    JW,
    You know what’s funny?

When I turn on the supposedly “conservative” Foxnews channel and watch them talk about the Iran deal for 20 minutes or so (after they had spent all week ignoring the talks until the deal), all the commentators seem to think Israel is just going to be bullied by Hussein and allow Iran to go nuclear.

They aren’t so naive as to buy the BS that this deal will stop Iran’s nuclear progress, but they all seem to share the appeasement mindset that a nuclear Iran is better than war. And they seem to think that Netanyahu either shares that belief or can’t possibly act without a green light from the corrupt US regime.

Are the TV commentators in Israel just as bad?

  2. Mark's avatar Mark Says:

The other funny thing about the commentary is they kept talking about how close war was without this deal.

And I was like WTF? If war was so close, how come they were ignoring Iran on the channel all week long?

  3. Mark's avatar Mark Says:

Either these TV commentators (by thinking Netanyahu won’t stop Iran) are really dumb, or they are deluding themselves in wishful thinking, or they are actively trying to mislead the public. It’s hard to tell which of the 3.

  4. Mark's avatar Mark Says:

Honestly I think there’s been a big leftward lurch on Foxnews since the Bush years. They used to take Iran a lot more seriously than they do now.

  5. I’m beginning to think the urgency of getting a deal signed with Iran was Obama’s way to head off an impending attack by Israel, or just another delay tactic. Note that this agreement speaks about a six month trial period to test Iran’s compliance….or just a six month delay for Israel.

”They dont know who they are fighting!” Driven by the spirit of the Nazis, Israels enemies ( around the globe…) became blind to the fact that he who fights Israel is actually fighting the one and only God – the God of Israel. Checking history / the jewish scriptures everybody can see that to go against the God of Israel and his firstborn Israel is sUicidal ! Ask Pharao, ask Haman, ask Hitler, ask
Chavez……..HE WHO WATCHES OVER ISRAEL NEVER SLEEPS !

  7. Man, what happened to the French pressure? I knew my own government with Hague leading the negotiations wouldn’t do much.

Well now its simple. It always has been the same two options all along.

    1. Contain Iran
    2. Strike Iran

I hate to think number 1 is now in the driving seat.

    • Louisiana Steve's avatar Louisiana Steve Says:

That’s a good question DT. Either France caved or something was inserted in the agreement to get them on board. Either way, we probably will never know.

Friends, the white king has just been laid down, the game is over and lost. Time to move on and down personal matters. What happens to Israel from this point on, only future historians will know.

One if by land, two if by sea….

We just saw that Obama has threatened to warn Iran if Israeli planes head to Iran.

    https://warsclerotic.wordpress.com/2013/11/24/officals-israelis-in-secret-trip-to-inspect-saudi-bases-could-be-used-as-staging-ground-for-strikes-against-iran/

Again, this makes clear that any Israeli mobilization will be seen by the US and Russia and they will tip off Iran with the details. Military theorist Carl von Clausewitz said surprise is much easier in tactics, small scale operations, than in strategy, large scale operations.

Only an EMP can disable Iran without warning because it is just one missile that requires no mobilization Obama can see and warn Iran about. It’s a small operation with a big punch. As you can see from this video below, the altitude of detonation of an EMP determines the radius of its effect. If a blast occurs 30 miles up, it knocks out power and computers only over an area with a 480 mile radius. It all depends on the line-of-sight to the horizon. So the lower the detonation, the more surgical the strike.

If an EMP were set off near Tehran, only a few miles up, Tehran would be shut down for months without destroying the whole country. But since Iran is such a centralized nation, shutting down Tehran would massively paralyze the country and make subsequent Israeli bombing sorties against all nuclear sites a cakewalk. Israel would be able to bomb Iran at leisure and at will for as long as needed. There is no warning with an EMP because it’s just one missile. Obama has been leaking to Iran for ages. Everybody knows he’s going to keep on doing it. Therefore the only way to start the war is with an EMP. The problem is Netanyahu has no guts to use an EMP.

    Bibi caves to Obama

After Obama kept Bibi in the dark, all of a sudden he calls Bibi and says he’ll be consulted. Bibi like a little toady agrees to be a good little boy and send a team to WORK WITH OBAMA on the next stages of the schmoozer talks with Iran. Meanwhile, Bibi tells the Likud faction that the deal would have been worse without Israeli efforts. Now he’s going to take credit for the deal instead of bombing Iran. So now Bibi is going to go along with Obama because Obama patted him on the head and threw him a bone of consulting with him. Good little boy! Bibi will do anything to be included and loved. Bibi has a spine of jelly and will NEVER bomb Iran.

Wow there seems to be a lot of panic on this thread.

Let’s give Israel a few weeks and see what they do now.

I for one don’t think Netanyahu is bluffing this time.

  11. Mark's avatar Mark Says:

By the way, the next new moon is December 3rd.

That may well be the last chance for Israel to stop Iran.

  12. David's avatar David Says:

It’s not just new moons. There is cloud cover in Iran during the winter months and you can’t bomb then. Delaying now effectively means no bombing until the spring. During that period the Iranians will almost certainly have a bomb. All signs are that Bibi is again going to wait and isn’t going to do Jack spit. Over at Arutz Sheva it was reported that Netanyahu called Bibi, after the deal. One Arutz Sheva reader commented that Bibi already blew it just by taking the call. The reader said he shouldn’t even have taken the call. Obama kept Bibi and the Saudis in the dark for months on this deal and refused to call Bibi. Now, after screwing Israel to the bedpost he calls him and says “Hi! I’m going to consult you!” So Bibi and Obama swap pleasantries about stopping Iran together blah blah, same crap we’ve heard for ages. Now everyone is falling in line saying the deal isn’t so bad and they will go along, the Saudis, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait. They wouldn’t be sucking up like that if they thought Netanyahu had any cojones to take action. THEY don’t think Bibi’s going to do it. So they’ve got their finger in the wind, can tell which way the wind is blowing, so they’re all falling in line. Every time Bibi talks tough he backs off within days. How is this time any different from all the OTHER times he should have bombed Iran? He should have bombed Iran AGES ago. Bibi spends so much time hiding the truth that he has forgotten where he put it. You watch. In a few weeks he will actually have TALKED HIMSELF INTO thinking the deal isn’t so bad, you know what, come to think of it, as a matter of fact! Whoda thunk!

  13. Mark's avatar Mark Says:

Yes, I’ve said clearly on this blog several times now that a military operation would almost certainly happen during the Spring or Fall due to weather conditions, and most likely close to a new moon.

We have one last new moon remaining in the Fall Season.

I still see a mixture of pessimism and perhaps even a few on here who support the enemy side in this war.

But to the friends on here who support Israel, if Netanyahu is going to act in a day or 3 days or a week, wouldn’t the proper course of action now be to continue playing along with the Hussein regime until the final minute, as corrupt as they are?

You don’t expect Netanyahu to stand in front of a microphone and announce to the world he will strike Iran in 72 hours, do you?

Correct. IF he is going to act.

Something’s fishy with this whole deal. Everyone is rolling over to accept it. Even John ‘Bomb bomb bomb bomb-bomb Iran’ McCain is quiet. Must be something under the table. Something, I fear, we will never know.

Relax. Let Iran get real comfortable and they will make some mistakes, maybe even showing some secret locations to Israeli intelligence. The Sunni states and Israel will now assume that America has not left the Middle East, but is in the process of switching sides. It is a now a new world in the Middle East and everyone has to get adjusted to the new lighting. Just a few minutes ago it was announce that America is releasing not 4-5 billion in dollars to Iran, but 8 billion. Just the beginning.
Israel and the Sunni nations need some time to militarily coordinate themselves in this new world. They need at least 90 to 120 days to plan, if not more. April, perhaps. Remember, in any attack on Iran it will be absolutely necessary to blind every American radar in the Middle East. If America is not an ally, then its radar facilities must be turned off (and that is just for starters). The Sunnis surely want to make sure that Shiite Iran will not threaten them for a long, long time. Most importantly, I predict that 50 years from now historians will view the signing of this agreement with Iran as a turning point in Wahhabi theology. “Necessity is the mother of invention” and necessity forces a new Wahhabi look at the world. It’s about freakin time.

What a sad state of affairs. The US (and certainly some of its presidents) had been mildly indifferent and dismissive of Israel in the past (at times) – but now to be regarded as an enemy by Israel…

The blind leftist and democrat party voters may have voted themselves (and the rest of us) into World War 3 by voting in this Manchurian candidate known as Obama.

It’s no longer a question of ‘if’ nukes will fly- but WHEN.
