Violent Incitement, Not Grievance, Drives Knife Wielding Palestinian Kids

Violent Incitement, Not Grievance, Drives Knife Wielding Palestinian Kids, Investigative Project on Terrorism, October 27, 2016

Israeli security intercepted a plot Wednesday involving two 8-year-old, knife wielding Palestinian children seeking to carry out a stabbing attack against Israelis.

The children “admitted to have been sent, armed with knives, in order to carry out a terror attack,” the Israel Defense Forces said.

The boys were seen near a security fence and detained outside of a Jewish community in the West Bank, south of Jerusalem.

Over the last year, Palestinian terrorists have killed over 34 Israelis and wounded dozens. Some of the terrorists conducting stabbing attacks were as young as 11.

Mainstream U.S. media outlets continue to push the argument that Israel’s military presence and Palestinian despair are the root causes of Palestinian attacks. Yet this line of reasoning cannot explain the terrorist motivations of 8-year-old boys. Hateful brainwashing and ideological radicalization is at the core of this phenomenon. Observers of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will find ample evidence that confirms systematic and societal-level brainwashing of young Palestinians, glorifying terrorists, and encouraging future generations to attack and kill Jews.

Over the years, Palestinian children have participated in terrorist promoting parades in the Gaza Strip and are taught to prepare for a holy war against the “Zionist enemy.”

“Children in this world do not dream about becoming doctors, pilots or engineers,” journalist Khaled Abu Toameh notes. “Rather, they dream of destroying Israel and ‘liberating Palestine.’ In fact, an entire generation of Palestinians, particularly those in the Gaza Strip, has been raised on the glorification of suicide bombers and anyone who kills a Jew.”

Last week, students at Ramallah’s Al-Quds University established a memorial for the school’s “heroic Martyrs” who participated in deadly attacks targeting Israelis.

“Beware of natural death; do not die, but amidst the hail of bullets,” reads text on the memorial stone and translated by Palestinian Media Watch. It remains Palestinian Authority (PA) policy to encourage young Palestinians to engage in terrorism, even if it means certain death. In July, the PA glorified Palestinian high school students killed while conducting terrorist attacks against Israelis, arguing that the youth took “the path to excellence and greatness” over completing studies and enhancing their lives.

Western governments, media outlets, and human rights organizations have yet to express outrage at the exploitation of young children to commit murder. Instead of focusing solely on Israel’s presence, international actors could help young Palestinians by exposing and pressuring the forces that contribute to their desperation – the Palestinian politicians and institutions that consistently fuel societal incitement and violent brainwashing.

A group of U.S. Senators from the Republican party urged President Barack Obama in a letter on Wednesday to suspend ties with the United Nations Education, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The senators are pressuring Obama to suspend American ties with the world body over the two resolutions it approved in the past 10 days, denying ancient historic Jewish ties with Jerusalem.

“At a time when the Middle East is in turmoil and historical heritage sites are being destroyed by groups such as ISIS, it is imperative that the U.S. stands with Israel, our closest ally and the sole democracy in the region.

“Recent UNESCO resolutions that deny Jewish and Christian ties to holy sites in Jerusalem not only reinforces the necessity of withholding American funding from this counterproductive UN organization, but also call into question future U.S. membership in UNESCO,” wrote the senators in their letter.

It was signed by Senators Marco Rubio, Johnny Isakson, Mark Kirk and David Perdue.

“Given that U.S. law already forbids American taxpayer money going to UNESCO, we urge your administration to join Israel in suspending ties to UNESCO.

“In 1984, the U.S. severed ties with UNESCO due to disparities between American foreign policy goals and UNESCO’s agenda.

“Because UNESCO continues to deviate from its founding mission and adopt one-sided, anti-Israel resolutions, it is time for the U.S. to stand with Israel, and suspend our ties with UNESCO.”

The second resolution, passed this week by the World Heritage Committee, was entitled “Old City of Jerusalem and its Walls. It was approved by a secret vote with only 10 member states casting their ballots in favor; eight abstained, two opposed and one was absent from the room. The Philippines and Tanzania reportedly were the two nations who opposed the measure; Jamaica was absent.

”The theater of the absurd continues,” said Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a speech at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya following the vote. “We will decide what to do and what further steps to take against this organization.” Israeli Ambassador to UNESCO, Carmel Shama Hacohen, was also recalled to Jerusalem “for consultations.”

Muslim Appreciation Month and “Islamapalooza” Come to the University of Florida

October 27, 2016

Muslim Appreciation Month and “Islamapalooza” Come to the University of Florida, Counter JihadBruce Cornibe, October 27, 2016

There’s no doubt Islam enjoys a favored status in much of the West. Because of this Islamists can penetrate ‘educational’ and ‘cultural’ events with the message of Islam in attempts to push their political agenda as well as dawah (evangelism). This seems to be the underlying objective of a group named Islam on Campus-UF (University of Florida), who are commencing Muslim Appreciation Month by sponsoring a two-day event called “Islamapalooza[.]” The Alligator describes the event by stating:

The monthlong celebration is starting with Islamapalooza, formerly named Islam Fair, on the Plaza of the Americas today from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., and it will continue Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The event will feature booths where students can get henna tattoos, play trivia about Islam and eat falafels, pita and samosas.

The festivities seem harmless as the event is under the guise of education (“learn about Islam”) and cultural experience. For the president of Islam On Campus, Maria Ilyas, the event was more of a way for people to better understand Muslims and their beliefs saying, “We’re trying to bring an awareness and appreciation to who Muslims are and what Islam is really about[.]” Okay, so we’re just talking about some misperceptions that lead to miscommunication between Muslims and non-Muslims right? Despite the deceptive language, Islam on Campus’ website reveals a mission that includes more than just education. An excerpt from the website’s “About Us” page reads:

Islam on Campus is an organization devoted to strengthening the Muslim community through service and activism as well as to educating Muslims and non-Muslims alike about the religion of Islam. We also seek to be a source of unity for Muslim students here at the University of Florida. We contribute to the development of the Muslim community here in America and try to remove any barriers to the growth of Islam and the lasting prosperity of Muslims. We struggle for positive social change in all aspects of life and try to provide an atmosphere conducive to the development of future Muslim leaders. All so that we may be of those who are in a constant struggle to perfect their submission to the will of Allah.

It sounds like the organization wants to also spread the message of Islam and Sharia campus wide. Their duplicity shouldn’t come as a surprise considering how they invite speakers from Muslim Brotherhood front organizations to promote their message of ‘understanding’ and ‘dialogue’ better. One such speaker is Zahra Billoo, the executive director of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) – California, the San Francisco Chapter. Billoo spoke at an event part of Islam Appreciation Month called Coexisting in Faith with Zahra Billoo – which she apparently discussed “the different issues faced by people of different faiths in the United States.” Of course, the language used such as “coexisting” captures the attention of liberals, but Billoo’s ideology represents nothing of the sort. Billoo praises terrorist sympathizers and supporters like “the HLF convicts and Al-Arian” (tweet below). Billoo also is an unashamed anti-American that frequently bashes our U.S. military and law enforcement – comparing them to ISIS (tweets below). That kind of equivalence is not only radical but it is essentially inciting revolutionary actions against our government, which is probably the reason why she supports anti-government groups like Black Lives Matter.

Islam on Campus also appears to have connections with other Muslim Brotherhood front groups such as the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) National – snippets from Islam on Campus’ Facebook posts are below.

If the University of Florida wants to truly get into the multiculturalist spirit maybe they should host Christianity and Judaism appreciation months. Yet, even though multiculturalists should give different cultures and religions equal treatment, in reality that is rarely the case – in fact, Muslims oftentimes receive preferential treatment. For example, “a Dirty Dozen jihadists” have been linked to the Islamic Society of Boston. Instead of the mosque being shut down for good, “the Islamic Society of Boston, was singled out by President Obama as an example of how his Countering Violent Extremism program is keeping us all safe.” Could one imagine the kind a treatment a church would receive if just one of its congregants was involved in terrorism? Let’s just say that church wouldn’t be in operation too long.

There’s no doubt Islam on Campus is using its religious minority status to subtlety advocate for Islam and Sharia at these ‘educational’ and ‘cultural’ type events. This activism is going to continue to occur and get even worse unless if our public officials and the media call these groups out. Our government leaders must also decide to break off all ties with Islamist mosques and other entities as well as shut down organizations with terrorism ties. The prevalence of events like “Islamapalooza” throughout the West reveals how are leaders are willing to sacrifice the minds of our kids in order for political expedience. Sharia doesn’t respect freedom and dignity for all human life so why should we respect it?

Clinton Corruption, Two Articles

October 27, 2016

Clinton Corruption, Two Articles, Power LinePaul Mirengoff, October 26, 2016

No one who has been paying attention doubts that the Clinton Foundation is a corrupt enterprise or that Hillary Clinton is a party to the corruption. But two new articles, if read in tandem, drive home the point.

The first article is from the Washington Post, no less. It’s called “Inside ‘Bill Clinton Inc.’: Hacked memo reveals intersection of charity and personal income.”

The memo in question was written by the infamous Doug Band, at that time a central player at the Clinton Foundation and president of his own corporate consulting firm. In his memo, say Post writers Rosalind Helderman and Tom Hamburger, “Band detailed a circle of enrichment in which he raised money for the Clinton Foundation from top-tier corporations such as Dow Chemical and Coca-Cola that were clients of his firm, Teneo, while pressing many of those same donors to provide personal income to the former president.”

Helderman and Hamburger continue:

The memo, made public Wednesday by the anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks, lays out the aggressive strategy behind lining up the consulting contracts and paid speaking engagements for Bill Clinton that added tens of millions of dollars to the family’s fortune, including during the years that Hillary Clinton led the State Department. It describes how Band helped run what he called “Bill Clinton Inc.,” obtaining “in-kind services for the President and his family — for personal travel, hospitality, vacation and the like.

Bill Clinton is the focus of the Post’s article. Hillary is in the background. Her complicity is perhaps implied, but not documented.

The second article, by Chuck Ross of the Daily Caller, gives Hillary her due. It explains the role she played as Secretary of State in “Bill Clinton, Inc.” — an enterprise that should be called “Bill and Hillary Clinton, Inc.”

Ross bases his reporting on documents obtained by Citizens United. The documents show how decisions about access to Hillary Clinton while she was Secretary of State were based, at least in part, on status as a Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) donor.

A Dec. 4, 2012 email shows that Paul McElearney, CGI’s head of member development, emailed Abedin asking if he could meet with Hillary Clinton during her trip to Ireland two days later. Abedin said that she could accommodate McElearney. He then asked if four other people could also meet Clinton.

Before responding, Abedin asked Band and two of his associates: “Are these legit cgi [Clinton Global Initiative] people?” She added: “Everyone is asking to see [Secretary Clinton.”

Clearly, then, contributing to the Clinton Global Initiative was a factor in determining who, among the many who were asking to see Hillary, would be given access.

Putting the two articles together, we see (again) that Bill Clinton’s man Doug Band obtained not just charitable contributions but also personal income and benefits for the Clintons and that those who contributed to “Bill and Hillary Clinton, Inc.” had preferred status when they sought access to Secretary Clinton.

In fact, one of the corporations mentioned by the Post, Dow Chemical, features in another email cited by Ross in the Daily Caller story. According to Ross, an email obtained by Citizens United shows that in April 2011, Band asked Abedin to invite Diego Donoso, an executive with Dow Chemical’s offices in Japan, to a diplomatic session between Hillary Clinton and Naoto Kan, Japan’s prime minister at the time.

Dow wasn’t just a donor to the Clinton Foundation and Clinton Global Initiative. It was also a client of Band’s consulting firm, Teneo.

It isn’t clear whether Donoso attended the diplomatic session. It is clear that his contributions to “Bill and Hillary Clinton, Inc.” counted in his favor with Abedin (and therefore Hillary).

According to the Post, Dow’s massive payments to Teneo led to an investigation by an internal Dow fraud investigator. He concluded: “It appears Dow is paying Teneo for connections with Clinton.”

The investigator was right. And, taken together, the reporting of the Post and the Daily Caller shows that Dow was also paying Bill Clinton for connections, in the form of better access at a minimum, with Hillary.

Column One: Checkmating Obama

October 27, 2016

Column One: Checkmating Obama, Jerusalem Post, Caroline Glick, October 27, 2016

Obama has waited eight years to exact his revenge on Israel for not supporting his hostile, strategically irrational policies. And he has no interest in letting bygones be bygones.

In one of the immortal lines of Godfather 2, mafia boss Michael Corleone discusses the fate of his brother, who betrayed him, with his enforcer.

“I don’t want anything to happen to him while my mother is alive,” Corleone said.

Message received.

The brother was murdered after their mother’s funeral.

Last week it was reported that the Obama administration has delivered a message to the Palestinian Authority. The administration has warned the PA that the US will veto any anti-Israel resolution brought before the UN Security Council before the US presidential elections on November 8.

Message received.

Open season on Israel at the Security Council will commence November 9. The Palestinians are planning appropriately.

Israel needs to plan, too. Israel’s most urgent diplomatic mission today is to develop and implement a strategy that will outflank President Barack Obama in his final eight weeks in power.

Lobbying the administration is pointless. Obama has waited eight years to exact his revenge on Israel for not supporting his hostile, strategically irrational policies. And he has no interest in letting bygones be bygones.

Before turning to what Israel must do, first we need to understand what Israel can do.

A good place to begin is by considering what just transpired at UNESCO, where twice in a week, UNESCO bodies resolved to erase 3,000 years of Jewish history in Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.

The fight that Israel waged at UNESCO is not the fight it needs to wage at the Security Council. The stakes at the Security Council are far higher.

Like the UN General Assembly, UNESCO’s decisions are non-binding declarations that have no legal or operational significance. As such, there is no reason to expend great resources to fight them. For Israel, the goal of the fight at UNESCO is not to defeat anti-Israel initiatives. That is impossible given the Palestinians’ automatic majority.

The purpose of the fight at UNESCO is to humiliate European governments that side with antisemitic initiatives, and to weaken the congenitally anti-Israel body itself.

The government achieved both of these objectives. Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi’s disavowal of his own government’s abstention from the vote on the first resolution – like the similar position taken after the fact by the Mexican government – was a diplomatic victory for Israel.

So too, the fact that UNESCO’s own Secretary-General Irina Bukova felt compelled to disavow her own agency’s actions by rejecting the resolution’s denial of the Jewish people’s ties to Jerusalem was a significant victory for Israel. Her statement was deeply damaging for UNESCO and its reputation.

Finally, the fact that Tanzania and the Philippines voted against the resolution was a testament to Israel’s capacity to convince other governments to abandon their traditional pro-Palestinian voting pattern.

The Palestinians won the vote at UNESCO because they are more powerful diplomatically than Israel. They have an automatic anti-Israel majority. But they weren’t empowered by their victory. To the contrary. They were bloodied by it.

In a sign of their weakening hold on member nations, the Palestinians and Jordanians felt compelled to send a threatening letter to the members of UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee lest they dare to vote against the resolution. Powerful players don’t make threats. They don’t need to.

Israel’s experience at UNESCO teaches us that there are governments that are open to counteroffers. Israel doesn’t need to hide in America’s shadow. It is capable of working on its own to blunt the impact of the Palestinians’ automatic majority. And it will need to use all of its resources to fend off a US-backed assault at the Security Council.

Unlike UNESCO, the Security Council can pass legally binding resolutions. Israel needs to be prepared to bring all of its resources to bear to prevent such a resolution from being adopted against it. Obama’s intention to abandon Israel at the Security Council means that Israel comes to this battle severely hobbled.

But there is one advantage to the US’s betrayal.

Over the years, Israel’s ability to trust the US to veto anti-Israel resolutions at the Security Council was been a mixed blessing. On the one hand, the US has secured Israel from diplomatic assaults. But on the other hand, our ability to trust Washington has made us diplomatically lazy and ineffective.

Safe in Washington’s shadow, we have behaved as through all diplomacy is public diplomacy. That is, we have pretended that statecraft begins and ends with making the moral or strategic case for our side against the other guys.

But public diplomacy is just one diplomatic tool.

The Syrian regime, for instance, has no moral case for securing international support. Bashar Assad didn’t convince Russian President Vladimir Putin to support him by arguing that he is better than alternative regimes. He bought Putin’s support by offering him permanent air and naval bases in Syria.

Then there is Morocco, another weak state with no public diplomacy case to make. Last March, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon outraged Rabat when he acknowledged the plain fact that Western Sahara, which Morocco occupies, is “occupied territory.”

Morocco quickly secured the support of Spain and France and launched an all-out onslaught against Ban. How did Morocco manage?

Morocco’s most powerful diplomatic resource is its control over migration flows from North Africa to Europe. Anytime it wishes, Rabat can open the migratory floodgates just as easily as it can keep them shut. And the French and Spanish know it.

In less than a month, Ban issued repeated abject apologies.

Game. Set. Match. Morocco.

From reports to date, it appears that shortly after the US elections on November 8, the Malaysians or Egyptians will submit a Palestinian-backed resolution that defines Israeli communities in united Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria as illegal. If the resolution is brought to a vote, the US will fail to veto it.

Such a resolution, or a resolution obligating Israel to withdraw to the 1949 armistice lines, would cause Israel grave harm.

So what resources does Israel have to prevent this from happening?

Of course, we have public diplomacy. And that might work with some friendly nations. But it won’t get us over the top. We need to learn from the Syrian and Moroccan examples and consider what we have to offer Security Council members in exchange for their support in scuttling the approaching onslaught against us.

One such resource is the US Congress. Israel’s allies in Congress are sickened by the Obama administration’s devastating Middle East policies. A solid majority of lawmakers can be trusted to support actions that will reinforce Israel’s position.

Israel has other resources as well that we can trade on. We have natural gas. And we have technologies that the governments of the world require to surmount the challenges of the 21 century. There is no reason to give these resources away when we can trade them for diplomatic support.

As for the Palestinians, as the UNESCO vote showed, they are less popular now than at any time in the past 40 years. All they have to offer is threats and antisemitism. Both are powerful weapons.

But they are no longer invincible.

Israel’s goal must be to use our resources at the Security Council in a manner that will make it impossible for Obama to enable an anti-Israel resolution to pass.

A method for achieving this goal has two components. The first component is to convince a friendly country on the Security Council to propose a balanced resolution that would counter the Palestinian-backed Israel-bashing one.

Such a resolution could include four points. First, it could deplore efforts to deny Jewish history in Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.

Second, it can condemn the PA/PLO for their continued unlawful funding of terrorists.

Third, it can urge Israel to restrain settlement construction in areas that in previous negotiations have been identified as likely territory for a future Palestinian state.

Fourth, it can call on Israel and the PA to reinstate negotiations immediately without preconditions.

Israel has friendly ties with a few Security Council members, among them Uruguay and New Zealand. In the final weeks of the Obama era, it is possible that Israel will be able to convince one of them to submit a balanced resolution along these lines.

Obama would be hard-pressed to oppose such a resolution in favor of one that singles Israel out for rebuke.

But that still is insufficient. Obama can make Uruguay and New Zealand a better offer if he wishes.

And so we move to the second aspect of the plan.

If we learn nothing else from the Obama era, we must recognize that the time has come for Israel to stop sufficing with just one Security Council veto. Most states have several. And we need a few more.

Russia today is the best place to start our search for a second veto.

Putin is a dealmaker. As his agreement with Assad showed, he is willing to consider attractive offers. Obviously, Israel won’t offer Russia bases. But we do have other things to offer Putin in exchange for a veto.

For instance, in exchange for a Russian veto at the Security Council, Israel can offer Putin to lobby the US Congress to cancel US sanctions against Russia over Russia’s annexation of Crimea.

Israel has no dog in that fight. And the sanctions are not getting the US anywhere.

Putin might go for the deal for two reasons. First, by stepping into the breach and defending Israel against Obama, he will humiliate Obama.

Second, if Israel succeeds with the Congress, he will reap economic rewards.

For his part, Putin wouldn’t even have to openly side with Israel. All he would have to do is announce that in the interests of regional stability, Russia will not support an unbalanced resolution on Israel and the Palestinians.

If Putin supports a balanced resolution, Obama will be checkmated. His plan to take revenge on Israel for not following him off the strategic cliff will be foiled. Israel will have survived his presidency.

None of this will be easy. And success is far from assured. There are many more ways for Israel to fail than succeed. Our diplomatic weakness remains a millstone around our neck. But as the UNESCO resolutions showed, attacking Israel is no longer cost free. We are not powerless in the grip of circumstances. We have cards to play.

And now is the time to play them for all they are worth.

Are Canada’s Islamists Calling the Shots?

October 27, 2016

Are Canada’s Islamists Calling the Shots? Gatestone Institute, Thomas Quiggin, October 27, 2016

The discourse of “Islamophobia,” and this petition, are nothing more than a continuation of the efforts of Islamists to silence their critics as they advance their own political agenda.

The Liberal Party of Canada appears to have been infiltrated by a variety of individuals who are supporters of Islamist extremism. This is beginning to look like a classic case of political entryism.

In 2016, Prime Minister Trudeau chose not to observe any official 9/11 memorial ceremony to honour the Canadians who died that day. However, the very next day, he attended the Ottawa Main Mosque which has multiple links to extremism. This despite recent stories in Canada about extremism in mosques and schools in Canada.

It was the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hassan Banna, who stated that “It is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated; to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet.”

Samer Majzoub from Quebec has initiated an official Government of Canada petition to the House of Commons. The sponsor of the petition is Liberal Member of Parliament Frank Baylis. The petition calls upon the government to condemn all forms of Islamophobia.

Samer Majzoub self identifies as being part of multiple Islamist (extremist) organization in Quebec, including the (in)famous Al-Rawdaw Mosque[1] and the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC). MAC itself states that they follow the teachings of Hassan Banna and the Muslim Brotherhood. If there was any doubt, a senior member of MAC, Dr. El-Tantawi Attia, made it clear when he stated: “Here we follow the teachings of the Muslim Brotherhood.”

The Muslim Brotherhood is listed as a terrorist group in many countries in the Middle East, while a recent UK government report states that the Muslim Brotherhood

“have a highly ambiguous relationship with violent extremism. Both as an ideology and as a network it has been a rite of passage for some individuals and groups who have gone on to engage in violence and terrorism.”

The Muslim Association of Canada itself has been identified in Canadian Senate testimony as being a Muslim Brotherhood front group.

Accusations of racism and “Islamophobia” are the sword and shield of extremist Islam in the West. It makes excellent use of the concept of perpetual victimhood. The motto of the Muslim Brotherhood is:

“Allah is our objective; the Prophet is our leader; the Quran is our law; Jihad is our way; dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”

The term “Islamophobia” was popularized by the mullahs in Iran after the 1979 Revolution. Women who would not willingly wear the veil were attacked by the government and accused of being “Islamophobic” for not submitting to the will of the (male) mullahs. Richard Stone was one of the authors of a letter to The Guardian in 1994 that used the term; he was also on the Runnymede Trust, which put the term into broad circulation in 1996. Trevor Phillips, of Britain’s Equalities and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), who commissioned the Runmymede Report, has now admitted, in a damning new report on integration, segregation, and how the followers of Islam are creating “nations within nations” in the West, that he “got almost everything wrong” on Muslim immigration.

It is not unusual for a Liberal Member of Parliament to support efforts by extremists. Canada’s Parliamentary Secretary for Global Affairs (Junior Foreign Minister) is an open supporter of Islamic sharia law. Several other Liberal Party members have close links to extremism as well. Additionally, in 2016, Prime Minister Trudeau chose not to observe any official 9/11 memorial ceremony to honour the Canadians who died that day. However, the very next day, he attended the Ottawa Main Mosque, which has multiple links to extremism. This despite recent stories in Canada about extremism in mosques and schools in Canada.

Canada’s Minister of Democratic Reform, Maryam Monsef, is another Liberal Party member creating waves around her place of birth and Islamist belief system. She campaigned on a narrative of how she, as an Afghan refugee, could do great things in Canada — until it became clear she was born in Iran. She was reported to have tried to return to Afghanistan to take a job there in 2014, but now it seems she spent the time in Iran instead. More notably, she claims to find sharia law “fascinating.”

It was the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hassan Banna, who stated that “It is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated; to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet.” The discourse of “Islamophobia,” and this petition, are nothing more than a continuation of the efforts of Islamist to silence their critics as they advance their own political agenda.

[1] The mosque is also a part of the Muslim Association of Canada. Among many other problems, the mosque held a lecture in which the very concept of martial rape was mocked.

Since the final presidential debate last week, many news outlets have been delivering an unvarnished message to Donald Trump supporters: Your candidate is virtually certain to lose the election Nov. 8.

Clinton probably finished off Trump last night,” FiveThirtyEight founder Nate Silver wrote the day after the debate. “Hillary Clinton is almost certain to be president,” Guardian columnist and former New York Times executive editor Jill Abramson added.

A day later, the Times’s Upshot blog increased Clinton’s chances of winning to 93 percent, an all-time high. On Monday, Politico’s Ben Schreckinger wrote that “Donald Trump’s path to an election night win is almost entirely closed.” Here at The Fix, Chris Cillizza and Aaron Blake wrote that “Donald Trump’s chances of winning are approaching zero.”

These are accurate, statistically sound statements. But they are something else, too. Declarations that Trump is highly unlikely to win also serve as counters to the Republican nominee’s warning that the “rigged” election could be “stolen from us.”

For Trump supporters to believe that the election was stolen, they would first have to believe that Trump actually won. And they would be more likely to believe Trump won if he had been winning, winning, winning right up to Election Day, only to have his lead suspiciously vanish overnight.

By making clear that Trump is not winning right now — and that he will be hard-pressed to mount a comeback in the final two weeks of the campaign — the media is effectively telling the billionaire’s backers, “Hey, don’t be skeptical if your guy loses. That’s the outcome you should expect.” The media is priming Trump supporters for (likely) defeat.

Trump has been sowing doubt about the legitimacy of the impending vote for weeks, and some of his supporters may refuse to recognize as valid anything other than victory. But the reality of Trump’s deficit — repeated over and over in the press — does appear to be sinking in.

“We are behind,” Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway acknowledged Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

[Kellyanne Conway is right. Donald Trump is losing.]

“I’m not going to lie to you,” Sean Hannity told radio listeners Monday. “Things aren’t looking great right now.”

Trump himself slipped during an interview with a Charlotte radio station Monday, conceding that he is “somewhat behind in the polls.” Later in the day, however, he returned to fantasyland at a rally in St. Augustine, Fla.: “Folks, we’re winning. We’re winning. We’re winning.”

Perhaps because he has noticed that the media is blaring his unfavorable poll numbers, Trump has taken to questioning the accuracy of the polls themselves — something he did not do when surveys showed him beating the Republican primary field or closing in on Clinton last month. Trump’s claim that he only appears to be losing because many polls oversample Democrats doesn’t hold up to scrutiny, as The Fix’s Philip Bump explained this week. But it is a telling argument.

Trump seems to realize that his voters won’t believe the election is rigged unless they believe he is truly winning. He is doing everything he can to convince them that is the case, while the media reports the opposite — and real — state of the race.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel launched a broadside at internet media giants, accusing them of “narrowing perspective,” and demanding they disclose their privately-developed algorithms. Merkel previously blamed social media for anti-immigrant sentiment and the rise of the far right.

“The algorithms must be made public, so that one can inform oneself as an interested citizen on questions like: what influences my behavior on the internet and that of others?” said Merkel during a media conference in Berlin on Tuesday.

“These algorithms, when they are not transparent, can lead to a distortion of our perception, they narrow our breadth of information.”

Google uses an algorithm to decide which search results are first shown to a user, while Facebook arranges the order of the news feed, and decides to include certain posts from a user’s liked pages and friends, at the expense of others. Both sites also promote links to news articles, often based on a user’s own media interests.

These algorithms are at the core of the intellectual property of any social media or search website, and comprise some of the most highly-protected trade secrets in the world, potentially worth billions. No internet giant has ever revealed its inner workings.

Merkel did not specifically name Facebook, Google or Twitter, but implied that the large platforms are creating “bubbles” of self-reinforcing views, and squeezing out smaller news providers.

“The big internet platforms, via their algorithms, have become an eye of a needle which diverse media must pass through to reach users,” warned Merkel. “This is a development that we need to pay careful attention to.”

The internet giants themselves have argued that the so-called social media bubble is largely a myth, and that online users have a wider access to differing views than under a pre-internet model, where most news would be acquired from just a handful of newspapers and one or two TV channels.

German establishment raises ‘Sword of Damocles’ over social media

This is not the first attack on social media by Merkel and her Grand Coalition government, and while the German politician advocates diversity of views, she has previously accused it of perpetrating opinions that are most at odds with those of the establishment and traditional media.

Last month, Merkel accused AfD, the recently-established anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim party, which receives overwhelmingly negative coverage in most newspapers, of “spreading their lies” through social media, as it achieves breakthroughs in regional elections around the country.

A year ago, at the height of the refugee influx into the country, Merkel, who was first elected in 2005, was caught on a hot mic personally pressing Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to clamp down on anti-migrant posts during a UN session in New York.

A fortnight ago, the leader of Merkel’s parliamentary CDU faction, Volker Kauder, said that social media should be fined €50,000 for failing to remove “hate speech,” saying that a “Sword of Damocles” has to hang over social media. Kauder also called for warnings, similar to those on cigarette packs or before entering pornographic websites, to be given to those about to go on social media.

Justice Minister Heiko Maas – who said that there had been a 77 percent increase in hate crimes following the arrival of 900,000 asylum seekers – has given internet media companies until February next year to comply with EU directives on xenophobia and racism, or face legal action.

French Jews gathered at the Quai d’Orsay in Paris Thursday in a show of solidarity with Israel over the disgraceful resolutions passed by the United Nations Education, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCSO) aimed at denying the ancient historic Jewish ties with Jerusalem.

CRIF, the political lobby group representing French Jewish communities, and the Consistoire, French Jewry’s organ responsible for religious services, called to join the protest rally, which took place opposite the French Foreign Ministry. France abstained from the vote on the first resolution by the UNESCO Executive Board, erasing Judaism’s ties to the Western Wall and the Temple Mount, last week.

The protesters expressed their outrage at the failure of France to vote against the two UNESCO committee resolutions erasing the ancient Jewish historic ties to Jerusalem and its holy sites.

“There’s been a long history of delegitimization of Israel with her land,” wrote Moshe Cohen Sabban on the French-language “Jforum” web site.

“The kingdom of Israel during its greatest reign under Kings David and Solomon, which went far beyond the current borders, has experienced many setbacks because of the schism between the kingdom of Judah with Jerusalem as its capital, and the kingdom of northern Israel.

“This territory took the name of Judea after the fall of the kingdom of Israel and the first century of the Common Era. After the fall of the Second Holy Temple to the Romans, the latter undertook to name this territory ‘Palestine,” to resonate with the territory of the Philistines.

“Rome wanted to wipe Israel off the map. It is remarkable that their heirs, 20 centuries later, are doing the same.

“The People of Israel have a clear claim to this land as our land, the descendants of Israel (Yaacov / Jacob) as appointed by God, the source of the Tributes that God brought out of Egypt to carry out in the Land that is ours by Divine Right.

“We must remain mobilized on this grave matter.”

I told my son, “you will marry the girl I choose.”

He said “NO!”

I said, “she’s Bill Gates daughter.”

He said “OK”

I called Bill gates and said “my son will marry your daughter.”

He said “NO!”

I told Bill Gates ” My son is the CEO of the World Bank.”

Bill Gates said “OK.”

I called the President of the World Bank and said, ” Make my son the CEO”

He said “NO!”

I told him, “My son is Bill Gates son in law”

He said, “OK”

This my friends is exactly how politics works.
