I say we give his change of attitude, as evinced by his UN speech the benefit of the doubt.
We all know he allowed this situation to develop.
It would appear he now recognizes that himself.
As late and as hesitant as it is, his stand against Islamic extremism is the ONLY one in this cowardly and self -interested world “community.”

JW – In his speech he said: “Islam teaches peace.” This is inaccurate and you know it amd yet you praise him.
Does Obama really think that we have not read the Koran, both the peaceful Meccan and the violent Medina verses which abrogate the Meccan ones?

Besides, his belated and (only against ISIS apart from al Qaeda) stand against Islamic extremism is not the only example in the world community. While Obama continues to support the Muslim Brotherhood it is only Israel who is really figting Islamic extremism

You may be right, but there’s a chance you’re not.
I ignore the Islam PC platitudes. It’s the only viable public position to take. Nothing is gained and a lot is lost by diplomatically reviling “Islam.”
Radical Islam is an ideology which uses Islam as its justification. The same way that Bolshevism used socialism to justify totalitarianism.
Until he proves otherwise, Obama should be supported in his attacks on extremists.

Obama came under scrutiny yesterday after the Washington Free Beacon reported on his commendation of controversial cleric Sheikh Abdallah Bin Bayyah, who the president referred to as a moderate Muslim capable of helping to combat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’s (ISIL or ISIS) extremist ideology.
Critics noted that the cleric endorsed a 2004 fatwa advocating for the killing of U.S. soldiers in Iraq and has called “for the death of Jews,” according to terrorism analyst Patrick Poole.
Additionally, Bin Bayyah has served as the vice president of a Muslim scholars group that has reportedly endorsed Hamas and that was founded by a radical Muslim Brotherhood leader who has called “for the death of Jews and Americans,” according to multiple reports.

Agreed, there are millions of Muslims that are decent people, the silent majority if you will. That, however is the problem, by being silent the world doesn’t know if they’re silent out of fear or tacit agreement with the radicals.

I know you don’t live here in US but we are 6 weeks out from an election. Any actions taken in the months of September and October prior to mid-terms or a general election are viewed with the highest of cynicism.
Moreover, these strikes on Syria were NOT approved by Congress as required by the Constitution, NOR do they appear to be a serious effort to defeat the enemy.
A serious effort against any Islamic terror group means large number of forces on the ground, NOT missiles launched into empty buildings in the middle of the night.

Although this is not a bombing video, when I watch them, I look for the secondary explosions. Many clearly show this. If the buildings are empty, at least we destroyed some of their munitions.
