Awad was present at the 1993 secret meeting of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood Palestine Committee in Philadelphia that was wiretapped by the FBI. Participants of the meeting discussed how to support Hamas and, in the words of U.S. District Court Judge Solis the “goals, strategies and American perceptions of the Muslim Brotherhood.” (Photo: © Reuters)

In a vastly ironic twist of organizational transparency, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, will be presenting a public release of all the funding to U.S. organizations they deem to be “Islamophobic.”

The list will serve to harass supporters of legitimate U.S. entities following a long tradition of substantial bullying tactics by CAIR against U.S. citizens.

Ironically, CAIR, itself, refuses to divulge any of their funding sources even when mandated by US Courts.

Case in point: In a seeming act of lawfare, two of CAIR’s numerous registered entities, CAIR Action Network (CAIR-AN) and CAIR Foundation (CAIR-F), sued a father and son for several counts of tort claims.[1] As part of the case, CAIR was legally obligated to present certain facts during the discovery phase of the case (a pretrial practice where both parties of the case are required to provide the other side with relevant information to prove their claims are valid and that some damage has, in fact, been done).[2]

When the defendants exercised their legal right to compel CAIR to disclose their financial records, CAIR was so desperate to keep their records hidden from the American public that they voluntarily dismissed the case and dropped the lawsuit regarding those charges.

In the end, a prominent District of Columbia superior court judge ruled that CAIR could not bring further charges against these defendants because they showed they were repeatedly unwilling to divulge their own records to a court of law.[3]

This is not the only time CAIR’s questionable practices have been highlighted in the U.S. court system.  In 2010, five of CAIR’s former clients sued CAIR on the basis of fraud, intentional infliction of emotional distress and federal RICO charges.  Those clients also prevailed against CAIR.

CAIR’s lack of transparency and refusal to divulge their financial information is highly troubling. Numerous fact-based sources have investigated the foreign financial ties of CAIR.

CAIR’s announcement comes at a time where America is mourning the loss of 49 innocent people that were gunned down by someone to pledged allegiance to the genocidal Islamic State (ISIS).

Barely one week has passed and CAIR is again standing at the forefront to shame American organizations and citizens on the bases of more fraudulent claims of supposed “Islamophobia” without any substantial basis in fact or law in the backyard of the U.S. Capitol building.

Their attempts to shame law-abiding U.S. citizens in the wake of the Orlando attacks is another reminder that CAIR is not a friend of American Muslims or the democratic ideals of the United States of America. CAIR does not speak for peace-abiding Muslim reformists, and most distressingly, CAIR is slowly attempting to strip away First Amendment rights by publicly inciting harassment and shame against peaceful organizations that seek to educate the American public on the dangers of groups like CAIR.

What’s worse, CAIR is attempting to shame and incite harassment against U.S. citizens that simply want to support organizations that work to expose extremism within U.S. borders.

A former DHS official and whistleblower noted how CAIR should have been shut down long ago following federal evidence of their ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood as well as their funding channels through various money laundering schemes as reported by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (who subsequently removed CAIR from their accepted list of informants within the U.S.).

If the United Arab Emirates (UAE) saw through CAIR’s deceptive strategies to list them as a “terrorist organization,” shouldn’t the United States wake up and do the same – or at the very least, stop allowing them from attaining a front row to our nation’s political forums?

Instead, this is the organization that will be publicly harassing donors and supporters of alleged “Islamophobic” organizations on Monday, June 20 at 11:00 am.

A society such as America which is built on freedom of speech is one in which educational organizations have a right to freely speak truth and fact in regards to whatever information they choose to educate the public.

Let not one more life be taken because Americans’ voices have been silenced by CAIR in the name of the pseudo term and made-up phenomenon of “Islamophobia.”

Defenders of Wildlife, 504 U.S. 555, 560-61 (1992).  Before trial, there are a number of “pre-trial” procedures to undergo so that both sides of the case can present the best possible case. Therefore, CAIR had to present their financial records in discovery to prove these elements in their allegations against the defendants.

Gaubatz, 2015 U.S. District LEXIS 168443 (unpublished decision).  Therefore, as shown above, CAIR needed to divulge their financial information to  prove their allegations against the defendants. When they refused to do this, the judge did not allow them to bring any more charges against these defendants because of their unwillingness to adhere to their legal obligations in the prior cases.

Arabs demand UN stop Israel’s anti-terror wall

Gaza Arabs demand UN stop Israel’s anti-terror tunnel wall Gaza leaders blast Israeli plan to build underground wall around the Strip to block terror tunnels, cite ‘environmental concerns’.

Construction of an underground security wall along Israel’s border with Gaza has prompted an outcry in the Strip, with calls for intervention by international human rights organizations and the United Nations to block the Israeli plan.

The wall, which will run tens of yards into the ground and is intended to block Hamas terror tunnels, will be built entirely on Israel’s side of the border.

That hasn’t stopped Palestinians from crying foul, however, with claims that the wall would cause environmental damage.

In an interview published on Sunday by the Falastin newspaper, a Hamas mouthpiece, Gaza environmentalists warned that the security wall would block groundwater from Israel moving into the Gaza Strip. This, they claim, would prevent the replenishment of underground aquifers and force Gazans to draw more heavily from alternative sources.

The experts cited in the interview also suggested that the wall could cause cave-ins along the border, and would block the movement of animals across the Gaza-Israel border.

Senior Hamas commander ‘defects to Israel’

Senior Hamas commander ‘defects to Israel’ Reports from Gaza suggest senior Hamas military commander may have handed himself in to Israel – along with a wealth of intelligence.

A senior commander in Hamas’s elite commando unit has handed himself over to Israel, according to sources inside Gaza cited by Channel 2.

Reports of his surrender to Israel have been circulating in Gaza ever since the commander – a member the elite “Nahba” unit of Hamas’s military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades – went missing several days ago.

The Nahba spearheads Hamas’s tunnel warfare capabilities, and is specifically tasked with capturing IDF soldiers.

The missing commander is reportedly from Khan Younis in southern Gaza, and the son of a prominent judge on Hamas’s Sharia religious court.

According to Channel 2, a number of different “versions” of his disappearance are making the rounds in Gaza.

Hamas, for its part, maintains he was captured by Israeli security forces, who have nabbed a number of (generally more junior) Hamas operatives involved in tunnel digging over the past several months.

But other sources say he told his family he was going for a hike and would return by evening – only to cross over the border into Israel.

Either way, capturing such a senior Hamas commander would represent a major intelligence coup for Israeli security services.

If confirmed, the unnamed commander would be the second senior Al Qassam Brigades terrorist captured by Israel in recent months, after Mohammed Atounah was captured as he allegedly crossed the border into Israel to carry out a terrorist attack.

Atounah’s capture provided Israel with a wealth of information about Hamas’s tunnel network, preparations for future battle with Israel and overall military capabilities.

His capture, together with that of several other Qassam Brigades commanders and other Israeli intelligence measures, have enabled the IDF to locate and destroy two terror tunnels into Israel in May.

Backstage at Turkey’s Shotgun Wedding with Israel

June 14, 2016

Backstage at Turkey’s Shotgun Wedding with Israel, Gatestone Institute, by Burak Bekdil, June 14, 2016

♦ There are two major problems that will probably block a genuine normalization of relations between Turkey and Israel. One is Hamas, and the other is the seemingly irreversible anti-Semitism that most Turks devour.

♦ Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has claimed more than once that Hamas is not a terrorist group but a legitimate political party.

♦ Erdogan came up with the idea that Zionism should be declared a “crime against humanity.”

There is every indication that Turkey and Israel are not far away from normalizing their troubled diplomatic relations. According to Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, for instance, the former allies are “one or two meetings” away from normalization.

If, however, Ankara and Jerusalem finally shake hands after six years of cold war, it will be because Turkey feels increasingly isolated internationally, not because it feels any genuine friendship for the Jewish nation.

In all probability, the “peace” between Turkey and Israel will look like the definition of peace in Ambrose Bierce’s The Devil’s Dictionary: “In international affairs, a period of cheating between two periods of fighting” — despite the backdrop for peace looking incredibly (but mischievously) convenient. On May 29, a Jewish wedding ceremony was held in a historical synagogue in the northwestern province of Edirne for the first time in 41 years. A few months before that, in December, the Jewish year 5776 went down in history possibly as the first time in which a public Hanukkah candle-lighting ceremony was held in Muslim Turkey in a state-sponsored event. All that is nice — but can be misleading.

There are two major problems that will probably block a genuine normalization. One is Hamas, and the other is the seemingly irreversible anti-Semitism which most Turks devour.

In a powerful article from this month, Jonathan Schanzer forcefully reminded the world that although Saleh Arouri, a senior Hamas military leader, was expelled from his safe base in Istanbul, “… many other senior Hamas officials remain there. And their ejection from Turkey appears to be at the heart of Israel’s demands as rapprochement talks near completion.”

Schanzer says that there are ten Hamas figures currently believed to be enjoying refuge in Turkey, and he names half a dozen or so Hamas militants there, including Mahmoud Attoun, who was found guilty of the kidnapping and murder of a 29-year-old Israeli. Also enjoying safe haven in Turkey are three members of the Izzedine al-Qassam brigades. Schanzer adds that,

“There are a handful more that can be easily identified in the Arabic and Turkish press, and nearly all of them maintain profiles on Facebook and Twitter, where they regularly post updates on their lives in Turkey.”

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has claimed more than once that Hamas is not a terrorist group but a legitimate political party. He has held innumerable meetings with senior Hamas officials including Khaled Mashaal, head of its political bureau. In addition, Erdogan came up with the idea that Zionism should be declared a “crime against humanity.”

Anti-Semitism, as mentioned, is the other problem. Erdogan deliberately spread anti-Semitic sentiments to an already xenophobic society until he decided to go (relatively) silent when he recently realized that Turkey’s cold war with Israel was not sustainable. This does not mean that his or Turkish society’s views regarding Jews have changed.

Earlier this year, for instance, one of Erdogan’s chief advisors appeared in pro-government media to attack political rivals as “raising soldiers for the Jews.” This sentiment is not confined to government big guns.

The first Jewish wedding at Edirne synagogue after 41 years was, no doubt, a merry event, both for the Turkish Jewish couple and politically, but it failed to mask the ugly side of the coin. Unlike a normal Turkish wedding (or, say, a Jewish wedding in the U.S.), unusually tight security measures were taken in the neighborhood around the synagogue, including the closure of roads leading to the synagogue and security searches of the wedding guests. The guests had to go through a metal detector at the door of the synagogue. Road closures and a metal detector for a wedding?!

There was more. Turks happily expressed their feelings in social media to “celebrate” the Jewish wedding. “One of my biggest dreams is to kill a Jew,” wrote one Twitter user. “[Hitler] did not do it in vain,” wrote another. The Hitler series went on with “He was a great man,” “Where are you Hitler?” and “We are all Hitler.”

This is the backstage scene in the country where a Jewish couple happily married at a synagogue for the first time in 41 years — the same country supposedly to “normalize” its ties with Israel.

Hamas vows more violence amid West Bank crackdown after Tel Aviv attack Terror group says wave of arrests following Sarona shooting spree will not deter Palestinians ‘determined to fight occupation’

Palestinian terror group Hamas condemned on Saturday the demolition of the home of a Palestinian teen convicted of murdering an Israeli mother of six in the West Bank settlement of Otniel in January.

The terror group also condemned the wave of arrests of Hamas members and others in the West Bank, following the deadly terror attack in Tel Aviv on Wednesday in which four people were killed by two Palestinian cousins who opened fire on customers at a Sarona Market cafe.

Hamas said Israel’s crackdown would not deter Palestinians “determined to fight the occupation,” according to Israel Radio.

Israel sealed off the West Bank and the Gaza Strip on Thursday, as part of a series of initial responses to the attack. The measure also came ahead of the Jewish festival of Shavuot which begins Saturday evening.

Hamas praised the Tel Aviv attack and said the two gunmen, Khalid and Muhammad Muhamra were members of the group. It dubbed the attack the “Ramadan operation” as it came two days after the Muslim holy month of Ramadan began on Monday.

Earlier Saturday, IDF forces, in cooperation with Border Police and Civil Administration officials, tore down the house belonging to the family of 16-year-old Morad Bader Abdullah Adais, who stabbed and killed Dafna Meir at the entrance to her home earlier this year.

The house was located in the village of Yatta near Hebron, which is also home to the two terrorists who perpetrated the Tel Aviv attack earlier this week.

Adais has confessed to killing the 38-year-old Meir at her home. The investigation indicated Adais waited for Meir to come out of her front door and then attacked her, “plunging the knife into her stomach.”

Tried to retrieve the weapon in order to attack Meir’s children, who were inside, but Meir wrestled with the attacker and prevented him from doing so, forcing him to flee the scene.

Meir was critically wounded and later died of her injuries.

Meir, who had been adopted as a teenager, worked as a nurse in the neurosurgery department of Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba. She was also a premarital counselor for brides.

Prior to carrying out the deadly attack, Adais watched “Palestinian television broadcasts which portrayed Israel as ‘killing young Palestinians,’” a statement from the Shin Bet security agency said after he was captured.

Today (Friday), Hamas tested 32 rockets by launching them into the sea. These tests further prove that the terrorist organization is still attempting to improve its rocket capabilities, despite the fact that Egypt has increased its efforts to thwart attempts to smuggle weapons from the country into Gaza.

Due to Egypt’s measures, Hamas has been forced to establish a local military industry by using dual-use materials and chemicals that can still be smuggled into Gaza. Just last month, it was reported that the Crossings Authority and Shin Bet foiled an attempt to smuggle supplies and weapons for creating rockets and building tunnels into Gaza. The shipment that was seized at the Tarkumiya Crossing near Hebron was intended for terrorist organizations in Gaza, according to suspicions.

The last time a rocket was fired from Gaza into Israel was in May, when a rocket fell in an open field in Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council. No injuries or damages were caused by this rocket.

US urges Israel to avoid ‘escalating tensions’ after attack After Jerusalem announces slew of measures, State Department says it should also consider ‘the impact on Palestinian civilians’

The US State Department called on Israel on Thursday to take into account “the impact on Palestinian civilians” in its response to Wednesday’s terror attack at Tel Aviv’s Sarona Market, in which four people were killed and 16 injured, three of them seriously.

Spokesman Mark Toner was responding to questions about a slew of measures announced by the Israeli security cabinet in the wake of the attack.

The measures agreed upon at the cabinet meeting included revoking work permits from family members of the terrorists and canceling all permits for West Bank and Gaza Palestinians to visit Israel during the month of Ramadan. Meanwhile, Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman announced that Israel would stop returning the bodies of Palestinian attackers to their families for burial.

Toner called on Israel to respond to the shooting “would be designed to not escalate tensions any further, but we certainly respect their desire to express outrage and to protect the safety of their people.”

Pressed about the decision to withhold the bodies of attackers, he said that Israel “obviously should weigh” whether the steps it takes will exacerbate the conflict. Still, he said, “we understand” why Israel would adopt measures such as revoking entry permits and beefing up its presence in Palestinian areas.

“We understand the Israeli government’s desire to protect its citizens after this kind of terrorist attack and we strongly support that right, but we would hope that any measures it takes would also take into consideration the impact on Palestinian civilians who are just trying to go about their daily lives,” he said.

Earlier in his briefing, Toner said he condemned the terrorist attack “in the strongest possible terms,” adding, “These kinds of attacks can never be justified.”

International condemnations poured in in the hours following the attack.

The European Union said in a statement that “Wednesday night’s terror attack in the Sarona complex in Tel Aviv exposed scores of innocent civilians and families to indiscriminate fire. Four people were killed and more seriously injured. Our thoughts are with the families of the dead and injured.”

“Those responsible for these murders must be brought to justice,” the EU continued. “Those who praise this attack must be condemned.”

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said in a statement denouncing the shooting that “there is no justification for terrorism nor for the glorification of those who commit such heinous acts.”

“The Secretary-General is shocked that the leaders of Hamas have chosen to welcome this attack and some have chosen to celebrate it,” Ban’s office said in a statement. “He calls upon the Palestinian leadership to live up to their responsibility to stand firmly against violence and the incitement that fuels it.”

Hamas incitement continues: There will be more terror attacks A day after the deadly terror attack in Tel Aviv, the Hamas terror organization published a propaganda video calling on their people to shoot Jews in order to achieve liberation.

After the difficult terror attack last night in Tel Aviv, where 4 Israelis were murdered by 2 Palestinian terrorists, the Palestinian incitement continues.

The Hamas terror organization published a video clip today in Gaza calling upon their members to implement terror attacks against Jews: “When an owner has the right to open up an intifada, the fire bursts from his land. His rifle bullets sing barrages of fire and all of the firing are steps on the way to liberation.”

‘Uneaten birthday cakes next to pools of blood’

June 9, 2016

‘Uneaten birthday cakes next to pools of blood’, Israel Hayom, Ruthie Blum, June 9, 2016

The rest of us in Israel, meanwhile, will be treated by the international community to reprimands about the need for peace, just as we are already being bombarded on local talk shows with the urgency for “an agreement with the Palestinians.” Like the terrorist attacks themselves, these pronouncements are repeated virtually without let-up.

***********************

An Israeli parliamentarian who arrived on the scene of Wednesday night’s Palestinian terrorist attack in Tel Aviv summed up in a phrase what terrorism is all about.

“Uneaten birthday cakes next to pools of blood,” is how Likud MK Amir Ohana described what he encountered in the immediate aftermath of the shooting spree at the Max Brenner chocolate shop and cafe in the Sarona shopping complex.

No matter how precisely witnesses describe the attacks Israelis experience on a regular basis — the fear, the screams, and the killings — it is rare for words to capture carnage so well.

Yes, “uneaten birthday cakes next to pools of blood” tells us everything we need to know about the setting and its significance in the twisted, brainwashed minds of young people in the Palestinian Authority. It is precisely what the two young men, relatives from the village of Yatta near Hebron who brought makeshift assault rifles with them to an eatery on a summer’s eve, had envisioned. It was exactly their goal to slaughter Jews, some of them in casual dress and flip-flops, enjoying a respite from the oppressive heat of the day, others dressed to the nines, celebrating personal milestones.

Indeed, “uneaten birthday cakes next to pools of blood” says it all. It is a reminder of the funerals that will soon take place and the devastation entire families will feel for the rest of their lives; the months of physical rehabilitation and trauma awaiting those who were injured; and the tears of mothers, fathers, sons and daughters praying at bedsides.

“You never get used to it,” said a surgeon from the Sourasky Medical Center, where the wounded — among them one of the two terrorists — are being treated.

The difference this time is the addition of the discussion about how Avigdor Lieberman, Israel’s new defense minister, who assumed his role only last week, is going to meet the challenge, particularly as a proponent of the death penalty for terrorists, which the Jewish state does not have. Natch.

This is something the Arabs in Judea and Samaria, east Jerusalem and Gaza are keenly aware of, along with the knowledge that if they engage in particularly gruesome violence, they will be hailed as heroes by their society and leaders. Those who are killed while murdering Jews can look forward not only to paradise in the afterlife, but being martyrs after whom sports arenas, cultural events and streets are named.

Thankfully, Lieberman — whose alleged first order of business over the weekend was to strike terrorist bases in Syria — did not talk politics. Instead, he gave a brief press conference at the scene of the attack with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Netanyahu had just landed in Tel Aviv from a two-and-a-half-day trip to Russia, ostensibly to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of full diplomatic relations with Moscow, but really to cement growing ties with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This is the sad but necessary upshot of the Obama administration’s attitude toward Israel in particular and the Middle East in general.

Netanyahu understands that he has to have an alternative ally on whom to rely when it comes to safeguarding Israel from the dangers posed by the civil war in Syria, chief among them Iran’s presence and Palestinian proxy Hezbollah. Oh, and there’s the Islamic State group, too, which is also increasing its foothold in the Sinai, along Israel’s southern border, adjacent to Gaza. You know, where Hamas continues to build tunnels through which to smuggle weapons and kidnap and kill Israelis.

For his part, Putin is only too happy to oblige and replace the United States as the world’s superpower, a status his country lost when the Soviet Union fell 26 years ago. And the Palestinian “problem” was no more connected to that past event than it is to today’s global reality. It is simply a convenient excuse employed to hold Israel accountable and responsible for all ills. It is the politically correct contemporary anti-Semitic outlook, according to which Jews control the world.

What a hoot. We can’t even eat our birthday cakes at a chocolate shop without pools of our blood being spilled.
