All right-thinking people know that Islam is the religion of peace and tolerance. Therefore, even though some instances of violent extremism may involve Muslims, Islam obviously has nothing to do with it. Imam Obama and President Erdogan of Turkey have told us that repeatedly. Only Islamophobes claim that there is a connection.

Often, acts erroneously deemed to be “Islamic terrorism” are the results of mental or other disorders. For example Khaled al-Hamada, a brave freedom fighter in Syria, liked to feast on the organs of infidels enemies he had helped to kill. It was neither Islam’s fault nor his:

[A] Michigan State University report from 2014 suggests that Kuru, a neuro-degenerative disorder that is associated with cannibalism, has emerged in Syria, claiming some two dozen lives. According to the report, “Kuru resurfaced in the Muslim community recently among Syrian rebels who were rumored to be eating the hearts of victims, 2 of these rebels were then hospitalized and transferred to Germany to be treated for the disease signifying the emergence of the disease in Syria.”

There are doubtless many other cases in which what is erroneously assumed to be “Islamic terrorism” is something else entirely.

Aspersions wrongly cast on our holy religion doubtless hurt the feelings of many if not most Muslims. For example, this blasphemous “comedy” sketch about Turkey’s beloved president — a fierce opponent of violent extremism — was properly ordered removed from the air by Frau Merkel of Germany; she also phoned President Erdogan to apologize for the gratuitous insults. Although she is a mere female, she is working diligently to make Germany, and indeed the entire European Union, truly multicultural.

Even brave Muslim fighters against violent extremism have tender feelings, and the above video shows the lengths to which vile Islamophobes will go to hurt their feelings. Why can’t they show compassion comparable to that which Islam, guided by Allah the All Merciful, has directed us to have for homosexuals?

The Islamic Republic of Iran, at the forefront of compassionate Islamic jurisprudence, deals with homosexuals in the prescribed humanitarian way.

When Islamists are persuaded that they have erred, they repent and change. As documented in this inspiring article, members of the Islamic State — when confronted by Black Lives Matter (BLM*) protesters — agreed to reform their possibly “racist” ways. A BLM protest

led to “productive dialogue” once ISIS’ leaders realized her storming the stage was not an attempted suicide bombing by their rival group Al-Nusrah Front.

Al-Adnani also said that ISIS would attempt to include a wider variety of races and ethnic groups in future executions and vowed to set up a multicultural “All Deaths Matter” Martyrs Brigade.

ISIS also declared a “period of reflection,” to avoid appearing racially insensitive and called off the remaining events of the day, including crushing several children with a bulldozer and immolating a suspected CIA spy.

One small step for BLM and the Islamic State, one giant step for humankind!

Let us all follow the good example of the holy Islamic State and abandon our wicked ways like dear little children, Insha-Allah.

Perhaps if they intone Insha-Allah often enough, even Klu Klux Klan members will abandon their terrorist activities and cease parading around American college campuses scaring the inmates students.

Moderate Islamist Al Qaeda Cannibal Tragically Killed in Syria

Moderate Islamist Al Qaeda Cannibal Tragically Killed in Syria, Front Page Magazine, Daniel Greenfield, April 6, 2016

lecter_palestine2b

Khaled al-Hamad (????-2016) was tragically killed in the Syrian Civil War. Al-Hamad was known as a devoted father, husband and cannibal. He fought for truth, justice and an Islamic State that would behead infidels, cover women and eat body parts. A passionate rebel, Khaled, also known as Abu Sakkar, came to the world’s attention when he passionately ate a heart or possibly a lung on camera.

Syrian rebel commander Abu Sakkar has said he has no regrets about cutting open the body of an enemy soldier and taking a bite out of his internal organs.

In the video, Sakkar, identified as a founder of the rebel Farouq Brigade, is seen taking out organs, believed to be the heart and a lung, from the soldier’s body and holding them up in front of the camera before taking a bite out of one of them.

There was some debate as to whether Sakkar/Hamad was eating a heart or a lung.

Al Hamad has now confirmed that the video is real, and that he did indeed take a bite of the soldier’s lung. (At the time of the filming, al Hamad believed that he was biting into the liver. A surgeon who has seen the video confirms that the organ in question was a lung, which somewhat resembles the liver).

Don’t worry though, Hamad isn’t one of those extremists. He was a moderate.

The Farouk Brigade has been described as “Moderately Islamist.”

Since then though Hamad became an “extremist” and joined Al Qaeda. And got himself killed.

The Observatory said that rival rebels “assassinated Khaled al-Hamad, who was known as Abu Sakkar and who was a military commander in Al-Nusra, by gunning him down” in the northwestern province of Idlib. They added, “He was likely killed in a settling of accounts.”

Apparently, Abu Sakkar joined the Al-Qaeda-affiliated Al-Nusra Front about a year ago.

It was either this or Kuru.

However, a Michigan State University report from 2014 suggests that Kuru, a neuro-degenerative disorder that is associated with cannibalism, has emerged in Syria, claiming some two dozen lives. According to the report, “Kuru resurfaced in the Muslim community recently among Syrian rebels who were rumored to be eating the hearts of victims, 2 of these rebels were then hospitalized and transferred to Germany to be treated for the disease signifying the emergence of the disease in Syria.”

The Arab Spring is now the Walking Dead.

US mulling withdrawal of Sinai multinational force, reports say

US mulling withdrawal of Sinai multinational force, reports say, DEBKAfile, April 6, 2016

The Obama administration is considering the redeployment of the multinational peacekeeping force in the Sinai Peninsula, made up primarily of US troops, from bases in the north to more well-protected ones in the south, and replacing the troops with unmanned technology, reports said Wednesday. The move comes amid continuing terrorist attacks by ISIS in the area. Defense Department spokesman Christopher Sherwood said in a statement issued Tuesday that “The (Pentagon) supports the role being played by the Multinational Force and Observers in supporting the Treaty of Peace between Israel and Egypt,” adding that “We are in continuous contact with the MFO and adjust force protection capabilities as conditions warrant.” The MFO consists of soldiers from numerous nations including 700 US troops. Some of its observer stations were shut down in September 2015 after four of peacekeepers were injured in an ISIS roadside bomb attack.

Abbas reiterates: All of Israel is ‘occupation’

Abbas reiterates: All of Israel is ‘occupation’ Israel National News, Ari Soffer, April 6, 2016

Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas has once again referred to the entire State of Israel as “occupied” territory, highlighting the wide gulf between his rhetoric in Arabic and his image as a moderate within much of the international media.

In an interview with official PA TV in mid-March, translated by Palestinian Media Watch, Abbas echoed similar comments he made late last year by claiming Palestinian Arabs have been “occupied” since 1948 – the date of the State of Israel’s founding. Such rhetoric lies in stark contrast to perceptions in the West that Abbas’s PA only desires a state in Judea, Samaria and Gaza – territories liberated from Arab rule in 1967.

“We have been under occupation for 67 or 68 years,” Abbas said. “Others would have sunk into despair and frustration. However, we are determined to reach our goal because our people stands behind us.”

The extent of Abbas’s doublespeak is apparent when comparing such statements to the more conciliatory tone he takes when addressing foreign audiences.

One example highlighted by PMW was carried by Al-Hayat Al-Jadida later in March, when Abbas met a delegation of Jews.

“We strive for peace through the establishment of the Palestinian state, which will live in peace and stability alongside Israel,” he told them.

Abbas similarly told a Druze audience: “We must hurry building peace here, and find the ideal solution, which is simple – the Palestinians and the Israelis will live in two states that will exist side by side in peace and stability, because we want our children and grandchildren to live a good, normal, and prosperous life.”

Israeli officials often point towards Abbas’s doublespeak to illustrate how they say he manipulates Western audiences with messages of peace, while encouraging his own Arab population to continue fighting to destroy Israel.

Other PA officials have often been far more direct in their statements, describing any future “two-state solution” as only the first stage in destroying Israel, and describing a “West Bank state” as “just a phase” before wiping Israel out entirely.

State Sponsor of Islamic Terrorism: “Terrorism will Never have a Religion”

State Sponsor of Islamic Terrorism: “Terrorism will Never have a Religion” Front Page Magazine, Daniel Greenfield, April 6, 2016

Islamic terrorism

Islamic Terrorism has no religion. We all know that. And it’s good to hear a state sponsor of Islamic terrorism reaffirm that right here.

Hailing the beauty of its location near the capital Washington, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan officially inaugurated the Diyanet Center of America.

“Unfortunately, we are going through a rough time all around the world. Intolerance towards Muslims is on the rise not only here in the United States but also around the globe,” said Erdogan, who is accused of increasingly autocratic rule.

Also Erdogan threatened to ethnically cleanse Armenians, massacred Kurds and has prisons filled with political prisoners. But all his victims are probably guilty of Islamophobia.

The complex, the only one in the United States to feature two minarets, echoes the golden age of 16th century Ottoman architecture, with its central dome, half domes and cupolas in the style of Istanbul’s Suleymaniye Mosque.

Also it echoes the Islamist poem that sent Erdogan to jail originally, before he took over the country. “The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and the faithful our soldiers.”

Good thing we let him set up his barracks and bayonets here. When even Cuba denied him permission.

“Terrorism will never have a religion, will never have a nation, will never have a nationality, nor will it ever have a root or ethnicity,” Erdogan said.

Obviously. Just ask Hamas, which Erdogan backs. Not to mention the various Syrian Jihadists whom he also backs. These Islamic terrorists have no religion.

P.S. This all makes sense if you define terrorism as non-Muslims defending themselves against Jihadists.

UN sanctifies evil

April 6, 2016

UN sanctifies evil, Israel Hayom, Isi Leibler, April 6, 2016

The United Nations is an evil body dominated by Islamic nations and tyrannies.

Just last week, on March 24 in Geneva, the U.N. Human Rights Council concluded its session by passing five resolutions condemning Israel. This followed a series of blood libels accusing the only democratic country, in a region surrounded by barbarism, of engaging in a policy of deliberate murder of Palestinian children.

Indeed the Human Rights Council has passed more resolutions condemning Israel over the past decade than all resolutions criticizing other governments combined. This, despite the fact that countries leading the charges against Israel are themselves engaged in horrific human rights violations. And despite the fact that in Syria, Israel’s neighbor, hundreds of thousands have been killed and millions are trying to flee the country as President Bashar Assad’s army and ISIS butcher entire communities.

The reality is that the United Nations, with its subsidiaries, has morphed into an evil body dominated by Islamic nations, tyrannies and rogue states whose policies it legitimizes.

Freedom House, the independent watchdog organization dedicated to the expansion of freedom and democracy, maintains that 80% of UNHRC members are “not free” or only “partly free.” In this degenerate body, Saudi Arabia was elected last year to chair a key human rights panel.

The UNHRC has consistently appointed fiercely biased anti-Israel rapporteurs and commissioned numerous reports to demonize Israel and accuse the Israel Defense Forces of engaging in war crimes.

Last month, it passed a resolution to boycott produce and compile a list of businesses over the Green Line — clearly a first step in the direction of sanctions and an extension of the global anti-Semitic BDS movement.

Similar outrageous bias is also prevalent in the U.N. General Assembly and Security Council where demonizing, delegitimizing and attributing all the woes of the world to the Jewish state is reminiscent of Nazi propaganda or the Middle Ages when Jews were held responsible for all the misfortunes of mankind.

The initiatives of these efforts to demonize Israel emanate from rogue states that dominate the U.N.

A few examples:

  • Representatives of Moammar Gadhafi‎’s Libya and Qatar served as presidents of the General Assembly;
  • A representative of Iran served as a vice president;
  • Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who heads the world’s most virulent terror state, used the General Assembly to “condemn terror” while interspersing his statements with anti-Semitic remarks;
  • Iran, which stones women for adultery, was appointed to the U.N. Commission on the Status of Women;
  • Assad’s Syria was elected to a UNESCO commission dealing with human rights and nuclear proliferation;
  • As recently as 2010, the UNHRC published a report praising the human rights record of Libya;
  • A representative of Sudan, whose president is wanted by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity, was elected vice president of the Economic and Social Council, which regulates human rights;
  • North Korea was elected to chair the Conference on Disarmament;
  • UNESCO continuously condemns Israel and only once condemned Syria, and yet elected Syria to one of its human rights committees.
  • In 2015 the World Health Organization had the gall to pass a resolution, introduced by Syria, by a majority of 104 with 4 opposed and 6 abstentions, absurdly claiming that Israel was “targeting the health of Syrians in the Golan … injecting them with pathogenic viruses.” The WHO has never carried a single resolution condemning any other country.

Further examples abound of the hypocritical, corrupt and evil machinations of the U.N.

After the defeat of Nazism, the founders of the United Nations endorsed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. They never envisaged that the organization they created would subsequently be hijacked by dictatorships and tyrannies who would exploit it as a platform to promote evil, even including the endorsement of genocide.

Israel became the canary in the mine. Two decades after having endorsed the creation of the State of Israel, the U.N. initiated a concerted effort towards its delegitimization.

We have witnessed a dramatic downward spiral at the U.N. over the last 30 years. In the 1990s, the Security Council was disgraced by its failure to quash genocide in Rwanda, despite the fact that it had peacekeeping forces in the area. Likewise, the shocking blunder in Srebrenica, Bosnia, when a U.N. battalion — in a U.N.-declared “free zone” — handed 8,000 Muslim civilians to the Serb military, which promptly slaughtered them all. Nor was the U.N. able to deal with the genocide in Sudan or more recently the carnage in Syria.

Instead, it intensified its anti-Israel campaigns. What is morally despicable is that the Europeans, who initially displayed token resistance to some of the more outrageous attacks on Israel, have reverted to the role they played in the 1930s when they stood aside as the forces of darkness enveloped the Jewish people.

They seem to have entirely forsaken their moral compass and rarely vote against the most extreme anti-Israel resolutions, preferring to abstain so as not to antagonize those powers seeking to delegitimize and destroy the Jewish state. They also join the obscene calls on Israel to respond “more proportionately” to Palestinians engaged in murdering their civilians.

Now they have gone one step further. In a world rampant with human rights injustices, they preceded the UNHRC with an EU demand for “labeling” Israeli products emanating from over the Green Line.

This must be seen as an extension of the ongoing campaign to rescind U.N. Resolution 242, which calls for negotiations based on defensible borders and substituting it with a demand to return to the indefensible 1949 borders unless an agreement on swaps with the Palestinians (currently inconceivable) can be achieved. In this context, the settlement blocs, the Jewish neighborhoods of east Jerusalem and even the Jewish Quarter of the Old City are regarded as occupied territories.

Until now, the Security Council was prevented from passing such a resolution because the U.S. protected Israel by employing its veto. While U.S. President Barack Obama has been at the vanguard of those demanding that Israel accept the indefensible 1949 armistice lines as future borders, until now he was inhibited by Congress and his own party from endorsing a Security Council resolution to this effect.

But in recent months there have been numerous signals and outright threats that unless Israel makes further unilateral concessions, it should no longer rely on a U.S. veto to prevent a harsh Security Council resolution which could in turn pave the way for global sanctions against the Jewish state.

Obama is unlikely to act until after the presidential elections. But there are growing concerns that in the two-month hiatus between the elections and his retirement, he could well do so.

The U.N. is intensifying its campaign against Israel. The horrendous ISIS attacks in Europe have in no way impacted on EU policy toward Israel.

The months until the presidential elections present the optimal time to influence future U.S. policy toward the U.N. and to ensure that Israel is not abandoned to the wolves.

This year, due to a mandatory rotation, the U.S. is not a member of the UNHRC. Presidential candidates should be canvassed to express their commitment to refuse to participate in the UNHRC unless it halts its obsessional anti-Israel crusades. They should also be urged to commit themselves to refute any effort to impose a solution on Israel or rescind U.N. Resolution 242.

Donald Trump has already completely written off the U.N. But the real challenge is to persuade the likely winner — Hillary Clinton — to translate the speech she made at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee conference expressing her love for Israel into a clear cut commitment that, if elected, she will ensure that the U.S. either enforces a modicum of morality at the U.N. — including confronting the vile hatred that portrays Israel as evil incarnate — or take appropriate action.

The U.N. today incubates evil and provides legitimacy to tyrannies. If this will not change, the U.S. and other democratic countries have an obligation to condemn these pathological actions and, if necessary, establish a global association of democracies to promote human rights and combat terrorism.

Democratic leaders would do well to recall the words of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the German theologian executed by the Nazis, who stated that “silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

Satire | ‘Black Lives Matter’ protesters disrupt ISIS beheading

April 6, 2016

Black Lives Matter’ protesters disrupt ISIS beheading, Duffel Blog, April 6, 2016

BLM-isis-march-1000x600

AL-RAQQAH, Syria – Protesters from the group Black Lives Matter caused what observers called a “major headache,” so to speak, in Syria last Friday when they interrupted a public beheading being carried out by the group the Islamic State.

Abu Mohammad al-Adnani, a spokesman for the Islamic State, or ISIS, said the protesters had “stormed” the front steps of the town hall in Al-Raqqah, where ISIS fighters were about to behead four civilians for what al-Adnani called “the heinous crime of pigeon breeding.”

The protest group was led by Imani Mills, a 26-year-old community activist and aspiring motocross racer from Minneapolis, who claims she was attempting to highlight the glaring racial inequalities found throughout the Islamic State.

“Most people don’t realize that the Islamic State is the most dangerous place on earth to be a person of color,” said Mills. “Fully 100% of all violence in this country is carried out against people of color, making it worse than Nigeria, the Central African Republic, or even Baltimore.”

Mills added, “Every day people of color in the Islamic State are shot to death by the police or locked up in cages. ISIS needs to recognize its role in perpetuating this hetero-patriarchal state violence.”

While Black Lives Matters now contains 28 separate chapters, including one in Canada, its Syrian chapter is by far the least successful. According to Mills, the group originally just tried walking around downtown Raqqah yelling “Hands Up Don’t Shoot,” but were mistaken for a group of surrendering Syrian Army soldiers and gunned down.

Mills says they later tried unsuccessfully to disrupt a speech by ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi by waving signs which read “Ban the Box,” a movement to remove criminal records from job applications. However the phrase only led to confusion when ISIS members thought they were referring to the boxes the group puts collaborators in and sets on fire.

Last month they tried blocking the roads into Raqqah, chanting, “Shut this whole town down! The power, the roads, the water!” but gave up after they realized the Syrian Air Force had destroyed them all in a bombing raid several months earlier.

However, both al-Adnani and Mills said this latest protest had led to “productive dialogue” once ISIS’ leaders realized her storming the stage was not an attempted suicide bombing by their rival group Al-Nusrah Front.

ISIS descends on Jordan’s border, activates suicides. Jordanian command post in Daraa

ISIS descends on Jordan’s border, activates suicides. Jordanian command post in Daraa, DEBKAfile, April 6, 2016

Islamic State in Jordan

ISIS forces in southern Syria overran several Jordanian border crossings south of the Yarmouk River on Tuesday, April 5. This disastrous turn of events is illustrated by an exclusive picture obtained by DEBKAfile of an ISIS fighter unfurling the organization’s flag at one of the crossings which sports a Jordanian flag.

The picture taken the same day shocked the royal court and the Jordanian military command in Amman.

Our military sources report that an urgent conference was called at the Military Operations Command (MOC), north of Amman to devise measures for containing the Islamic State’s leap into more territory on the Syrian-Jordanian border. It was attended by Jordanian, American, Israeli, Saudi and UAE officers.

Our military sources report that an urgent conference was called at the Military Operations Command (MOC), north of Amman to devise measures for containing the Islamic State’s leap into more territory on the Syrian-Jordanian border. It was attended by Jordanian, American, Israeli, Saudi and UAE officers.

They voiced apprehension about three developments which give Daesh a substantial edge

1. A group of high ISIS officers traveled south from headquarters in Raqqa in the last few days, took command of the 3,000 fighters of the affiliated Yarmouk Brigades, and is now working to form a continuous jihadist enclave along Syria’s borders with Israel and Jordan, like the 90-kilometer ISIS strip blocking part of the Turkish border.

This enclave would directly threaten the Israeli Golan and northern Jordan.

2. When ISIS forces retreated last week from Palmyra, a group headed south, fetching up outside Jebel Druze without entering this mountain region. It is now feared that the jihadis are about to turn west toward the Israeli border and link up with the Yarmouk brigades. This would double the number of ISIS forces in southern Syria and make possible a major new assault on the Jordanian and Israeli borders.

JordanDaraa480Koteret

3. The strengthening of ISIS forces in southern Syria has attracted some of the Syrian rebel groups fighting the Syria army to the jihadist flag and the Yarmouk Brigades. The largest militia to enlist recently is the Al-Muthana movement. Although its leaders deny taking an oath of allegiance or any other ties with ISIS, Al-Muthana is currently fighting alongside ISIS. This has sent a disturbing signal to the hundreds of other anti-Assad militias in the neighborhood.

Jordan has meanwhile stepped forward to stem this flow of strength to ISIS.

DEBKAfile’s military and intelligence sources report that Jordanian military intelligence officers specializing in guerrilla warfare have been infiltrating rebel-held areas in the South, especially Daraa, the regional hub, for the purpose of whipping rebel militias together into a front against ISIS. These officers have succeeded in setting up a joint war room with the three biggest rebel groups in the south, the Southern Front, Jaish Fatah al-Junub and Jaish al-Islam, for action under the direction of the MOC outside Amman.

On Monday, April 4, the joint force saw combat, when rebel forces under Jordanian commanders launched an attack to drive the ISIS forces back into their former corner in the narrow triangle near the meeting-point of the Syrian, Israeli and Jordanian borders. ISIS hit back with suicide bombers, who blew themselves up next to the Jordanian-led rebel assault force. It was the first time ISIS had unleashed suicide bombers so close to the Israeli border.

The two extremes of British politics regarding Israel and antisemitism

April 6, 2016

The two extremes of British politics regarding Israel and antisemitism | Anne’s Opinions, 5th April 2016

(The British seem to be waking up to the perils of antisemitism in their midst but there is still plenty of work to be done, particularly in the Labour Party.– anneinpt)

06428-anti2bzionism2bis2banti-semitism

Antisemitism and anti-Israel activism in British politics have been grabbing the headlines in recent weeks. It now looks like the British are starting to wake up to the fact that anti-Zionism is a mere cloak to disguise old-fashioned antisemitism, aka anti-Jewish prejudice and hatred, and are taking action to counteract this scourge. This ranges from demands for Labour to expel antisemites from the party to defunding terror-supporting charities to outlawing boycotts and discouraging BDS.

However it’s not all good news. First, I bring you the the bad news: “Lucy Lips” at Harry’s Place reported on a horrendous meeting in February organized by the Palestine Return Center and which was held at the House of Commons.

At an event in the House of Commons organised by the Palestine Return Centre entitled “Challenging the Narrative: the Obstacles in Advocating for Palestinian Rights”. Kamel Hawwash, British-Palestinian professor & Vice Chair of Palestine Solidarity Campaign went to great pains to say he was speaking in a purely personal capacity.

The quotes are nausea-inducing, but none surprise me. I have zero expectations from Kamel Hawwash (he could more accurately be called Hogwash) but the worst was from the execrable Baroness Jenny Tonge, antisemite par excellence:

Jenny Tonge popped her head around the door of the same meeting to say the following:

“I said that the trouble is with Israel now days is it’s simply not Kosher…it is not behaving like Jewish people…to me it has no relationship at all towards Judaism…”

Just think about those words for a minute and let their poison sink in. Tonge hit every single antisemitic trope that she could possibly manage in teh space of one venomous sentence. You can almost picture her rubbing her hands together with glee at her clever use of semantics to condemn the Jews. Anti-semanticism if you want.

Note too the way she claims for herself the right to define what Judaism is, what it should be, and how the Jews ought to behave.

I have read a lot of antisemitism in my blogging life, but this quote takes the biscuit.

She continues…

“I don’t know how many times I have been accused of antisemitism, of course I have, all the time because I criticise Israel and I don’t always choose my words carefully because I don’t think they deserve it frankly. But if you are accused of antisemitism say I am not antisemitic I am anti injustice and actually the injustice that’s been meted out to the Palestinians I think is the worst thing that happened in the last century.”

She thinks that what has happened to the Palestinians is the worst thing that happened in the last century. The woman needs her head examining as well as her soul. Worse than the Holocaust? Worse than Vietnam, than Stalin’s genocides, than the killing fields of Cambodia? A “genocide” that is so slow it is working backwards as the Palestinian population has quadrupled and more since Israel’s establishment? The mind boggles.

You can hear her actual words here if you have the stomach for it:

At least she has resigned from the Liberal Democrats party. However, disgracefully, she still retains her position as a life peer in the House of Lords which is an insult to the British political system given her racist views.

“Habibi” notes in a postscript to the article:

the meeting was hosted by Labour MP Grahame Morris. It was chaired by Sameh Habeeb, one of the most grotesque haters of them all. The PRC is of course close to Hamas and has its own appalling record. Well done Labour, yet again!

After that poisonous meal, let’s now clear our palates from the bitter taste of Tonge’s disgraceful words, which would fit perfectly into any issue of Der Stuermer.

As an antidote, here is a wonderful speech from the British Secretary of State for Justice, Michael Gove, which he gave last week at a gala evening organized by the Jewish news-site the Algemeiner:

The British Justice Minister on Monday railed against the BDS movement, calling it the new manifestation of an old hatred that he said “all of us would have thought would have vanished from this earth forever, after the unique crime of the Holocaust.”

Addressing the third annual Algemeiner “Jewish 100 Gala” in New York, UK Secretary of State for Justice Michael Gove, a key honoree of the event, bemoaned the rise of antisemitism in Europe, referring to it as a “virus which mutates.”

“In medieval times, antisemitism was religious, and it found its manifestation in ghettoization and forced conversion,” said Gove, a conservative politician and former journalist. “In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, antisemitism, under the perverted guise of scientific racism, led to eliminationist politics in Austria, in Germany, and the greatest crime that mankind has ever witnessed.”

But, he asserted, “Antisemitism has changed. And now, it finds its expression in opposition to the Jewish people’s collective identity and the existence of the state of Israel.”

Read it all, and then watch this great video:

Kol hakavod on this strong denunciation of antisemitism and his outspoken support for Israel! If only Mr. Gove and his friends could spread their influence more widely in UK politics, the world would be a much safer and better place.
