Blue and White leader Benny Gantz warned the leaders of Hamas on Wednesday that if they attack Israel while he is prime minister the policy of “targeted killings” of Hamas leaders would return.

Speaking on a tour of the Gaza periphery together with fellow Blue and White leaders, Yair Lapid, Moshe Ya’alon, Gabi Ashkenazi, Gantz promised that there would be “zero tolerance,” for firing on the Israeli south.

Gantz declared Operation Protective Edge that he commanded in Gaza success, and said it brought quiet to the south. But that after he left his post, kites and other projectiles were fired.

He also said he would insist of the return of the bodies of soldiers held by Hamas.

Gantz accused New Right co-chairman Naftali Bennett of “incitement,” for statements he made.

Previously on Wednesday, Gantz and Bennett exchanged heated words regarding the government’s attitude toward Hamas.

Gantz reacted to a statement Bennett had made on Tuesday in which he talked about the need to fight Hamas and the problem with the Supreme Court.

“An education minister who compares Hamas and the Supreme Court cannot remain in his post for a single minute,” Gantz said. “They [the New Right] do not even need to bring Kahanists to the Knesset because they themselves are like that.”

Bennett reacted by saying that “Gantz is the wet dream of Hamas” and “if Hamas had the right to vote in an Israeli election, they would vote for Gantz, who is ‘General Hesitation.’”

Labor leader Avi Gabby responded to Bennett by saying that the wet dream of Hamas, is actually receiving millions of dollars in a suit case, and that the wet dream came true thanks to Bennett and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Iran warns Israel of ‘crushing response’ to any naval intervention

Iran’s defense minister warned Wednesday that the Islamic Republic would give a “crushing response” if Israel followed through on a threat by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stymie Iranian oil shipments.

Defense minister Amir Hatami was responding to a speech last week in which Netanyahu warned that Israel’s navy might intervene if Iran was illegally exporting petroleum and bypassing American economic sanctions, the IRNA news agency reported

“If they have such an intention, this issue will be regarded as international piracy,” Hatami said.

In his speech, Netanyahu accused Iran of secretly smuggling oil to get past economic sanctions, and called on the international community to take action against the activity.

“Iran is trying to bypass the sanctions on it through the covert smuggling of petroleum via the sea,” he said. “As these attempts expand, the (Israeli) navy will have a more important role in efforts to block these Iranian actions.

“I call on the international community to halt, by any means, Iran’s attempts to bypass the sanctions via the sea,” Netanyahu said.

Hatami, in his response, said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran enjoys the required capability to respond to this issue and if happens, it will give a crushing response.”

He added that the Iranian military would “secure the security of shipping lines and international shipping lanes for ourselves and all those who are in our area of responsibility,”

Last May the United States pulled out of a landmark 2015 nuclear deal, reimposing stiff economic sanctions that had been lifted from Iran in return for the dismantling of the weapons-capable elements of its nuclear development program. US President Donald Trump has said the deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, doesn’t go far enough in preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and does not restrict the Iranian missile development program.

Highly dependent on petroleum exports, the Iranian economy is prospected to contract by 3.6 percent in 2019 with the reimposition of the US sanctions, while its daily oil export dropped from 2.7 million barrels to 1.7-1.9 million barrels by September 2018.

While the US Navy maintains a large presence in the area, Israel does not reveal the location of its vessels.

The US Navy’s 5th Fleet is based in nearby Bahrain and over the years has had aircraft carrier groups patrol the seas off of Iran in a show of force. In December, the US carrier USS John C. Stennis entered the Persian Gulf, ending a long absence of American carriers in the volatile region.

Last month Iranian state media released an animated video showing one of the country’s Ghadir-class submarines sinking an American aircraft carrier.

In past years, Iranian naval forces have harassed US ships in the area, and Iran has threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow entrance to the Persian Gulf that is crucial to the international oil trade.

Netanyahu hits back at ‘Turkey’s dictator Erdogan’

Responding to accusations of ‘blatant racism,’ PM describes Turkish president as ‘a joke,’ says his country’s prisons are filled with ‘journalists and judges’

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has slammed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as a “dictator” and “a joke” in the latest exchange of insults between the two leaders.

Turkey on Tuesday denounced Netanyahu’s “blatant racism” after he called Israel the nation-state of “the Jewish people” only, not all its citizens.

Netanyahu’s initial comment had come amid an online spat sparked by Israel’s firebrand Culture Minister Miri Regev ahead of April elections and subsequently joined by Israeli Hollywood star Gal Gadot.

Regev, a member of Netanyahu’s right-wing Likud party, had in a TV interview warned voters not to support its main rival because it would rely on the support of Arab Israeli parties.

Model and actress Rotem Sela responded on Instagram, asking: “When the hell will someone in this government convey to the public that Israel is a state of all its citizens and that all people were created equal?”

Netanyahu reacted with his own Instagram message, telling Sela: “Israel is not a state of all its citizens.”

“According to the basic nationality law we passed, Israel is the nation-state of the Jewish people — and only it,” he said, referring to a deeply controversial piece of legislation passed last year.

Gadot, star of “Wonder Woman,” jumped to Sela’s defense.

“Love your neighbor as yourself,” Gadot wrote on Instagram late Sunday. “This isn’t a matter of right or left. Jew or Arab. Secular or religious. It’s a matter of dialogue, of dialogue for peace and security and of our tolerance of one toward the other.”

On Tuesday, Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin weighed in on Netanyahu’s comments.

Writing on Twitter in both Turkish and English, he said: “I strongly condemn this blatant racism and discrimination.”

Netanyahu struck back in a statement from his office late Tuesday.

“Turkey’s dictator Erdogan attacks Israel’s democracy while Turkish journalists and judges fill his prisons,” it read.

“What a joke!”

Benjamin Netanyahu

Turkey and Israel have tense relations and Erdogan, who regards himself as a champion of the Palestinian cause, is a vocal critic of Israeli policies.

Israel and Turkey in 2016 formally ended a six-year diplomatic rift that ensued when 10 Turkish activists were killed in a violent confrontation with Israeli commandos aboard a ship, the Mavi Marmara, that aimed to break the naval blockade on Gaza.

Israel says it maintains the blockade to prevent the import of weapons by the Hamas terror group, which rules the Strip and is sworn to Israel’s destruction.

Netanyahu has been accused by critics of demonizing Arab Israelis, who make up some 17.5 percent of the population, in a bid to boost right-wing turnout for April polls.

He is facing a tough challenge from a centrist political alliance led by former military chief of staff Benny Gantz and ex-finance minister MK Yair Lapid.

After the polls, he will also face a hearing to defend himself against corruption allegations that have dogged his campaign.

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday blasted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “tyrant” who “massacred” Palestinian children, as the two leaders exchanged insults in their latest spat.

Erdogan was responding to comments from Netanyahu slamming the Turkish leader as a “dictator” and “a joke,” after a day of tit-for-tat exchanges between officials in both countries.

Turkey and Israel have tense relations and Erdogan, who regards himself as a champion of the Palestinian cause, is a vocal critic of Israeli policies. The two leaders have exchanged barbs in the past over Gaza.

“Hey Netanyahu, behave yourself. You are a tyrant, you are a tyrant who massacred seven-year-old Palestinian children,” Erdogan told a rally of supporters in the Turkish capital, Ankara.

Erdogan also referred to clashes between Israeli police and Palestinians in Jerusalem, denouncing Israeli security forces for entering the Temple Mount.

“Do not provoke,” he continued, before launching into what could be interpreted as an implicit threat against the Jewish community of Turkey. “Look, we have not oppressed any of the Jews in this country. We have not done anything you did to any synagogues here. Don’t provoke us. We will not fall into this trap.”

The latest exchange came after Netanyahu had called Israel the nation-state of “the Jewish people” only, not all its citizens. That prompted Turkey on Tuesday to accuse the Israeli leader of “blatant racism.”

Netanyahu struck back in a statement from his office later that day. “Turkey’s dictator Erdogan attacks Israel’s democracy while Turkish journalists and judges fill his prisons,” it read. “What a joke!”

Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin was swift to respond on Twitter, accusing Netanyahu of attacking Erdogan “for exposing him” after the premier’s “racist remarks” toward Arabs and Muslims.

“The apartheid state he leads occupies Palestinian lands, kills women and children and imprisons Palestinians in their own land,” he wrote.

Israel and Turkey in 2016 formally ended a six-year diplomatic rift that ensued when 10 Turkish activists were killed in a violent confrontation with Israeli commandos aboard a ship, the Mavi Marmara, that aimed to break the naval blockade on Gaza. Netanyahu has been accused by critics of demonizing Israeli Arabs, who make up some 17.5 percent of the population, in a bid to boost right-wing turnout for April 9 elections.

Tough challenge

After the polls, Netanyahu will also face a hearing to defend himself against corruption allegations that have dogged his campaign.

“That robber at the helm of Israel is currently on trial in his country,” Erdogan also said, referring to the prime minister.

Netanyahu is facing a tough challenge from a centrist political alliance led by former military chief of staff Benny Gantz and ex-finance minister MK Yair Lapid.

Netanyahu’s initial comment had come amid an online spat sparked by firebrand Culture and Sports Minister Miri Regev ahead of the elections and subsequently joined by Israeli Hollywood star Gal Gadot.

Regev, a member of Netanyahu’s right-wing Likud party, had in a TV interview warned voters not to support its main rival because it would ally with Arab Israeli parties — a highly unlikely scenario.

Israeli model and actress Rotem Sela responded on Instagram, asking: “When the hell will someone in this government convey to the public that Israel is a state of all its citizens and that all people were created equal?”

Netanyahu reacted with his own Instagram post, telling Sela: “Israel is not a state of all its citizens.”

“According to the basic nationality law we passed, Israel is the nation-state of the Jewish people — and only it,” he said, referring to a deeply controversial piece of legislation passed by his government last year.

Gadot, star of “Wonder Woman,” jumped to Sela’s defense.

“Love your neighbor as yourself,” Gadot wrote on Instagram late Sunday.

“This isn’t a matter of right or left. Jew or Arab. Secular or religious,” she added. “It’s a matter of dialogue, of dialogue for peace and security and of our tolerance of one towards the other.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham on the Golan Heights, Monday

Syria’s Foreign Ministry blasted U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham on Tuesday for his comments a day earlier in which he vowed to push for U.S. recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, calling them “arrogant” and stressing that Israeli “occupation” will eventually end.

The Syrian ministry’s statement said that according to the United Nations, the Golan Heights is considered Syrian occupied lands.

The South Carolina Republican said Monday that he aimed to change the current U.S.-designation of the Golan as a disputed territory. He spoke during a tour of the frontier with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“The Golan is not disputed. It is in the hands of Israel and will always remain in the hands of Israel,” Graham said from a cliff overlooking Syria. “My goal is to try to explain this to the administration,” he said.

“I come here as an American. I come here to try to figure out what’s best for America. What’s best for America is a safe, secure and prosperous Israel,” he said.

Graham said, “I will go back the U.S. Senate, working with Senator [Ted] Cruz; I will start an effort to recognize the Golan as part of the State of Israel, now and forever.”

He said, “Israel occupied this territory by fighting for its survival. This territory was taken by military force because it was used as a launching point to attack the State of Israel. This territory has a rich Jewish history.

“Strategically, I am standing on one of the most important pieces of ground in the State of Israel.”

Companion resolutions calling on the United States to follow through with this recognition were introduced last month by Cruz, and Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) and Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wisconsin).

Israel annexed the Golan Heights in 1981, a move not recognized by most of the international community.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry said Golan residents are determined to continue the struggle against Israel until liberation.

Iran warns of firm response if Israel acts against its oil shipments

Following PM Netanyahu’s warning that Israel’s navy could act against Iranian oil smuggling, Iran’s defense minister says such intervention would be considered “piracy” • Maritime experts say Iran has used a variety of measures to evade U.S. sanctions.

Iranian Defense Minister Amir Hatami

Iran will respond firmly to any Israeli naval action against its oil shipments, Iran’s defense minister said on Wednesday, in comments that came a week after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Israeli navy could act against Iranian oil smuggling to evade U.S. sanctions.

Iran’s Minister of Defense Amir Hatami was quoted by state news agency IRNA as saying that Tehran had the military capabilities to confront any Israeli intervention, and said the international community would also not accept such action.

Hatami said such confrontation would be considered “piracy” and warned that “if it happens, we will firmly respond.”

“The Iranian armed forces certainly have the capabilities to protect the country’s shipping lines in the best way against any possible threat,” Hatami said.

According to maritime experts, Iran has used a variety of measures to evade sanctions, including changing the names of ships or flag registries, switching off location transponders on ships and conducting ship-to-ship transfers offshore and away from large trade hubs.

Iran’s navy has extended its reach in recent years, dispatching vessels to the Indian Ocean and the Gulf of Aden. They intervened on Friday to repel pirates who attacked an Iranian oil tanker in the Gulf of Aden.

The Israeli navy, whose largest vessels are missile corvettes and a small submarine fleet, is mostly active in the Mediterranean and Red seas.

Iran has one of the world’s biggest tanker fleets in the world.

In November, U.S. Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook called Iranian vessels a “floating liability,” saying the U.S. sanctions would bar them from international insurance markets, making them a risk for ports and canals which allow them access.

Iranian officials have threatened to block the Strait of Hormuz, a major oil shipping route in the Gulf, if the United States attempts to stop the Islamic republic’s oil exports.

Israeli officials: Exposure an embarrassment for Hezbollah

Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan: Syrian President Bashar Assad could lose stability if he allows Hezbollah to entrench itself on the Israeli border

The exposure of a Hezbollah network on the border between Israel and Syria is a “message for Hezbollah, the president of Syria, and the entire international community,” Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan said Wednesday.

Speaking to Army Radio, Erdan said that a few months ago, Israel had launched an operation to eradicate Hezbollah’s cross-border tunnels in northern Israel and that Syrian President Bashar Assad “could lose stability in Syria if he allows Hezbollah to entrench itself on the Israeli border.”

Erdan went on to say that “the legitimacy of the Israeli strikes in Syria is part of its coordination with Russia. For Hezbollah, this is not a time at which it wants a conflict with Israel. Our battle against them is being waged diplomatically and in people’s minds.”

“Today, we presented the world with [Hezbollah’s] involvement in terrorism on the Israeli border. That pushes Hezbollah into embarrassment and silence, not toward a conflict with us. If we get into a conflict, the residents of Lebanon and Syria will pay the price. They [Hezbollah] are the ones who will have to explain themselves to the international community,” Erdan said.

Strategic Affairs Minister Yisrael Katz addressed the exposure of the Hezbollah network in an interview to Kan radio.

“The organization there began once the Syrian civil war was mostly over. We are waging an ongoing battle against attempts by Iran and Hezbollah to gain a foothold in Syria and establish a terrorist front against Israel in the Golan Heights. We will not hesitate to take any action necessary to prevent threats,” Katz said.

Yisrael Beytenu leader and former Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said in a tweet: “A meal for the IDF for its intelligence work in the North, and shame on the government and the cabinet for its ineffectiveness in the South.”

Former GOC Northern Command Maj. Gen. (res.) Amiram Levin told Kan Radio that the news about the Hezbollah organization on the border was “a tempest in a teapot. It looks like the IDF is being used to set a political agenda. There’s nothing new here. Hezbollah tried to establish itself and do all sort of things. There is nothing new and no new threat here.”

MK Ofer Shelah (Blue and White), a member of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, said, “Hezbollah’s foothold on the Golan Heights is more proof of [Prime Minister] Netanyahu’s political failure. The IDF is fighting a successful battle against Iran, but without a diplomatic presence, [Russian President] Putin is arranging things in Syria with Iran and its allies, not with us. In the north, like the south, Bibi is afraid to take the offense and we are paying the price.”

IDF: Clandestine Hezbollah unit operating on Golan

A secret Hezbollah unit, which it calls “the Golan file,” has been building a terrorist network near the Israeli-Syrian border on the Golan Heights, the IDF revealed on Wednesday.

At this stage, the unit focuses primarily on gathering intelligence on the IDF, but intelligence officials say it could also carry out operations against Israel in the future.

The network includes dozens of operatives and is headed by Ali Mussa Daqduq, who joined Hezbollah in 1983 and served in a number of operational positions in southern Lebanon during the IDF presence in the area, as well as other parts of the Middle East.

In Iraq, Daqduq, also known as Abu Hassin Sajd, was imprisoned by American forces after an operation he commanded led to the kidnapping and execution of five American soldiers. Daqduq’s fate had vexed American officials after they were forced to hand him over to Baghdad after failing to secure a custody deal ahead of the U.S. military’s withdrawal from the country.

At the time, the White House said it had received assurances from Baghdad that Daqduq would be tried for allegedly orchestrating the 2007 kidnapping. But an Iraqi court cleared him of the charges, citing a lack of evidence.

Last summer Daqduq was sent by Hezbollah to Syria to establish the “Golan file.”

According to Israeli intelligence officials, Daqduq’s unit has been so heavily compartmentalized that even the Assad regime in Syria, and even many elements within Hezbollah itself, were unaware of its existence.

The hope in the IDF is that exposing the unit’s existence will lead the Damascus regime to terminate its activities in Syria.

This is not Hezbollah’s first attempt at establishing a terrorist network on the Golan Heights. In May of 2013, Syrian President Bashar Assad opened the Golan frontier to Hezbollah to act against Israel, in an effort to divert attention from raging Syrian civil war. Consequently, the Shiite terrorist group initiated campaigns to build terrorist networks in the area, and by 2015 had carried out several terrorist attacks against Israeli forces. According to foreign reports, the men tasked with spearheading these operations, Samir Kuntar and Jihad Mughniyeh, were both assassinated by Israel.

With the end of the civil war in Syria and the return of Assad’s forces to the Golan frontier, Hezbollah had lost its legitimacy to maintain a presence there. The organization’s leadership, however, decided to establish the secret unit regardless, with better operational capabilities than before, to act against Israel when ordered.

The assessment within the IDF is that the unit’s operatives, many of whom formerly served under Kuntar and Mughniyeh and live in villages near the Israel border, are well equipped and could try transferring additional weapons from Lebanon or use Iranian stockpiles already in Syria.

As stated, the Syrian president was unaware of the unit’s existence until now, and IDF officials believe he will view it unfavorably, to say the least, as it undermines his authority.

It is important to note that currently there are no concrete warnings of terrorist attacks emanating from the Golan Heights frontier, and one of the main reasons the IDF chose to expose the unit’s existence now was to nip the threat in its infancy.

“We are revealing the [terrorist] infrastructure] in such a manner that will knock [Hezbollah] off its chair,” a senior IDF officer said.

The IDF’s exposure of Hizballah’s Golan unit ties in with US plans to deal with pro-Iranian militias around Iraqi-Syrian border – DEBKAfile

March 13, 2019

Source: The IDF’s exposure of Hizballah’s Golan unit ties in with US plans to deal with pro-Iranian militias around Iraqi-Syrian border – DEBKAfile

Israel’s military spokesman Wednesday, March 13, disclosed that Hizballah had planted a terrorist unit on the Syrian Golan for conducting attacks on Israel. The “Golan file” was discovered by the IDF Northern Command intelligence arm.

It was so secret that Syria’s President Bashar Assad was not informed, said the statement. The unit under the command of Ali Musa Daqduq is said to defer directly to Hizballah chief Hassan Nasrallah. IDF Col. Amit Fischer, head of the Bashan division and the Golan sector, reported that the Hizballah unit is still getting organized and is meanwhile engaged in intelligence-gathering on Israeli troop deployments and mapping out routes and targets.
DEBKAfile assumes that the IDF high command had its own reasons for making this disclosure at this time since it is not new. Hizballah has never paused in its attempts to establish terrorist structures on the Syrian Golan with a view to opening a second front against Israel if attacked. Its presence has been consistently covered by DEBKAfile for eight months, ever last July, when the IDF allowed Syrian army units to take over rebel-held regions opposite Israel’s Golan border. Our military sources revealed at the time that Hizballah fighters were integrated in the Syrian units, disguised in Syrian army uniforms, and setting up observation posts and terrorist teams opposite IDF positions. It was those Hizballah posts near Quneitra and the Syrian Druze village of Al Khader that Israel tanks shelled in early February.

Our analysts offer some explanation for the IDF’s “revelations” at this time.
March 13 marks two months since Israel wound up its “Operation Northern Shield” for eliminating Hizballah’s cross-border tunnels from Lebanon, an operation which, incidentally, had little effect on the balance of strength between Israel and Hizballah.

Underlining the Hizballah threat from southwestern Syria will no doubt contribute to the campaign launched by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and US Senators Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz for gaining congressional recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan.
But there is another, military, factor at work: US forces in Syria and Iraq are gearing up for action against the Iraqi-Shiite militia concentrations swarming through western Iraq and eastern Syria. On March 9, this site exclusively reported US reinforcements streaming to the front on both sides of the border.

Of especial interest are the three elements left out of the IDF disclosure. We list them below:

  1. Background is lacking on Ali Musa Daqduq, commander of the Hizballah’s “Golan file” unit.
  2. The two overseers of the operation, Iran and its Middle East commander, Al Qods Chief Gen. Qassem Soleimani, don’t rate a mention.

3. Neither does the Iraqi Shiite militia, Asaib Ahl al-Haq (the Khazali Network), which is closely allied to the Lebanese Hizballah and on March 7 issued a “call for resistance against the US presence in the region.” Daqduq has close ties with this militia and has a history with its commander Qais al-Khazali.
Daduq himself is a Lebanese Shiite who was employed as a senior Hizballah operational activist in Lebanon from 1983. In May 2006, he was sent to Tehran to assist the Revolutionary Guards Al Qods external terrorist arm train and organize the Iraqi Shiite militias for battle against the US and its coalition allies.
After that, he continued to work closely with Gen. Soleimani in the role of adviser to the Khazali Network. Daqduq took part in the Shiite militia’s operations in southern Iraq under orders from Soleimani. One of them took place on Jan. 20, 2007 against the regional coordination command in Karbala, in which four American soldiers were kidnapped and murdered.
Taking all this information into account, the Golan operation uncovered by the Israeli military on March 13 should be counted as an Iranian-Shiite-Hizballah project with three notorious commanders, Iran’s Qassem Soleimani, Iraq’s Qais al-Khazali and Lebanon’s Hassan Nasrallah.

Iran’s play for Iraqi influence is all about access to Israel

March 12, 2019

Source: Iran’s play for Iraqi influence is all about access to Israel

The rise of Shia Muslims in Iraq has helped secure more influence for Iran in the rebuilding Middle Eastern nation. As the break from American influences continues in Iraq, their former enemies in Iran are making a play to get closer to the country, eventually make it a full blown ally, and have more direct access to their enemies in Israel.

This is the short- and long-term goal of nearly everything Iran has been doing for the past decade. They’ve expanded their influence in Syria, Lebanon, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip. Getting a foothold in Iraq would accelerate their plans greatly as they attempt to fill voids the United States has left since the end of the Iraq war.

It was bound to happen. We cannot stay entrenched in the Middle East indefinitely and the hard press by both Iran and Russia to expand their influence in the region is impossible to stave off without our presence. Israel’s been living in relative security, but it’s been on borrowed time. Just as they knew the United States’ mission there was unsustainable, so too have they been preparing for this inevitability.

Meanwhile, Iran is hoping to get the footholds they desire at a faster pace than Israel can prepare for them. This may end up working; if Israel is forced to fight a multi-front war with Iran, they may not have the military might to sustain. The specter of the United States will always loom over the region, but it’s conceivable that a future President might not be quick enough to respond to Israel’s calls for help, or may choose to ignore them altogether.

This is one of the reasons the push towards antisemitism in the United States is so appalling. Normalized antisemitism isn’t really about harming Jews in America. It’s about recreating the rift that started with President Obama and that could grow once again with a future President who shares the growing hatred for Israel within the Democratic Party.

Iraq is a pawn in the Middle East. We rightly chose to stop playing with them, but one can argue our presence their ended up harming them to the point that Iran can make a stronger move now. All of this is bad for Israel. This situation must be monitored.
