Ministers Demand ‘Whatever Needed to Destroy Hamas’ In Sderot Lapid says ‘no sane country would tolerate this,’

Danon leaves option of ground invasion on the table.

Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon and Finance Minister Yair Lapid visited Sderot on Thursday, shortly after a Kassam rocket fired by terrorists in Gaza hit a summer day camp moments before children were set to arrive.

The building was the second to be directly hit in Sderot since Wednesday night, as the rocket barrage from the Hamas enclave continues to escalate.

An Arutz Sheva correspondent was on hand at Sderot to film Danon and Lapid’s calls from the heavily-hit southern town.

Lapid noted that he had just been at the home of Naftali Frenkel (16), who along with Eyal Yifrah (19) and Gilad Sha’ar (16) was abducted and murdered by Hamas terrorists on June 12.

Connecting the incidents, Lapid indicated the Sderot wreckage, saying “this is a house in which five children live in and which was bombarded by Hamas missiles during the night.”

“Any sane country will not tolerate a situation in which their kids are being killed on a daily basis,” remarked Lapid, threatening the terrorist organization Hamas with a firm response.

For his part, Danon called on the government to “do whatever is necessary to protect Israel even if it means that the children will be in shelters for the next two months, the people of Sderot are ready to do it” in order to achieve long term stability.

When asked about the possibility of an IDF ground operation in Gaza, Danon repeated that Israel must “do whatever is necessary…from the air, from the sea, from the ground, whatever is necessary.”

“Do whatever it takes to destroy the Hamas organization,” emphasized Danon.

The statements comes as Israel carried out a troop deployment of reserve officers at the “headquarter, not field level” near the Gaza border on Thursday, and as rockets from the Hamas enclave continue to fall in a recent escalation of attacks.

Sderot has been particularly hard-hit by the recent Gaza rocket escalation; on Thursday a rocket hit open area right next to the Sderot industrial area, causing no injuries.

Sderot’s industrial area took a harsh blow on Saturday night, when a direct hit was recorded on a plastics factory, burning it completely to the ground.

Parents of Murdered Arab Can’t Keep Story Straight

Parents of Murdered Arab Can’t Keep Story Straight

Still no evidence Jews killed their son.

via Parents of Murdered Arab Can’t Keep Story Straight | Truth Revolt.

According to multiple reports, the parents of the murdered Arab youth gave contradictory statements to the police and media on Wednesday. Israel’s Arutz Sheva documented the recent development:

In a little-noticed report on Channel Two Wednesday night, analyst and reporter Moshe Nussbaum presented information which could upend the police inquiry into the murder of Muhammad Abu Khadr, the Beit Hanina youth whose burned body was found in the Jerusalem Forest early Wednesday.

In the report, Nussbaum cites contradictory statements by the youth’sparents, who both told police different stories about another attempted kidnapping – that of Muhammad’s nine year old brother – that may or may not have taken place.

Speaking on Israel Radio Thursday, Mohammed’s father said he had called police at about 4 a.m. Wednesday to tell them that his son was being kidnapped, and said that they could trace his cellphone, which was still active. Police have not commented on the content of the call Mohammed’s father said he made.

However, Nussbaum said, police were quite definitive that another call the family made to police on Tuesday turned out not to be the emergency the Abu Khadrs claimed it was. On Tuesday, police said, the mother called police to say that “settlers” had tried to kidnap her younger son. She said that individuals had stopped a car in front of her house where she was sitting with her son, and that they tried to grab him. She managed to hold onto him, she said, and they left, at which point she called police.

Officers arrived a few minutes later to take her statement, in which she said “settlers” had tried to kidnap her son, but could give no details. However, a few minutes later the father arrived, and he disputed his wife, saying that it was Arabs who tried to kidnap the son.

Police asked the father if he was positive regarding the identity of the would-be kidnappers, and he said he was. When they asked him to file a police complaint, he said he would, but that he would come down to the police station later on to do so in order to be able to comfort his son. He never showed up, police said, who contacted him several times asking him to file the complaint – but to no avail.

When asked on Israel Radio as to the identity of the kidnappers, Mohammed’s father said he did not know – but that it should be an easy matter for police to figure it out, because their images were captured on video by one of the many security cameras in the area.

“All they have to do is put the pictures on TV and I am sure someone will identify them,” he said.

An Israeli official also spoke to Arutz Sheva and refuted the idea that Israelis carried out a revenge attack:

Speaking to Arutz Sheva Wednesday, a senior former police official opined that the abduction and murder of Al Khadr was most likely a criminal act, rejecting the claim that Jewish “revenge” for the murdered Israeli teens lay behind it. The official noted that the family of the murdered 16-year-old was well known to police sources in Jerusalem.

“It’s a problematic family with internal clashes that have been ongoing for many years. I have no doubt that as time passes it will be clarified that the murder was criminal and nothing more,” the ex-official said, speaking to Arutz Sheva on condition of anonymity.

Police, for their part, have refused to speculate over the motive for the killing and say that at the moment they are pursuing all possible leads – both nationalistic and criminal.

Many officials, including John Kerry, rushed to condemn the murder and cited the potential “revenge” motive although legitimate evidence remains absent.

amas political leader Khaled Mashaal has again denied his movement’s involvement in the killing of three Israeli teenagers on June 12, and tried via the Turkish prime minister to dissuade Israel from launching a massive strike on the Gaza Strip, Sky News Arabia reported on Wednesday.

Unnamed sources told the British channel that Mashaal has attempted to convey a message to Israel through the Turks saying that Hamas is uninterested in escalation, and continues to adhere to a ceasefire agreement reached with Israel following Operation Pillar of Defense in November 2012. Mashaal also said that “Hamas had no involvement or knowledge” of the kidnapping.

Mashaal’s statements came amid a military escalation in the Gaza Strip, with Hamas claiming responsibility on Monday night for the firing of rockets into southern Israel. The Israeli Air Force struck 34 targets in the Gaza Strip early Tuesday, carrying out “precision strikes” against Hamas and Islamic Jihad structures, the IDF said in a statement.

Hamas media reported a phone call between Mashaal and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan late Monday night, in which Mashaal updated his counterpart on “the Israeli escalation against the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused Hamas of standing behind the kidnapping and murder of Gil-ad Shaar, Eyal Yifrach and Naftali Fraenkel, whose bodies were found in a field outside Hebron on Monday. The two suspected kidnappers, Amer Abu Aysha and Marwan Kawasme — still at large — are known members of Hamas in Hebron.

Mashaal has already publicly denied knowledge of the kidnapping. In an interview with Qatari news channel Al-Jazeera on June 23, the Hamas leader said that in the absence of information on the youths’ whereabouts, he could “neither confirm nor deny” Hamas’s involvement.

“Blessed be the hands that captured them,” Mashaal added, however. “This is a Palestinian duty, the responsibility of the Palestinian people. Our prisoners must be freed; not Hamas’s prisoners — the prisoners of the Palestinian people.

Hamas: We will continue to kidnap Israelis

Hamas is continuing to threaten Israel even as concern grows in Palestinian circles over Israeli retaliation for the kidnapping and murder of three teens. Hamas official Mushir al-Masri in Gaza warned Israel against an escalation in the Gaza Strip, adding that Hamas possesses rockets and missiles capable of reaching Tel Aviv and the densely populated Gush Dan area.

“Hamas will continue kidnapping soldiers and Israelis until the last Palestinian in Israeli prison is freed,” Masri said.

A senior Palestinian official in Ramallah told Israel Hayom that despite the threats, Hamas is not interested in a violent escalation. The official said the Hamas leadership is holding intensive talks with the heads of other Palestinian groups in Gaza in an attempt to calm tensions and to prevent more rockets from being fired at Israel.

He also said the other Palestinian groups in Gaza are also not interested in an escalation, and that the number of rockets being fired from Gaza will decrease in the coming days.

According to Palestinian reports, messages delivered from Israel to Hamas by a third party said that Israel would not continue to suffer the rocket attacks and would retaliate. An official in Ramallah said that messages to Hamas from Israel are delivered via the Palestinian Authority and officials in Qatar.

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhairi confirmed in an interview on Lebanese television that his organization is not interested in escalation.

“We are not interested in another war with Israel,” he said. “However, if Israel continues to attack and sets fire to our territory, Hamas will have a strong reaction. I suggest that Israel not test Hamas’ patience.”

Meanwhile in Ramallah, frantic appeals are being made to international organizations to prevent Israel from carrying out a “disproportionate response” to the kidnapping and murder of the teens.

Palestinian media reported that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and his officials are holding talks with officials in Washington, Europe and Western countries regarding concerns over possible Israeli retaliation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip and collective punishment of Palestinians in Hebron.

It was also reported that Abbas reached out to the Arab League, asking to hold an emergency conference on the issue.

Arab League Deputy Chairman Muhammad Sabich confirmed the reports, and in interviews given to Arabic press, blamed Israel for the situation. “Israel is the one that caused all the tension because of the ongoing arrests in the Palestinian territories,” he said.

Meanwhile, Israel has revived a long-lapsed policy of destroying suspected militants’ homes, following the finding of the teens’ bodies on Monday.

Israeli forces destroyed the homes of Marwan Qawasmeh and Amer Abu Aisheh, two Palestinian terrorists suspected of abducting and killing the teens.

Bibi’s gift to the killers

By Zalmi Unsdorfer7/2/2014, 2:07 PM

via Blog: Zalmi Unsdorfer, Bibi’s gift to the killers – Arutz Sheva.

Demolishing the homes of terrorists is 1970’s technology and these days is nothing but a gift to the families of those who murdered our three boys.

There can be no doubt that the same funds which pay salaries to terrorists already in Israeli jails will have already moved these families into one or more of the 40 five-star hotels listed by Trip Advisor for the ‘Palestinian Territories’.

Or perhaps one of the many fine hotels in Gaza City like the 5-star ultra-luxurious Al-Mashtal hotel, pictured here.

Most likely they will stay in these hotels for 6 to 9 months while new villas are built for them, with all the trappings that befit the hero-status of families who slaughtered three of our best and brightest Jewish boys in the space of an hour.

Those funds for convicted terrorists were recently exposed by investigative author Edwin Black as coming from public and tax exempt funds in the US and EU. In his bestselling exposé ‘Financing the Flames’ Black shows how US/EU funds are used to pay prisoners’ monthly salaries according to the scale of their butchery.

Ahlam Tamimi, the girl who assisted the Sbarro restaurant bombing in 2001 will have received a far greater salary for 15 dead and 130 wounded than Ziad Awad can hope to get for killing just one Baruch Mizrachi on the eve of last Pesach.

We now know that Awad had previously been released in the exchange for Gilad Shalit.

So incidentally was Tamimi. We must wonder whether and when we shall be hearing from her again.

Things have moved on since house demolitions were useful as a deterrent. Ariel Sharon realized this when upping the ante against Hamas in 2004, when the IDF took out their Sheikh Yassin and terror chief Rantisi, the so-called “Lion of Palestine” – within 3 weeks of each other.

Under Sharon it is doubtful that Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal would still be breathing 24 hours after the discovery of the three bodies.

So Bibi, let’s get serious.

For once, do what actually needs to be done … not what pleases other world leaders who don’t seem to have a clue what it’s really about.

A day after slain Israeli teens Gil-ad Shaar, Naftali Fraenkel and Eyal Yifrach were laid to rest, Jewish-Arab tensions are flaring. Meanwhile, in Jerusalem, the government is weighing further responses to the killings. Stay with The Times of Israel for live coverage throughout the day.

UK Jewish community to hold vigil outside Israeli embassy

The UK Jewish community plans to hold a candlelight vigil this evening outside the Israeli embassy in London to show solidarity with the families of Gilad Shaar, Eyal Yifrach and Naftali Fraenkel.

The leadership of the community, which will gather outside the embassy building in Kensington at 6:45 p.m. London time, invites the British Jewish community and friends of Israel to join in expressing “solidarity with the families, loved ones and the Israeli public for the three innocent teenagers who were murdered in cold blood after being abducted more than two weeks ago.”

The vigil will also be attended by representatives of the embassy and communal organizations, including the Board of Deputies of British Jews, the Jewish Leadership Council, United Jewish Israel Appeal, the Zionist Federation, We Believe in Israel and the Union of Jewish Students.

UK Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis and Senior Rabbi to the Movement for Reform Judaism Laura Janner Klausner are slated to speak at the gathering.

In other news, a spokesman the Board of Deputies of British Jews “unequivocally” condemns the “deplorable” killing of Mohammad Abu Khdeir.

“Whatever the motive for this killing, it is utterly deplorable and we condemn it unequivocally. At this fragile time — in aftermath of the killings of the three Israeli teenagers — we all have a responsibility to promote an atmosphere in which peace and justice, rather than violence and aggression, can prevail. We all need to see the humanity in one another; this region does not need any more grieving mothers.”

UN special envoy denounces killing of Arab teen

Robert Serry, UN special envoy to the Middle East, “strongly condemns” the death of 16-year-old Muhammad Hussein Abu Khdeir.

“I recall the Secretary-General’s message: there can be no justification for the deliberate killing of civilians – any civilians. The perpetrators of such heinous acts must be brought to justice. I repeat my call on all sides to do everything they can not to further exacerbate an already tense atmosphere. Our thoughts are with the bereaved family,” he writes in a statement.

Kidnappers heard whooping, singing in full emergency call recording

The full recording of the call made by one of the kidnapped youths to the emergency police hotline is released, less than a day after police lifted the gag order on a 49-second clip from it.

In the full recording, the kidnappers can be heard singing in Arabic and whooping after what are presumably shots ring out in the car.

In the 49-second recording released by police yesterday, one of the teens, identified by Bat-Galim and Ofir Shaar as their son Gilad, can be heard whispering “They’ve kidnapped me” to the operator before the kidnappers shout at him in Arabic-accented Hebrew, “Keep your heads down.”

The operator tries to interact with the caller, said to have been Gil-ad Shaar, but receives no answer. Seconds later, several loud noises, which might be gunshots, are heard. Someone in the car is heard groaning.

The shorter recording ends with the sound of a Hebrew radio interview blaring in the car.

In the full recording, which is over two minutes long, the sound of the radio is interrupted by a voice on the phone — a different operator, this time a policewoman, who asks the caller where he is.

However, this operator, too, receives no answer. Instead, more loud noises — presumably gunshots — are heard.

When the noises die down, one of the kidnappers shouts “Three!” in Arabic. He and his accomplice can then be heard singing happily in Arabic and whooping, before the recording ends.

Rocks, firebombs, pipe bomb flung at police

Rioters hurl stones, Molotov cocktails, and a pipe bomb — which did not explode — at security forces in Beit Hanina as protests against the death of the Arab teen continue, the Ynet news website reports.

Police respond with riot dispersal methods. The area has been sealed off, and police ask residents to steer clear.

If Co-Existence is Impossible, Then What?

“If a man comes to kill you, rise up and kill him first.”
Good advice, but how do we follow it when a whole culture has been created out of the idea that they should kill us?

We found out that the three boys, Eyal, Gilad and Naftali, were murdered shortly after their abduction. I’m sure we’ll hear the full story, in horrifying detail, at some point.

I can’t imagine how the families must feel. Or rather, I can imagine it but I am certain that their actual experience must be far worse than what I can imagine.

There have been so many terrorist murders, so many murders of children. The Ma’alot massacre, The bus of blood, the Haran family, the Sbarro bombing, the Dolphinarium, the Fogel family. The Palestinians and their supporters tell you it is “resistance to occupation” but in fact it is pure evil, hate made substance. Hate made flesh.

The Left says that it is our fault that they are doing these things because we are not giving them what they want. But what if what they want is to kill us?

Societies protect themselves against murderous criminals by killing or imprisoning them in order to separate them from normal society.

“If a man comes to kill you, rise up and kill him first.” Good advice, but how do we follow it when a whole culture has been created out of the idea that they should kill us?

The Palestinian people have demonstrated by the whole-hearted support shown for the kidnappers, the murderers, that they are satisfied with the path they have taken, the path of hate.

The problem is not a few extremists or criminals or terrorists who need to be killed or captured. The problem is a culture whose essence is to negate ours. These acts will not stop until the culture changes or dies out, or we completely separate ourselves from it. I don’t think our society can tolerate living as a target of terrorism forever.

First we have to decide that yes, we want our society, the Jewish people, to survive, and to continue to do so in its historic homeland. It’s not such a forgone conclusion — many, especially the intellectual elite among us are not so sure. But let’s suppose that we do. Since the nature of the Palestinian Arab culture is not under our control, since we can’t educate them or change them, our survival depends on separation and deterrence.

Then we need to look at geography and military realities. What territories do we need to control as a necessary condition for our survival? Authorities agree that the Jordan Valley and the high ground of Judea and Samaria must remain under our control. This isn’t a political issue, and we don’t need to bring in the spiritual dimension to decide this. It is simply a fact that follows from the topography of the region.

But some of the area that is essential is heavily populated by Arabs, many of whom belong to terror organizations and most of whom wouldn’t accept Jewish sovereignty.

Caroline Glick is probably correct that annexation of all of Judea and Samaria wouldn’t create an Arab majority. She estimates that the Arab population of Israel would go from about 20% to about 30%. She believes that the same relationship that has been established with the Israeli Arabs could be extended to the Arabs of the territories.

The lesson I have drawn from these murders is that she is not correct. It won’t work. This marriage cannot be saved. The educational enterprise of Yasser Arafat and his followers, aided by the West, has succeeded — perhaps beyond expectations. There is no going back. The Palestinian Arabs will not, cannot, coexist with the Jewish people.

The Left wants to trade territories for peace. That isn’t possible. The Right (at least, the moderate Right represented by Ms Glick) wants to keep the territories and coexist with the Arabs. That isn’t possible either.

The logic is inexorable, unfortunately. We commit suicide as a society or we keep the territories — without the Arabs. The Arabs of Judea and Samaria must be encouraged to emigrate. Maybe it can be peaceful and even profitable for them, maybe not. That will depend on them and on the “international community.”

I expect to hear that I’m crazy, a racist, an extremist, a Kahane-ist, and worse. But I don’t hate Arabs. The problem is that the Palestinian culture hates me, and worse, hates my children and grandchildren. I can’t change this, but I need to protect those children and grandchildren.

So if I am crazy, here is a suggestion: explain to me how you would deal with the situation. Do you want the Jewish people to survive? If so, do you agree that we can’t give up control of the territories? If so, do you think we can coexist with the Arabs? Can Israel become a 30% Arab state when most of those Arabs hate our Jewish guts?

If you want to refute my argument, show me where I’m wrong. Nothing would make me happier.

ISIS-terreur geworteld in islamitische cultuur

Leon de Winter op 30 juni, 2014 – 10:14

via ISIS-terreur geworteld in islamitische cultuur | www.dagelijksestandaard.nl.

Bing translation from Dutch
Why fight thousands of young European Muslim men for the Foundation of a Caliphate, or a religious tyranny? For the ideologues that the problems of those young men want to see in socio-economic terms, is that a great puzzle.
In their progressive worldview are the problems of migrants and their children provided by the social context within which these groups must survive. But time and time again goes to show that the culture either: to the agricultural and religious traditions that those migrants have taken away from the country of departure.
Why not all children of migrants from Islamic countries take part in the progress of Netherlands? Why hooks so many Moroccan and Turkish young men off and they end up in crime? What goes wrong with these children at a young age making them, like their parents, not the move on from the poverty and ignorance of life from before the migration to the new life in Europe with knowledge, understanding, prosperity?
Enmity
In many immigrant families, children with distaste and hatred towards their new environment brought up. They get from their parents and by the Arab media to hear that they are entitled to much more than what they possess. That children grow up with frustration and enmity.
On the internet is swarming with young Moroccan Dutch people who applaud ISIS, the terror movement to gruesome mass murders makes guilty. Young Moroccans who identify themselves with the fury of the ISISfighters.
They too are furious – why? They get too little training, too little cell phones? Or the following plays: their status as Muslim, says their culture, is elevated above that of non-Muslim Dutchman, and yet their subordinate social position and relatively frugal?
On the micro level we see here what happens on a macro level between Arab countries and Israel. The small country is in every way better developed than any Arabic country. More prosperity, more freedom, more science. And that is unacceptable for Arabs. According to their tradition is the Jew an inferior human being who has rejected the message of Mohammed the perfect man and therefore subject to the Muslim.
And precisely this despicable people has managed to each Arab country. The successful existence of Israel makes the message of islam that is the final message of Allah ridiculous. And because this message can be not ridiculous, says Israel must be destroyed, the believer, at all costs. It Was Golda Meir who once said: the Arabs hate us more than they love their own children?
Mechanisms
I have the impression that migrants have taken this kind of mental mechanisms to Netherlands. Fortunately, there are many who let not stifle personal opportunities by rigid beliefs, but when believers encounter the alleged superiority of the faith and the archaic gender roles and parenting methods constantly on the wicked and yet rich and powerful environment.
So these believers continually demands more space on for their god. Their minarets are visible and their wives should be apparent. And for their sons around the non-believer is part of the Dar al-Harb, the world of war, where they sanctioned by their culture to your heart’s content because Rob and steal, as may those gay assassins of ISIS.
The problems of their religious culture, which the Arab (and other Muslim) peoples in backwardness and ignorance keep hostage, are no longer limited to the areas where islam traditionally the predominant culture is. Migration has brought to Europe these problems. And it is worrying that migrants the crippling forces of the culture of the country of origin is not neutralize with the unprecedented opportunities that exist in Europe.
France, land of liberty, equality, fraternity, has immense problems with Islamic criminal and radicalized young men. It’s not about access to food, education, clothing, no, it comes to intangibles that define self-esteem of many angry young Muslims. They want a form of respect, and a related pattern of consumption, that society their not slavishly on the basis of their superior origin offers.
Their embittered aggrieved parents, their spiritual leaders, their hate spewing sends the same message: television channels, all the power in the world are not and its not like our holy book promises us, and so we must fights such as the infidels and Mohammed fought with the sword topics.
May it be said: the germ to radicalisation is in the general cultural values of these migrants? The Koran is built on three contrasts; male-female, believerinfidel, master-slave. In the West, these three getechnologiseerde and individualized contrasts as good as raised.
Infallible
The West is, just like Israel, a negation of what islam follower promises: reign of the true believer on Earth and eternal life in heaven. The negation is not other than temporary, thus the believer, because islam is infallible.
The young men who are now in the Middle East are experiencing the adventures of their lives and robbing and raping and beheading, legitimised may one day come back. They are not radicalized because they were pathetic or too little, no, they are radicalized opportunities because their cultural traditions have made impossible integration and offer young men the concept of the Holy struggle, an idea that many young men to fine brings excitement.
Israel and Jordan are in the same period. They have about the same population. No raw materials. They belong to the same historical world. Why one country came to fruition and it became an open democracy, and why was the other hardly a dictatorship that contributes to the progress of humanity?
Possessed
A famous rabbi was once asked to the Torah in one phrase to sum up. He replied: what you don’t want others do you shall rest; This is the whole Torah now go home and study. This is the reason why Israel prospers, and not Jordan. This is the reason why the West knows prosperity and freedom, and the Arab world. It is tragic and dangerous that the ideology of ISIS, and of the possessed young men of colluding, that exactly the opposite values. It’s the culture, stupid.

Semi-satire: King Obama and Sheikh Kerry welcome Ramadan

June 29, 2014

King Obama and Islam are similar religious movements and both are changing our lives greatly. Both demand that we respect the diversity they have graciously given us. Thank you, Islam and Your Highness.

Diversity in The Peoples Democratic
Islamic Republic of Iran

During King Obama’s Cairo speech in 2009 He said:

I have come here to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world; one based upon mutual interest and mutual respect; and one based upon the truth that America and Islam are not exclusive, and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles – principles of justice and progress; tolerance and the dignity of all human beings. [Emphasis added.]

Do Obama’s America and The Religion of Peace share common Sharia principles of justice, progress, tolerance and human dignity? Islam hasn’t changed much recently. How about Obama’s America?

I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear. [Emphasis added.]

At least some people in Texas are not pleased with Islamic demands that they change their lifestyles or leave. Are they indulging in negative stereotypes or negative realities? Tip of the hat to Dancing Czars.

Here He goes again:

Obama KingOn June 27th, King Obama and His loyal Sheikh

Ketchup KerryKerry helped Islamists around the world to celebrate the holy fast of Ramadan, which began on June 28th and will extend through July 28th. According to The Economic Times, King Obama said,

Here in the US, we are grateful to the many Muslim American organizations, individuals, and businesses that are devoted to creating opportunity for all by working to reduce income inequality and poverty, not only through their charitable efforts, but also through their initiatives to empower students, workers and families with the education, skills and health care they deserve.

Although He seems to have neglected their inspirational efforts in beheading climate change monsters and others, it was only a minor omission. Dignity, justice, progress and  tolerance? Even He could not have had much favorable to say about that. Or could He? Didn’t He do that in His Cairo speech?

In addition to enviable Islamic charities, Sheikh Kerry also alluded to the much needed diversity and spirit of community “that binds us together” which Islam brings to Obama’s America:

Here in America, Muslims will commemorate Ramadan in ways that reflect the great diversity of our country and the spirit of community that binds us together,” he said.

“The diversity and patriotism of America’s religious communities are sources of strength for all of us, and our freedom to worship is a powerful reminder of the traditions we share.

Eternal blessings be upon them both, Insha’Allah.

In keeping with the views of the Commander in Chief, Stars and Stripes reported that U.S. personnel at the military base in Bahrain are being taught to show proper respect for the Religion of Peace.

Navy officials are requiring U.S. personnel to dress more conservatively off-base during Ramadan. Although not a requirement by Bahraini authorities, the Navy is demanding that men wear long-sleeved shirts and women wear sleeved blouses that cover their elbows. Also, men must wear long trousers, and women should wear pants or skirts that cover the knees. [Emphasis added.]

Base cultural advisers have spent the last few weeks conducting Ramadan briefs to educate Americans about the holy month. Ali Hassan briefed about 150 personnel Tuesday about Islam, the lunar calendar and customs and traditions during Ramadan. [Emphasis added.]

“It actually made me want to do a lot more research into the religion,” said Petty Officer 1st Class James Ramirez. He said the additional requirements during the month aren’t a big deal to him. “For such a small period of time, it’s a small sacrifice,” he said.

Other service members echoed that sentiment.

Hassan encouraged personnel to experience Iftar in a Ramadan tent, many of which are set up at various locations around Bahrain during the holy month and welcome non-Muslims. [Emphasis added.]

“Make it a point to visit these tents while you’re here. You don’t know if you’ll ever come back to Bahrain in the future,” Hassan said during the brief.

Unlike Islamic indoctrination, handing out Bibles and Christian proselytizing seem to be considered improper. In addition, “All consumption of alcohol by U.S. military personnel is prohibited at any off base public venue in the U.S. Navy 5th Fleet Area of Responsibility during Ramadan.” On base, perhaps some will hoist a few in honor of their King. Or something.

Will Bahrain, with a “dismal” human rights record past and present, give up torture for Ramadan? Or will U.S. personnel stationed there be told how to respect that along with other glories of the “religion of peace?” Will lessons be given in Islamic torture, beheading and crucifixion protocols?

There has been no word whether videos such as this will be offered in the interest of blessed diversity:

King Obama will continue to demonstrate comparable respect for other religions, Insha’Allah.

King Obama will doubtless issue greetings to Christians at the beginning of Lent and His generals will likely require all military personnel stationed in Christian countries to show proper respect for Christian fasting. Since the only remaining Christian country is Vatican City, where no U.S. military personnel are stationed, such requirements will not be unduly onerous. Although there might have been similar directives to respect Jewish fast days, the recent freezing chilling of diplomatic ties with the World’s only Jewish state, Israel, as well as the few if any U.S. military personnel stationed there, may also have kept them from being unduly onerous. Should any U.S. military personnel be stationed in Haiti, they will doubtless be required to respect any Voodoo fast days as well as days for biting off the heads of live chickens in accordance with the dictates of that great religion, which has also brought much needed diversity to King Obama’s America.
