I have been doing this site now for over four years. When I began, I believed that the war would be happening in a matter of weeks, or at most months.
Since then, things have come to a “crunch” at least another four times, making it impossible for me to end my work
And work it is… To keep the site relevant requires updating a minimum of three times a day. Sometimes it requires continuous updating.
Over the years, the viewership has grown exponentially. Today, the site averages over 2,000 viewers per day. When things heat up, the viewership jumps to over 13,000.
The presence of so many viewers adds to the difficulty of my ending the site and returning to a private social and financial.life
Over a year ago, I made an appeal for donations from readers to help defray the costs of keeping the site running. I received a little over $3,000 for which I was very grateful. However that sum can hardly cover the work that has been involved for four years.
Today I am appealing again. This time both to recompense me for some of the thousands of hours I have put in on this site as well as reassure myself that the site is actually really appreciated by the many viewers.
My friends, I need both these supports to keep going. I am exhausted from the nonstop strain of the work as well as the necessity of having to “live” in the constant anxiety that the topic engenders.

I’ve just watched your video for the first time and was astonished by both your age and your resemblance to Woody Allen, no offence intended sir.
Normally I only donate to the likes of Wateraid, Save the Children, Sense (deaf & blind), etc, but the erudition I’ve received from your sight (sic) has to be worth at least this tuition fee and although I cannot guarantee a next payment, I will endeavour to assist dimensionally so that your site can perpetuate.

thank you for providing this information about the Israel/iran crisis over the years. A day does not go by without me going to this site.I am not jewish but I support and admire Israel.I made a small donation I hope it helps.

Sadly, the response has been underwhelming so far, to say the least.
If by tomorrow things haven’t changed I will be posting a notice that the site will be going dark on the 12th.

Really sad to hear that JW. I ran my own blog years ago called ‘Fried Green Blog’. It was political as well. Wrote all my own articles and it became quite tedious and took a lot of time. I fully understand your position.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought about offering to host your site on my in-house server for free. But then, I checked and from here in the USA wordpress hosting is already offered free of charge on their mother website, so I assume you’re using the same free plan. Anyway, I guess it’s the cost of time more than anything and when you get to be our age, there simply isn’t enough left to go around.
It’s a real pleasure interacting with you and your community here online. You did a fine job keeping us informed and I appreciate that very much. I feel I made a lot of friends here. In any event, keep the donation. Lord only knows you worked your a$$ off already for it.
p.s.- My wife says you’re a heck of a lot better looking than Woody Allen. 😎

Sadly one more contribution won’t make a difference. Unless there’s a groundswell, it’s clear to me that it’s no longer worth continuing the site.
I’ll post to that effect tomorrow. Scheduled shutdown for Friday the 11th.

I’m very sad to hear that.
I understand. Running a site like this is a fulltime job. Scanning the media and other sources for reports and posting them in the right format, monitoring the comments and being yourself part of the discussion on a daily basis. This and the emotional stress of the topic itself takes a toll.
I understand and respect your decision however you may decide.
I will miss you and many other great guys posting here and I hope that somehow, somewhere we all meet again, if only in the virtual world of the internet.

I agree with every word. Artaxes is right. Even with these virtual ”box matches” here, it was – and still is – pure gold fun. We all have learned something here and I hope we’ll continue to do so.

Your blog is usually the first one I check every day, and then I check it again several times a day.
I read many other blogs but none do what you do and none have your ( our ) particular interest and point of view.
I still have steam coming out of my ears over what happened, and is still happening, to Rhodesia and now I see the same nefarious forces at work trying to do the same thing to Israel.
Your blog is providing a very valuable service to anyone who want’s to find a way to see Israel’s enemies defeated.
