Iran’s commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Quds Force Maj.-Gen. Qassem Soleimani warned US President Donald Trump against threatening Iran, promising that were the US to begin a war Iran would finish it.
“Gambler Trump! I alone will stand against you. We, the Iranian nation, have gone through tough events. You [may] begin a war, but it is us who will end it. Go ask your predecessors [about it]. So stop threatening [us]… We are ready to stand against you,” Soleimani was quoted as saying by Iran’s Tasnim News Agency in the central city of Hamedan.
“We are near you, where you can’t even imagine… Come. We are ready,” he said.
Earlier in the week, Trump threatened Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Twitter, warning in text written in all caps locks of unprecedented “consequences” if Tehran would threaten Washington:
“NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!”

On Thursday
, Soleimani addressed Trump’s tweet, which came after Rouhani threatened that “war with Iran is the mother of all wars.”
“As a soldier, it is my duty to respond to Trump’s threats. If he wants to use the language of threat, he should talk to me, not to the president [Rouhani],” Soleimani said.
Soleimani, one of the most prominent and influential military figures in Iran also mentioned the war in Afghanistan and the 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah:
“What the hell could you do during the 33-day war with the evil Israeli regime, which is like a weight hanging around your ankles? You experienced all sorts of defeats and setbacks and you are telling us what errors you can commit in Gaza? Is it not that you accepted Hezbollah’s conditions for ending the war?
“What have you been able to do [to us] over the past 20 years that you did not do? And [you] are threatening us now?” he asked.
Soleimani’s words come as tensions have risen between both the United States and Iran as well as between Israel and the Islamic Republic.
Israeli officials have repeatedly voiced concerns over the growing Iranian presence on its borders and the smuggling of sophisticated weaponry to Hezbollah from Tehran to Lebanon via Syria, stressing that both are redlines for the Jewish State.
Israel has admitted to having carried out one hundred strikes in Syria against Iranian and Hezbollah targets and is suspected of carrying out hundreds of others.

On Wednesday
, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force Brig.-Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh stated that the IRGC’s fighter jets will be equipped with cruise missiles with a range of 1,500 kilometers.
Hajizadeh made the announcement on the sidelines of a ceremony in Tehran where 10 Sukhoi Su-22 fighter jets had been upgraded with new systems that would allow them to carry and fire smart and cluster bombs as well as air-to-ground and air-to-air missiles with pinpoint accuracy, Tasnim said.

US President Donald Trump will lose everything he has if he dares to wage war against Iran, the commander of the nation’s elite Quds Force warned. He also cautioned that the Red Sea is no longer safe with a US presence.

The war with Iran “will destroy everything you own,” Major General Qassem Soleimani warned Trump on Thursday, local TV channel Al-Alam reported. His comment comes after US and Iranian leaders exchanged public threats, and Washington proposed to block Iranian oil shipment.

Speaking at a memorial event in the western Iranian city of Hamadan, Soleimani said that the Red Sea, an important shipping route, “is no longer safe” due to the American presence in the region.

The head of the Quds Force also cautioned Trump against further public outbursts against Tehran. “You must understand what you’re saying when insulting the Iranian people and our president,” he said.

US-Iranian relations deteriorated dramatically since Trump pulled out of the landmark Iran nuclear accord, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), in May. He labeled the deal “defective at its core” and cited mistrust against Tehran.

Despite the US claims, the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed in a series of consecutive reports that Tehran had been fulfilling the terms of the agreement.

Washington reversed its policy of gradually lifting the existing sanctions imposed on Iran. At the same time, the US Treasury Department introduced a new set of restrictions targeting Iranian officials.

Trump’s decision to ditch JCPOA was heavily criticized by China, Russia and the EU who are also signatories to the deal. Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that the unilateral withdrawal from the agreement by the US shows that Washington “can’t be trusted” to stick to international commitments.

At 1:42 PM on Tuesday, the rocket alert went off along Israel’s northern border with Syria. Two Patriot missiles were fired at the target which had been tracked crossing into Israel.

The IDF released a statement that a Syrian Sukhoi warplane crossed over into Israel, flying two kilometers within Israeli territory. The plane took off from the T4 airbase. The IDF believes it was an SU-22 or SU-24. Syrian sources say it was an SU-22.

The Patriot missiles targeted the warplane and took the plane down. The plane crashed in Syrian territory.

The IDF added a statement, “The IDF is on high alert and very prepared, and will continue acting against violations of the 1974 Separation of Forces agreement.”

News outlets connected to the Syrian rebels report that a Syrian warplane went down in the Yarmouk basin in southern Syria. Local Syrians report that the pilot, a colonel, ejected in ISIS-held territory.

Syria confirms that Israel shot down a Sukhoi-22.

‘There’s no strategy against Hamas and Hezbollah’

Former Southern Command head and Golan Formation Commander Brig. Gen. (Res.) Zvika Fogel is concerned about Israel’s activity in the north and south.

“We lie to ourselves every morning and call Hamas and Hezbollah terror organizations. They have long ceased to be terror organizations, but two states – entities living within a given territory – controlling the population and sometimes even partners in government,” Fogel said.

He warns that failure to deal with the situation today can have an adverse effect on the future. “The only place where we have a strategy is our attitude toward Iran. There we act as a sovereign state.

“We don’t act against Hamas and Hezbollah and we’ll pay a heavy price in the future, because in both places they’ll understand that we’re afraid to enter into a confrontation. If we don’t finish this story at this time, we may not be able to do it in the future.”

Israel has rejected a Russian proposal to create a 100 kilometer (62 mile) buffer zone that would distance Iranian forces from Syria’s border with Israel in the Golan Heights.

“We will not allow the Iranians to establish themselves even 100 kilometers from the border,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, according to an Israeli official who spoke on condition of anonymity.

The two men met Monday in Jerusalem at the request of Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, together with Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman, Russian military chief of general staff, Gen. Valery Gerasimov and the rest of the Russian delegation.

Also present at the meeting, which lasted two hours, were IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot, National Security Adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat and other senior officials.

Israel provided maps and intelligence assessments to back up its positions, according to the official.

Israel is remaining firm on a demand that Iran not be allowed any foothold whatsoever along its northern border, regardless of where in Syria that might be. Furthermore, Israel is demanding that all long-range missiles be removed from Syria, and all factories that produce such missiles and/or precision-guided projectiles, be closed down, according to the official who spoke with reporters.

“The link between us is extraordinarily important and it exists, as you have seen, in the direct meetings between myself and President Putin and between our staffs,” Netanyahu said at the start of the meeting.

“I appreciated the words that were spoken by President Putin together with President Trump regarding the security of Israel during the recent summit.”

Earlier in the day, during the weekly cabinet meeting, Netanyahu had said that Israel would “continue to act against any attempt by Iran and its proxies to establish a military presence in Syria.”

Israel’s air force will not cease its operations to protect Israeli citizens as long as Iranian forces possess the capability to fire long-range missiles at Israeli targets,” the senior official said. Location in Syria does not matter, because long-range weapons are positioned well outside the 100-kilometer zone.

“Iran wants to turn Syria into a second Lebanon,” he noted. “And we’re determined to prevent that,” rather than wait until Iran has hundreds and thousands of missiles in Syria.

The IDF struck a Gaza terror cell Monday afternoon for the second time in 24 hours as Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman warned Hamas that Israel was not afraid to go to war.

Last night Israel’s air-force also struck a Gaza terror cell which had launched flaming kites and balloons into southern Israel.

On Saturday, as part of an Egypt brokered understanding, Hamas agreed to halt its violent attacks against Israel, which has included rockets, mortars, flaming kites and balloons. There have also been repeated infiltration attempts and violent riots at the Gaza Israel border. On Friday, a Palestinian sniper killed an Israeli soldier who was defending the border fence.

There have been no attacks against Israel since Saturday. Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman has said he will rescind the severe restrictions he has imposed on Gaza’s main commercial crossing by Tuesday as long as Hamas continues to hold its fire.

Liberman met Monday with members of the IDF’s general staff to discuss the border violence.

“Regarding the Gaza Strip, we must ask ourselves four basic questions: Is the State of Israel interested in a war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip? The answer is no. Are we deterred from [engaging in a military] campaign in the Gaza Strip? Here too, the answer is no,” Liberman said.

“Are we prepared to accept a reality in which there is fire, incendiary kites and friction along the fence? The answer is no. Have we done everything we can to prevent a war in Gaza? The answer is yes,” Liberman said.

“So everything that happens from here on in with regard to the Gaza Strip is solely the responsibility of the Hamas leadership,” he said.

“We hit Hamas very hard over the weekend and – if it proves necessary – we will hit them seven-fold,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

Apparently, the authority of Ursula von der Leyen (CDU) discussed even offer foreign recruits in exchange for entry into force of a German passport. Now there are warnings of a “mercenary army”.

On request of the newspaper, a ministry spokeswoman said: “The armed forces will grow. For this, we need qualified personnel. Therefore, we consider all possible options carefully. ”

The CSU is taken with the idea. Florian Hahn, defense policy spokesman of the CSU group in the Bundestag, said the “Augsburger Allgemeine”: “Under the European free movement modern models could be developed here. However, for every soldier the special relationship of trust must be secured.

The SPD defense expert Karl-Heinz Brunner can imagine According to the newspaper, at least, take EU foreigners in the squad. He also warned: “If citizens of other countries be included, even the promise to get a German passport, the Bundeswehr threatens a kind of mercenary army to be.” For other foreigners, the order must be that they are German citizens first – then German soldier.

In fact stand out from the Leyen ideas contrary to the German soldiers Act, which would have to be broken or changed.
