(More fake news from an Obama hold-over? — DM)

Thousands pray at the Western Wall on Jerusalem Day.

But the clearly biased remark was not verified by a spokesperson for the White House, who told JewishPress.com, “That is not the position of this administration.”

*********************************

A spokesperson for the White House told JewishPress.com late Monday night that comments by a Trump administration official earlier in the day about the status of the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem were unauthorized.

According to a report broadcast Monday by Israel’s Channel 2 television news, Israeli organizers responsible for building the itinerary for U.S. President Donald Trump were rudely told by a “senior U.S. administration official” that the Western Wall is “not in your territory — it’s part of the West Bank.”

But the clearly biased remark was not verified by a spokesperson for the White House, who told JewishPress.com, “That is not the position of this administration.”

The Western Wall, also known in Hebrew as the Kotel, is the retaining wall of the Second Holy Jewish Temple that stood in ancient Jerusalem. It is one of Judaism’s holiest sites, the other being the nearby Temple Mount, the site where both the First and Second Holy Temples once stood, and believed to be the location of the Temples’ Holy of Holies.

Muslims built the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque in the Temple Mount compound centuries after the destruction of the Second Temple, upon their having captured Jerusalem.

President Trump will be in Israel for a two-day visit from May 22-23, during which time Israel will celebrate the reunification of her ancient eternal capital, Jerusalem.

Its about live or death of the USA !

If president Trump and his administration are not able or not willing to take a clear and positive stand towards Israel – if the US pres./ gov. further making “business” with arch terrorist / mass murderer Abbas and his terror organisation : This will finally kill the USA.

“He who curses Israel, he will be cursed !”

After 8yrs of the BHO Israel hating /fighthing gov. – there is no more room for further Israel fighting by US gov. :

Either this gov. does it right NOW or the USA is history soon !

    • Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself), as well as some Republicans, are barraging President Trump with great quantities of putrid fecal matter daily. There have been many “leaks” from former (Obama administration) officials and apparently some members of the Trump administration. The swamp needs to be drained; that takes time. President Trump is doing as well as any human so burdened could while attending to his presidential duties.

As to President Trump’s position on Israel, the noises made by an unidentified “senior U.S. administration official” (aka “travel advisor” or whatever) were unauthorized and did not reflect the position of the Trump administration, as the article makes clear.

Even before the White House statement, I had doubts about those noises when I read of Ambassador Friedman’s visit to the Western Wall to pray immediately upon arrival in Israel. It occurred to me then that if the remarks had reflected President Trump’s views, Ambassador Friedman would not have made the visit. In all probability, he would not have been offered his current position and, had it been offered, would have declined it.

As to moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, we will see what happens. My view is that it will be moved, soon. President Trump is neither uninformed nor stupid and must by now realized that there is no “peace process” to endanger. He has already made demands that Palestinian Authority incitement of Palestinians to terrorize Israeli Jews (the “culture of peace”) and the payment of generous stipends to Palestine “heroes” in Israeli jails cease. Abbas has not honored and will not honor those demands; to do so would be suicidal, politically and possibly physically as well. Were country-wide PA elections to be held today, a Hamas candidate would likely replace Abbas even though he has not met President Trump’s modest demands. Hamas is even less of a “peace partner” than the current PA.

With no “peace process” to endanger, there is no reason why President Trump should not authorize the embassy move to Jerusalem

Saudi could be a reason , the big supporter of the petro dollar !

And this moving to Jerusalem is much bigger than the palestinians , it concerns the whole islamic world .

        • “And this moving to Jerusalem is much bigger than the palestinians, it concerns the whole islamic world .”

All the more reason to move the embassy to Jerusalem. During the Obama administration, America kowtowed to the “whole Islamic world”, particularly Iran but not Egypt. As President Reject Obama said, “elections have consequences.”

      • Well said. Thank you, Dan.

    • 5440latitude Says:

Right. Ain’t gonna happen in any of our lifetimes. What the gang at the wall need to do is go to the other side of said wall and have a good look: AHORA RENTANDO!

How’s that for a little fresh air on this tired site?
