   From the article: “If we follow the current Democrat arguments to their logical conclusion, we now see liberals shifted to demanding a war against Russia, because Turkey via Erdogan has gone full Islamist and is also a NATO ‘ally’.”

   I was particularly struck by this article. I found it Interesting, yet chilling. It gets to heart of the Trump personna with some insight into his impact on the leftists. What say you Joop? Dan? – LS

   The Democrat position seems to have at least two prongs: What if Russia attacks NATO allies in the Baltics and what if she attacks Turkey.

   As to the Baltics, Trump said

   TRUMP: I don’t want to tell you what I’d do because I don’t want Putin to know what I’d do. I have a serious chance of becoming president and I’m not like Obama, that every time they send some troops into Iraq or anyplace else, he has a news conference to announce it.

   SANGER: They are NATO members, and we are treaty-obligated ——

   TRUMP: We have many NATO members that aren’t paying their bills.

   SANGER: That’s true, but we are treaty-obligated under NATO, forget the bills part.

   TRUMP: You can’t forget the bills. They have an obligation to make payments. Many NATO nations are not making payments, are not making what they’re supposed to make. That’s a big thing. You can’t say forget that.

   It seems reasonable to speculate that Trump’s comment about not wanting to show his hand also applies to an attack on Turkey. In addition, Trump may feel that the human rights situation there is worse than in Russia. If so, I think he is correct and it is rapidly getting worse. Has Turkey met its financial obligations to NATO? I don’t know. In any event, I have seen no signs that Russia intends to attack Turkey militarily, except perhaps in a limited response if Turkey shoots down more Russian aircraft.

   As to the current Democrat position on going to war in response to Russia’s moves in the Baltic or Turkey, do they propose to send more U.S. troops, or just more U.S. money and equipment?

           Lets hope that the USA under obama will not class with Russia, let hope we still have time That Trump can take over , Under Trump the whole narrative about Russia will change .

           We are witnessing history in the make , I wanna see THE USA back on their Honorable feet again , THAT will be A BLESSING for the whole world .

           Honor is still alive and well in the USA. Where it’s missing is on Capital Hill. Like Trump said, you only get real change if you change the politicians responsible for the status quo. We obviously have our work cut out for us.
