal Recanati and Junina Quint, portray Germany as having reached a nuanced reconciliation with its Nazi past by breaking the silence about it and facing it head-on.  Yet, several recent surveys of German attitudes toward Jews and the Jewish homeland reveal the persistence of strong, anti-Semitic attitudes that belie the filmmakers’ conclusions.

Indeed, Germany may actually be stoking anti-Semitism with its official policy of acceptance and open-mindedness toward Muslim immigrants, even to the point of allowing them expression of hatred toward Jews.  One of Germany’s major trade partners is Iran, hostile to Israel since the first Gulf War, and Germany continues to blame Israeli settlements for Middle East unrest.  Thus, Germany’s policy of acceptance and tolerance toward Muslims may actually mask an underlying anti-Semitism that stubbornly remains despite the passage of time.

The Surveys and Anti-Semitism Revealed

In 2011, a survey by the Freidrich Ebert Foundation,Intolerance, Prejudice and Discrimination, found that 49% of German respondents agreed with the statement that Jews were trying to take advantage of their people’s suffering during the Holocaust. Another 20% of Germans agreed that Jews have too much influence in their country, 30% agreed, “Jews don’t care about anything or anyone but their own kind.”

A 2015 study by the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research on Conflict and Violence from the University of Bielefeld found that 49% of Germans don’t want to hear anything about the Holocaust, 55% are angry that Germans are still accused of crimes against Jews, 28% responded that they can understand why people don’t like Jews considering Israel’s policies, and 27% say that Israeli policy toward Arab-Palestinians is not different from what the Nazis did to the Jews during the Third Reich.

In 2012, an Anti-Defamation League survey of Attitudes Toward Jews in 10 European Countries discovered the following about German respondents:  24% felt that Jews have too much power in international financial markets, 43% agreed that Jews talk too much about what happened to them in the Holocaust, 14% believe that Jews are responsible for the death of Christ, and 77% believed the government was doing enough to ensure the safety and security of its Jewish citizens.

The deep resentment and demonization of Jews revealed in the surveys are not indicative of a guilt-wracked, tortured people anxious to rise above the atrocities of the Nazi generation.  Clearly, large percentages of Germans still harbor harsh, anti-Jewish sentiments.

Muslim-Only Multi-culturalism

By contrast, Germans seem to apply the values of multiculturalism, diversity and tolerance to Muslims, bypassing Jews entirely.  Germany today houses Europe’s largest Muslim population, with the influx of Muslim refugees comprising almost 6% of the total population.  It leads the way as Europe becomes an increasingly multicultural and Islamic continent.  Yet, far from experiencing great anguish about dramatic increases in anti-Semitism that rose during the Holocaust, Germany appears indifferent toward the impact of Muslim interlopers on its Jewish population.

Paradoxically, Germany has accepted this wave of Muslim “refugees,” many of whom vacation in their war-torn homelands, while, the Third Reich persecuted Germany’s Jewish citizens, who, by and large, were productive members of society contributing substantially to the economy and culture of the state.  While Jews fled to avoid death camps and had few places to go during Nazi persecution, Muslims are welcomed in Europe.  Although more than 33 Muslim countries exist that could choose to accommodate Muslim refugees, five of the wealthiest – Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain – are unwilling to accept a single refugee.

During the Weimar Republic (1918-1933) which preceded the Third Reich, Jews, who were barred from certain professions, were disproportionately represented in law, medicine, journalism and retailing.  They were active in creative pursuits, business, diplomacy and government.  A Jew even drafted the Weimar Republic Constitution.  At the time, five of the nine German recipients of the Nobel Prize were Jewish scientists.  For the first time, German universities fully opened their faculties to Jewish scholars, including physicist Albert Einstein.

Although portrayed as “the enemy within,” a higher percentage of German Jews fought in World War I than any other ethnic group in Germany.  Over 12,000 gave their lives for their country.

Despite their sacrifice in that war, Jews were targeted beginning in the 1920s with wide circulation of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a forgery that claimed that Jews conspired to take over the world.

Given the contributions of a predominantly upright Jewish citizenry and their benign, contributory, integral presence in Germany, it is remarkable to consider what followed, even more so as we view today’s efforts to accommodate Muslim “refugees” who decline to work and integrate into German society and insist on shariah law supremacy in lieu of German constitutional law.  Further, Muslims in German have been linked to 69,000 crimes in the country in the first quarter of 2016!

Whether actively or passively, most Germans went along with the marginalization and demonization of Jews and the concomitant restrictive laws, ghettoization and, ultimately, the Final Solution.  Desperate Jews facing deportation to Nazi death camps were not widely welcomed as refugees by other countries.  Official German policy singled out Jews for ethnic cleansing to purify the Aryan race and made harboring and assisting Jews a crime punishable by death.

By comparison, today’s Muslims in Germany enjoy protections from persecution.  Social media is reviewed for offensive statements against Muslims.  Germans who openly object to the settlement of Muslim “refugees” are charged with incitement and hate speech, forced to pay fines and/or endure probation or suspended sentences.  German Chancellor Angela Merkel has gone so far as to chastise her fellow countrymen about those “with hate in their hearts”… “who seek to marginalize others.”  It is indeed striking to comprehend the gaping dissimilarities between official German policy toward its productive Jewish population during the Third Reich with the protections, generous entitlements and privileges afforded to today’s mostly parasitic Muslim refugee populations that refuse to become part of German society and are massively over-represented in every category of crime.

The official narrative, vastly different from the past party line about the Jews, is that the influx of Muslim refugees is having a positive, multi-cultural influence on Germany, that Islam is truly a religion of peace not represented by ISIS, and that random acts of terrorism have nothing to do with Islam.  Evidence for this distorted, benign view is non-existent and stands in sharp contrast to the Third Reich view of evil Jews as “subhuman” creatures infiltrating Aryan society, inhuman and unworthy of life itself.

This apocryphal perspective is further buttressed by efforts by German authorities and the media to conceal the dramatic rise in rapes, assaults and murders perpetrated by Muslim migrants.  Following the Cologne sexual attacks on New Year’s Eve during which 1,200 women were assaulted by groups of men described as Arab or North African, the North-Rhine Westphalia government ordered a cover-up to include the elimination of the word “rape” from police reports.  Of the 2,000 men involved, the authorities identified only 120 and they were given suspended sentences of a year or less.

The German media takes great pains to obscure the religion, nationalities and motives of Muslim assailants and often refrains from reporting incidents altogether to avoid charges of racism or xenophobia. In 2013, in an extreme case of Germany’s so-called open-mindedness, the prestigious Ludwig-Borne literary prize was given to a philosopher who sympathized with Islamic terrorist organizations and equated the 9/11 attacks with the Holocaust, the Allied bombings of Nazi Germany and the atomic bombing of Japan.

Anti-Semitism Revived

Reminiscent of the Third Reich era, displays of Jewish hatred and agitating against Jews are in full bloom in today’s Germany. Radical Islamic protestors are permitted to yell, “Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the gas,” “Jewish s—t” and “Jew, Jew, cowardly swine, come out and fight on your own.”  Yet those who call for the preservation of German culture, protest the massive influx of Muslim “refugees,” religious fanaticism and Islamic separatism and radicalism are shut down, depicted as Nazis, prosecuted for hate speech, fined and even jailed.   Appallingly, it has been alleged that the German government is busing in counter-protest groups to create opposition to anti-immigrant rallies.

Lutz Bachmann, the founder of PEGIDA, the organization that opposes the Merkel migration policy that has brought more than 1 million “refugees” to Germany last year, was convictedof inciting racial hatred which constituted an “attack on the dignity” of refugees and fined close to $11,000.  Quite a turnabout from a country that forced Jews out of their homes into ghettos, then death camps, encouraged its populace to turn them in and fomented Kristallnacht against Jewish businesses.

This past summer, the creators of a Facebook forum for AFB, an anti-refugee movement, were found guilty of hate speech for conducting online discussions about the migrant issue.  A teenage girl who posted a video, in which she expressed her fears for her safety, had her FB page taken down.

It defies belief that a Germany that once prized its Aryan identity to the point of committing genocide has gone so far as to encourage its citizens to submit to Islam and shariah.  A current television ad asks Germans to “Enjoy difference, start tolerance” by wearing the “beautiful hijab.”  Instead of requiring Muslims in Germany to adhere to cultural and social norms, parents have been warned not to let their daughters wear revealing clothing to avoid “misunderstandings” by Muslims who are thought unable to control themselves at the sight of a short skirt or bikini and will harass the girls.  Islamic education has even been introduced into German schools.  Seven out of Germany’s sixteen federal states now offer some form of Islamic religious education.

The pundits who claim “Holocaust guilt” as the driving force behind the present day pandering to Muslims and their demands are off track.  It is implausible to reconcile today’s Muslim “refugee” policies with stubbornly intransigent anti-Jewish sentiments and rationalize it as a reaction to Third Reich atrocities.

The popularity in Germany of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanction (BDS), belies claims of profound Holocaust guilt.  The BDS movement singles out Israel for criticism while ignoring the human rights violations of true tyrannical states.  It uses false analogies of apartheid and Nazi Germany against Israel and attempts to damage Israel economically and put a stop to academic and cultural exchanges.  It seeks to boycott Israel on all levels and to delegitimatize and eliminate Israel as a Jewish state.  In July, NGO Monitor discovered that the German government had been donating millions of euros to groups promoting BDS.   This, at the same time they were providing generous entitlements to Muslim refugees, despite the fact that they include ISIS supporters and that 13% of the refugees believe that suicide bombings are justified, according to a Pew Research poll.

Today, Germany is the top European trading partner of Iran, with sizable business interests in the Islamic terrorist state.  Yet German officials consistently condemn the only democracy in the Middle East, while displaying reticence to criticize Muslim Palestinian murderers of Israeli Jews.

In 2011, the German Foreign Ministry supported a UN Security Council resolution to condemn Israeli settlement construction as “illegal.”  Its top diplomat, Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle went so far as to meet with then-President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in Tehran.

The fixation on blaming construction projects in Israeli communities for the lack of Middle East peace and blaming Israel, not Palestinian terrorists, while, at the same time, pursuing a lucrative relationship with the Islamic terrorist state of Iran, contradicts the existence of any heartfelt remorse for anti-Semitism, past or present.  When Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Chancellor Merkel to express his disappointment about Germany’s position on the U.N. resolution, the Muslim “refugee” champion, who favored forcing Israeli Jews alone to freeze settlement construction, rebuked Netanyahu for “failing to advance peace” by telling him, “How dare you.  You are the one who is disappointing us.  You haven’t made a single step to advance peace.”

The hubris of this perverted policy in light of the yet un-atoned transgressions of the Holocaust and extant anti-Semitism is stunning.  European leaders like Merkel remain mum about continuing anti-Semitism and persist in vilifying the Jewish State, a country on the front lines of the war against Islamic terrorism.  At the same time, they pursue policies of Muslim appeasement and prohibit criticism of Islam in the name of multiculturalism.  Merkel and her compatriots are thus paving the way for continued crime, civil unrest, the rise of Islam within their borders, and the ultimate destruction of their countries.

Clinton Aides: Obama Knew About Her Server and Lied About it

Clinton Aides: Obama Knew About Her Server and Lied About it, Front Page Magazine, Daniel Greenfield, October 21, 2016

obama-hillary-interview_510x283_1

These email leaks have enabled the intriguing experience of being a fly on the wall in the Clinton camp. And here’s what Hillary’s people were saying when Obama tried to distance himself from her rogue email server operation.

Clinton adviser Philippe Reines wrote to colleagues in the campaign office in March 2015, expressing incredulity about Mr. Obama’s claim that he found out about the server at the same time as other Americans.

“One of us should connect with the WH just so they know that the email will show his statement to not make sense,” Mr. Reines wrote.

Jennifer Palmieri, who served as White House communications director and now works for Mrs. Clinton’s campaign, suggested that Mr. Reines talk to White House press secretary Josh Earnest or his deputy, Eric Schultz.

Of course we know that’s nonsense since Obama emailed Hillary. And he did so using a pseudonym.

President Barack Obama used a pseudonym in email communications with Hillary Clinton and others, according to FBI records made public Friday.

The disclosure came as the FBI released its second batch of documents from its investigation into Clinton’s private email server during her tenure as secretary of state.

So Obama lied. Hillary’s people knew he was lying.

ISIS hits Kirkuk, opens a 2nd front behind Mosul

October 21, 2016

ISIS hits Kirkuk, opens a 2nd front behind Mosul, DEBKAfile, October 21, 2016

kurdgenKurdish General. Mariwan Mohammed

No one doubted that the US-Iraqi-Kurdish offensive to liberate Mosul would be drawn out and fraught with unforeseen setbacks before the Islamic State was finally thrown out of its Iraqi capital. But on Oct. 21, five days into the Mosul operation, the ISIS terrorists landed their most severe blow, when Islamist fighters and suicide bombers suddenly hurled themselves on the Iraqi oil city of Kirkuk in a coordinated attack.

DEBKAfile’s military sources report that taking advantage of a chance to catch the US, Iraqi and Kurdish generals leading the attack on Mosul unawares, the Islamist fighters were able to open a second front to the rear of the main battle arena against ISIS.

Kirkuk is some 175km southeast of Mosul and 230km from Baghdad. By hitting this important oil city, the terrorists came close to enough to menace the autonomous Kurdish Regional Government region and its capital, Irbil, and expose the Kurdish Peshmerga troops fighting for Mosul.

Our military sources note that a large Peshmerga force of some 11,000 troops had been posted to secure the town and its oil fields, under the command of Gen. Mariwan Mohammed.

But then, on Wednesday, Oct. 19, the US-Iraqi-Kurdish joint command of the Mosul offensive decided that Kurdish reinforcements were necessary to provide the operation with greater impetus. The extra Peshmerga troops were accordingly ordered to set out from Khazar, 40 km east of Mosul, and join the coalition offensive.

However, what they missed, despite the mainly American spy satellites, drones and reconnaissance planes collecting intelligence, was an ISIS concentration clandestinely building up at Hawja, 57km east of Kirkuk. According to our military sources, some of the jihadists reported by the Western media to have turned tail on the run from Mosul had been gathering to the southeast, some 57km from Kirkuk. They stood ready to attack that town.

Their opportunity came when the large Kurdish group exited Kirkuk and headed out to Mosul. Kirkuk was left exposed without defenders.

Friday morning, the Islamic State launched its surprise attack on the defenseless oil city. Its fighters and suicide bombers slammed into four police stations, Kurdish security offices, residential neighborhoods and a power station to the north. Clashes continued during the day with unknown casualty figures on both sides.

At some point, the governor claimed control of the city was regained but residents reported the clashes continued.

ISIS said in a statement it had seized “half the city” and had also attacked the Dubiz power plant, killing all the security forces inside, but the claims were not possible to verify.

Will Alberta police investigate Mohammad’s ruling on gays as hate speech?

Global News reported that a second “an anti-Islam flyer” was found in mailboxes in Edmonton, Alberta. The police hate crimes unit has launched an investigation.

The flyer reads the following:

I HATE GAYS

Thinks Islam

The Quran:

Kill the one that is doing it and also kill the one that it is being done to him. (in

reference to the active and passive partners in gay sexual intercourse)

Is this advocating peace, love and freedom in your eyes?

IT’S TIME TO

#ShiptThemThe****Back

www.siotw.org [STOP ISLAMIZATION OF THE WORLD]

To see the flyer click HERE.

Alannah Davies, Edmonton resident who received the flyer in her mailbox and Jesse Lipscombe, founder of the racism initiative Make It Awkward, condemned the hate content of the flyer.

Faisal Khan Suri, president of the Alberta Muslim Public Affairs Council (AMPAC), called on police to investigate the flyer. The Alberta Muslim Public Affairs Council (AMPAC) sent the following statement to Global News:

AMPAC emphatically condemns the hate flyers being distributed in Edmonton for the second

time. The flyers are hate propaganda with fabricated assertions about Islam and Muslims.

Islam does not condone the killing of any innocent life.

We are urging the EPS to investigate these acts as hate crimes and brings those responsible to justice…

Islamophobia in not just a Muslim issue – it’s an Alberta issue and a Canadian issue.”

Does the flyer contains fabricated assertions about Islam”?

The authors of the flyer quoted hadith (narration) attributed to Mohammad, the prophet of Islam, explaining the Islamic ruling in case of homosexuality.

The same hadith and interpretation appears on the Islamic website Mission Islam:

“Kill the one that is doing it and also kill the one that it is being done to.” (in reference to the active and passive partners in gay sexual intercourse).”

The team behind Mission Islam website present themselves as “concerned Muslims” who strive to “promote accurate representation of Islam… to increase awareness as to the extent of oppression against Muslims… [and] to remind Muslims of their responsibility to participate and support their brothers and sisters in Islam.”

The hadith in question also included in an Islamic ruling published by the Islamic website “Islam Question and Answer” which is recommended by Islamic organizations in Canada.

The following are excepts from the Islamic ruling on the punishment for homosexuality:

The crime of homosexuality is one of the greatest of crimes, the worst of sins and the most abhorrent of deeds, and Allaah punished those who did it in a way that He did not punish other nations…

al-Tirmidhi (1456), Abu Dawood (4462) and Ibn Maajah (2561) narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever you find doing the action of the people of Loot, execute the one who does it and the one to whom it is done.”. Classed as saheeh [reliable narration] by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi…

The Sahaabah [Mohammad’s companions] were unanimously agreed on the execution of homosexuals, but they differed as to how they were to be executed.

Some of them were of the view that they should be burned with fire

and some of them thought that they should be thrown down from a high place then have stones thrown at them…

Some of them thought that they should be stoned to death

After the Sahaabah, the fuqaha’ [scholars] differed concerning the matter.

Some of them said that the homosexual should be executed no matter what his situation, whether he is married or not.

Some of them said that he should be punished in the same way as an adulterer, so he should be stoned if he is married and flogged if he is not married.

Some of them said that a severe punishment should be carried out on him, as the judge sees fit.”

The Islamic ruling on the punishment for homosexuality – The Canadian perspective

Imam Dr. Abdullah Hakim Quick (Toronto):

So he [journalist] said: what is the position of Islam on homosexuality? They ask me. So newspaper, right? So I said: put my name in the paper. The position is death. And we cannot change Islam…

If he is serious, and a person came to me, and he came in the office and and he said he was homosexual, cried. I said: what happened to you? And he said: my father abused me. Heis a Muslim. So I… said: brother, you know your are sick. He said: I’m sick.

So we sent him to a Muslim psychiatrist, so he can work through his problem, and then bring him back into the masjid (mosque).

So anything can can come now these days. Anything is going to come at us, but we cannot allow in the name of Islam gay masjid (mosque) to come. We cannot allow this, man. And they’re trying to do this…

[Question from the audience whether the “Jews” are behind homosexuality]

It [homosexuality] goes with Zionism. And really it seems like, Allah knows best (الله اعلم), if they are Dajjal’s (Antichrist دجال) army while it is mostly Jews (يهود) but probably there will be homosexuals with them too. Allah knows best (الله اعلم).

Syed Muhammad Rizvi (Toronto):

In the Islamic legal system, homosexuality is a punishable crime against the laws of God. In the case of homosexuality between two males, the active partner is to be lashed a hundred times if he is unmarried and killed if he is married; whereas the passive partner is to be killed regardless of his marital status.

In the case of two females (i.e., lesbianism), the sinners are to be lashed a hundred times if they are unmarried and stoned to death if they are married.

Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips (Toronto):

It becomes a problem. Delaying Marriage… That’s the consequence. Once we delay it brings in corruption. Worse than that, you end up with lesbianism, homosexuality gets born out of those circumstances.”

Imam Wael Shihab (Toronto):

Homosexuality is a sinful act in Islam. As for you question about how we should deal with homosexuals, I’d cite the following fatwa of Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi, president of the Fiqh Council of North America:

We should consider them people who get themselves engaged in a sinful act. We should deal with them in the same way we deal with any people who are involved in alcoholics, gambling or adultery.

We should have deep repugnance to their acts and we must remind and warn them. Those who insist on this lifestyle, consider it legitimate and feel ‘gay pride’, we should not associate with them and should not take them as friends. We should certainly avoid those people.

If we see a person who has committed this sin and wants to repent then we should help that person as much as we can to get out of this evil. We should not leave him/her to thetemptations of the Satan…”In Islam, changing one’s sex is not permissible if the person (male or female) has ‎complete male or female sex organs….

Moreover, I have consulted reliable medical sources, which confirm the following:

1. A person who undergoes sex-change operation will not be a complete man or woman. So, if a man changed his gender to a woman, she then will not be able to bear children or breastfeed them. The same also applies to a woman who changes her gender to a man; he will not be able to have children.

2. It is easy for a person, after having sex-change operation, to return back to his or her original sex.

Given the above, it’s my advice for him to return back to his original sex and go through professional counseling and treatment to lead normal happy life.”

Imam Syed B. Soharwardy (Calgary):

According to the teachings of Islam homosexual behaviour is an abnormal behaviour and must be cured. Homosexuality is completely forbidden in Islam and it is one of the KABA-IR (big) sins according to Islam.”

Imam Mustafa Khattab (Edmonton):

Homosexuality is not permissible. The reason the people of Lot peace be upon him were destroyed in Sodom and Gomorrah, because of this sin, so it is not permissible. Deal with someone, with a homosexual, in my view, as I said homosexuality is abnormal, this is not the norm.

So, for me, someone who is homosexual is like someone who has diabetes or someone who has cancer or AIDS, he has a special case and this person needs special treatment.

Can I talk to them? Why not? Just like I talk to everybody, ok. But, personally I don’t like to be associated with them.

One day, we were in California, in Los Angeles and we were sitting around a table… this guy was sitting next to me… he said: I’m personally a gay… I moved my chair. I didn’t feel comfortable to sit next to the guy. Again, you can talk to them.”

Imam Muneer El-Kassem (London, Ont.):

El-Kassem implied that Allah punished mankind with global wide economic crisis because of homosexuality (“some sexual orientations”) and immodesty (“dressed half naked”). According to Munir El-Kassem, the climate change as it is seen reflected in the prolonged drought in Middle East is actually Allah’s retribution for the people who avoid giving charity.

Muslim preacher at Toronto’s Dundas Square:

If you are gay you are cursed, because it is disgusting, because you area man and you are having sex with another man which is the cause of AIDS.”

“You want to be proud to be a gay and this is the cause of AIDS and that is a punishment from God.”

“You’ll see all these homosexuals, they are spitting… because they are dying of AIDS, and the truth is the truth. I’m here to bring the truth… It is the punishment of God. God is punishing them by bringing them AIDS.”

Homosexuality is wrong and a sin and if you are a homosexual you are cursed. It doesn’t matter if it is your right… you will have to answer your Lord… when you die you will have to answer to God for your evil Satanic actions.”

“The truth is the truth and the truth has to be spread… because the City is days before the Gay Parade, right? and as a Muslim I have to enjoy the good and forbid the evil. I have to do it because I’m committed by Allah as a Muslim to enjoy good and forbid evil.”

If you go to Church and Wellesley you see these homosexuals spitting, because they are dying of AIDS.”

“People want to defend them. How can you defend something Satanic… how can you defend AIDS? It is immoral… Homosexuality is immoral.”

The book Minhaj – Al – Muslim, or “The way of a Muslim” (sold in Islamic bookstores in Canada), p. 511 of the book (Vol. 2):

The Hadd [fixed punishment] of homosexuality is stoning to death, with there being no difference between the married or unmarried person. This is due to the Prophet’s statement:

Whoever you find doing the deed of the people of Lut (i.e. sodomy), then kill the doer and the one

to whom it is being done.” (Abu Dawud, At-Tirmithi and others, and it is Sahih [reliable])

The methods of killing them (the two who committed the homosexual act) that have been related from the Companions have differed. From among them there were those who burned them with fire. Others among them killed them by stoning them with stones. Ibn ‘Abbas said about them. “The highest building in the village should be sought, then they should be thrown from it upside down (i.e. on their heads). Then they should stoned after that.”

The book “The Lawful and the Prohibited in Islam” By Yusuf Al Qaradawi (sold in Islamic bookstores in Canada):

Sexual Perversion: A Major Sin…

Lut’s people were addicted to this shameless depravity, abandoning natural, pure, and lawful relations with women in the pursuit of this unnatural, foul and illicit practice…

The jurists of Islam have held different opinions concerning the punishment for this abominable practice. Should it be the same as the punishment for zina [adultery, which means that the married sinner is stoned to death], or should both the active and passive participations [sic] be put to death? While such punishments may seem cruel, they have been suggested to maintain the purity of the Islamic society and to keep it clean of perverted elements.”

The book Fatawa Islamiyah or Islamic Verdicts (sold in Islamic bookstores in Canada), (Vol. 6, p. 199):

The Ruling on Sodomy and the Punishment Thereof

What is the ruling on sodomy in Islam and what is the punishment?

The shameful act of sodomy is one of the most repugnant of shameful acts and we seek refuge with Allah (from it). Because of it, Allah destroyed the people of Lut, peace be upon him, and punished them with a terrible punishment, turning their homes upside down and raining stones of baked clay upon them, layer upon layer, (as Allah said): “marked from your Lord and they are not ever far from the wrongdoers.”

It has been reported from the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, that the punishment for one who does that or allows it to be done to him is that he be killed. Or, tobe burnt or to be stoned. Or, to be thrown from the highest point (mountain, tower, lofty building etc.), then to follow it with stoning.

This is because of its corruption of morals, customs, and because of its violation of the natural human state, and because the abandonment of lawful marriage by those who practice.

The book “Clear Your Doubts About Islam” (distributed for free at the Islamic book at Toronto’s Dundas Square):

Why does Islam oppose homosexuality? Where is freedom of choice?

In the West today. homosexuality and lesbianism have come to be seen as an alternative lifestyle subject to personal preference. It is no longer considered an abnormality that requires restraint and treatment, and is being actively promoted by its adherents and their sympathizers as a legitimate way of life. Arguments in favor of tolerance toward same sex relationships arc based on the assumption that homosexual behavior is biologically based and not merely learned from society.

Islam considers homosexuality to be the result of human choice. Human beings are not robots that do only what they are programmed to do. They choose how to behave and God holds them responsible for their choices. It is inconceivable that God would have made some people homosexuals then declared it a punishable crime. To accept such a proposition is to suggest that God is unjust.

Inclinations can exist within humans toward a variety of natural acts and unnatural ones such as rape, paedophilia or bestiality. These inclinations may arise from media influence or direct contact, but it does not mean that free reign should be given to them.”

Homosexuality is a “major sin”

The Meadowale Islamic Centre in Mississauga, Ontario included “sodomy, homosexuality” in the list of “The Five Evils” (newsletter. March & April 2015).

The unseen war: The Islamist assault on dissidents

October 21, 2016

The unseen war: The Islamist assault on dissidents, Asia Times, Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, October 20, 2016

Since September 2001, terrorism has dominated the headlines. But there is a much less discussed form of terrorism — assault on dissidents in which the very systems meant to protect them fail and hand them over to their killers.

The attack on dissidents is robbing families of their loved ones, instilling fear in communities, and obstructing many pathways toward deep reform within the House of Islam. It is long overdue for security forces and governments to modify their policies and stand unwaveringly by the universal human right of free speech.

Last month, Jordanian writer and political activist Nahed Hattar was murdered in cold blood outside a local court for “insulting Islam” by sharing a satirical cartoon on his Facebook page.

Hattar was murdered by a “known extremist” cleric as he was facing trial by his own government which opposed his freedom expression. These autocratic and quasi-theocratic governments often light the fuses of radicalism which at times they explode themselves and other times hand over blindly to rogue assassins who they empower.

In Bangladesh, bloggers who question theocracy are slaughtered in broad daylight – this year alone, at least eight dissident bloggers have been murdered. In Pakistan, dissidents and even lawmakers who break rank with the religious establishment are murdered with impunity – often with their own bodyguards tipping off and aiding the killers. When they are not killed, Muslim reformers, dissidents and freethinkers are threatened, stalked and made to live in fear. With the continued advance of Islamic State and those who are inspired by them, the problem is growing.

While some of these cases make headlines, many go unnoticed by the broader public. Worst of all, those who tacitly endorse such crimes are more prevalent than ever. Even in the United States, non-violent Islamists enthusiastically harass reformists on social media and at public events, spotlighting them with slanderous comments, inciting others to hate them, and leaking false personal information about them online.

You’d think that the broader society would completely marginalize such malignant actors. Unfortunately, you’d be wrong in many cases.

Nonviolent Islamists who knowingly cause dissidents to be targeted with harassment and threats aren’t just allowed to continue their malicious activities – they are positioned as representatives of the Muslim community in the media and even in the halls of political power, from Washington to London and even at the United Nations. It is when these individuals are granted legitimacy through political and social clout that they become even more dangerous.

For example, in the United States, Islamist groups like the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), whose leadership has targeted members of the Muslim Reform Movement (including myself) as well as women’s rights and LGBT activists, have trained law enforcement on how to treat Muslims – when they themselves incite hate campaigns against minorities within the Muslim community.

At the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) claims to represent all of the world’s Muslims and even purporting to fight anti-Muslim bigotry. However, the OIC’s ideology and resulting actions – which include seeking to criminalize any speech or art they deem “offensive” to their interpretation of Islam – are exactly what inspire radicals to slit the throats of dissidents. Their governments and attendant systems are the malignant cauldrons that brew the ideas, culture, legalisms, and ideologues that suffocate reform.

The OIC, true to its name, has one purpose and that is to maintain control of the “House of Islam” by Islamists and suppress the diverse voices of anti-Islamist, pro-liberty reformers. Each Islamist regime does both domestically and globally. Domestically, they do so either directly or passive-aggressively by giving militants impunity over the murder of reformers, and globally they do so by making the free world in the West believe that Islamism and its attendant sharia states is the only possible form of Islam.

How can this be stopped? Through the education of the Muslim community as to the nefarious aims of Islamist regimes and their sympathizers; and by holding politicians, the media and national security establishments worldwide accountable for their empowerment of the worst within the Muslim community. While we must pay urgent heed to stopping violent extremism, that is only a tactic among many tried by Islamist movements. We must more importantly engage boldly and take sides in the war of ideas within the “House of Islam.” We must disarm non-violent Islamists as the theocrats they are in their war against dissidents, minorities and truth-sayers.
