Unconfirmed: Huge explosion kills hundreds in central Tehran, DEBKAfile, May 24, 2015

(Update: DEBKAfile has deleted the post, which it had acknowledged had not been confirmed, suggesting that nothing of interest happened.– DM)

According to first unconfirmed reports, central Tehran was hit Sunday night with massive blasts leaving many hundreds of people dead. Witnesses report heavy Revolutionary Guards and Basij forces speeding to the area. Thee are also reports of explosions in the southern Iranian town of Isfahan – also unconfirmed.

    Well, gee whiz. How is it that (as of 02:31 Eastern Daylight), any and all URLs pointing to the purported Debka report come up with

    We are sorry, but the page you requested could not be found.

    Might it be that the report falls into that 20% category Giora Shamis and Diane Shalem say is untrue? Or should it be described in Nix-speak, or as Ziegler used to say, “inoperative?”

    Perhaps Nixon, Shamis, and Shalem are simply jerking our chains, eh?

    The fact that Debka deleted the post could mean 2 things.

    1) Your theory that nothing of interest happened

    2) A coverup is afoot!

    If #1 is true, it would be interesting to know how they had so many details to put into the original post (which remained on the site for many hours)
