False online rumors suggests Saudi prince to visit Israel

In an unprecedented overture, Saudi Arabian prince and wealthy media tycoon Talal Bin Waleed announced Thursday that he is planning a seven-day-trip to the Jewish State and urged all the Arab nations in the region to “strive for a more peaceful, prosperous and homogenous Middle East,” according to Saudi Arabian news media.

“All my Muslim brothers and sisters must understand that it became a moral imperative for all inhabitants of war-torn Middle-East, namely Arabs, to desist their absurd hostility toward Jewish people,”  Okaz reported the prince saying, an Arabic-language Saudi news agency.

“My sovereign, King Salman has instructed me to open a direct dialogue with Israel’s intellectual (community), building amicable ties with our Israeli neighbors,” Bin Waleed added.

Bin Waleed also mentioned in his statements that he hopes his visit would herald a new beginning in “peace and fraternity” between Israel and its Arab neighbors, stressing the importance of fostering better relations between each other’s military and intelligence communities.

The Saudi prince said that he plans to pray at the Al-Aksa mosque located on top of the Temple Mount when he visits Jerusalem’s old city, the holiest site in Judaism and the third holiest site in Islam.

It was not clear when the Saudi prince would embark on his visit to Israel.

Although the two are considered to be historic enemies, with Saudi Arabia refusing to recognize the Jewish State’s right to exist, they never-the-less have engaged in a campaign of clandestine diplomacy in an effort to thwart Iran’s growing influence in the Middle East.

In fact, Israel and Saudi Arabia have held five secret meetings
since the beginning of 2014 to discuss the common threat the Islamic Republic posses to the region, it was revealed for the first time in early June at the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington, according to Bloomberg.

The five bilateral meetings over the last 17 months occurred in India, Italy and the Czech Republic.

but ALL the moslime brothers where not so enthusiastic by the existence of a Jewish democratic free state called Israel .( Israel gave them time after time concessions )
But there are movements on that side, there is a slight changing in attitude but it will take time , a lot of time.

          • It happens Joop. We try to stay on the cutting edge of the news and get misled by even the most reliable of sources.

Here’s a similar example of an article that can mislead:
            http://www.timesofisrael.com/lapid-quoted-bogus-saudi-pro-israel-statement-as-fact/#!

“AWD News appears particularly creative when it comes to Saudi-Israeli relations.”

I, myself, verify more often after getting burned by a bogus website with a bullshit article not too long ago.

          • Peter Hofman's avatar joopklepzeiker Says:

I know , once in a while you get burned .

But JP is not a bogus website .

correct, but i didn’t say that you say that .

It’s true that AWD News is based in Dubai.
I lives there for 22 months, and I know it for a fact.

Not sure if the Saudi Prince said what is quoted in this article, but what I can assure here with 100% of confidence is that almost everybody in Dubai, both locals and foreigners, know that it’s because of Dubai, and through Dubai (and Abu Dhabi) that huge amounts of money are laundered to defend terrorist organizations like the Islamic State.
In all the conversations I’ve had with people there (thank God those days are over), not one, NOT EVEN ONE of them, showed any support for Israel or the Jewish state.
It’s true that Dubai is more westernized than other arab countries, but don’t get them wrong.
Their loyalty is with other muslims and with the Islamic religion.

Having said this, I personally think that a collaboration exists (secretly, behind close doors) between Israel’s intelligence community, and Saudi Arabia one.
The main reason is the threat from Iran.
Actually, the internet is full of information about the possible route that Israel jet fighters might take, flying over Saudi territory, en route to Iran, should the possibility of a strike arises.
