Israel faces retaliation if U.S. attacks Syria: Iran military | News , Middle East | THE DAILY STAR.

( Where’s the international community’s condemnation of this threat against a country not involved in any hostilities?  Where’s anyone in the press asking this question?  Whoops, sorry… I almost forgot.  NOBODY in world governments or media gives a shit about Jews.  As long as us Jews remember that disgusting fact, we might survive.  – JW )

BEIRUT: Israel will face retaliation if the United States launches a military strike against Syria, a senior Iranian military official warned, Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency reported Saturday.

“Israel will be hit by retaliatory attacks if the United States launches an offensive on Syria since it [the Jewish state] is the first instigator in attacking [Syria],” Iranian Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Hassan Firouzabadi said.

Iran staunchly backs the regime in Damascus and is Hezbollah’s leading supporter in the region.

Firouzabadi accused Israel of spearheading efforts to drag Washington into a war with the government in Damascus.

The U.S. has stepped up its war rhetoric against Damascus after accusing President Bashar Assad’s regime of using chemical weapons earlier this month against opposition strongholds outside Damascus.

The Syrian government has strongly denied the accusations but vowed to counter any act of aggression against the country.

The Iranian military’s top brass also accused Washington of siding with Al-Qaeda affiliates in Syria, warning of consequences in case of a U.S. strike against the war-torn country.

“The U.S., which has invaded countries in the region under the big lie of battling Al-Qaeda following the September 11 [2001 attacks], is now fighting in favor of Al-Qaeda in Syria,” the Iranian general said.

Firouzabadi also warned the U.S. war rhetoric could bring about massive problems for other powers.

“Regional countries backing this cruel war will suffer serious losses,” he said.

  3. You are wrong this time Joseph. Millions of Christians care about Israel and love you. The problem is only, we are not the most influential people. But who knows if we are not the little unknown Hadassa in the book of Ester, born for a time like this. When Haman (Iran) not only wants to destroy the Saturday people but also the Sunday people Ahaveros (Obama) will destroy Iran

Not true Joe. Many of us non Jews see you as a proud brave people who deserve to be loved and respected as a valued member of the human community. We post here because we care. Sometimes our views may seem harsh but manly out of frustration of the complexity of things. Many of us like you Joe may not be deeply religious, but nonetheless pray for your well being!

What you said about the governments and media not caring about the jews is the raw truth. But as long as the jews know this-they will survive and not be goaded to their destruction as it happened not too long ago,There is nothing better than to have one’s feet well placed on the ground and face the harsh reality. One will be better off for it..

  5. US action is no longer imminent, it has been pushed back if not cancelled. Obama to speak in less than an hour.

Really? Isn’t that marvelous that the Iranian military is, in fact, inviting us to make dust of their sorry facilities? To those fouls I’ll say this:

This is the year 2013. Its not 1991. Back in those days, the Israeli PM Yitzhak Shamir restrain the IDF for retailing against Saddam Hussein Scud missiles attack on Israel, because he was asked by Bush – the father – to sit back and let the US led coalition to do the job. Should Israel acted then, it was a high probability that the Western Arab countries coalition against Iraq might be falling apart.
Even then, the coalition stop short from terminating the job, which was restarted fresh in 2003.

Today, my dears in Tehran, we have a completely different story.
First, we have Obama and not Bush – the father, for a start. You want more? You’ll get more. There is no coalition to fall apart, because there isn’t any coalition. If – I F – the US would operate straight in Iran, then, kiddies, you might have a point. We should take care, in that case, of Hezbollah, while the US would take care of their big brother. But, kiddies, those are fantasies. Nobody right now – but Israel – is ready to invite the Iranians to a deadly tango.
And you, the Iranians, are sending dance invitations to Israel? Are you nuts? In no way should Israel been ”understanding” when missiles will start to fall here, and Israel wont be understanding. Iran will lose its nuclear assets, let be no doubt about that. Its a life time ”occasion” and the IDF wont miss that. Too long the Israeli Army is preparing itself for an exactly such a situation. By the way, this is the reason the show didn’t start till now. The Brits didn’t want to be those who triggered and took part in a giants battle here, in the middle east, between Israel and Iran. Because this is what its all about. It was Iran, is still Iran, and it will continue to be Iran, until the Islamic republic will be reduced to its natural dimensions and without any capacity to threat us or anybody else. And now, Iran has started a gigantic poker game, saying: you, americans, want trouble? you want to see us dancing with the Israelis? then, attack in Syria. So what if the Israelis will response directly to us – here is their big bluff in the game, because they really care very much – we don’t care we’ll fight and pull in Obama and US, it will be Vietnam XII, it will be Yom Kippur war all over again, it will be the Mahdi and my mother, too.
So, Obama is weighing his steps. And you know what? He has very good reasons for being careful. If he would did the job before a couple of years ago, today we wouldn’t be here. This is the reason he is almost begging the Syrians and Putin to let him do even a ”little attack”, something symbolic, for saving his face from drawing red lines he cannot keep. But, his adversaries got him. They know him. And they are threatening him directly : If you, Obama, will mess with us, then the war you wanted so much to avert between Israel and Iran will be triggered exactly by your ”discrete, narrow and limited military action in Syria”.

Update: the Israeli analyst just said on the tv that ”is going to be” what is going to be in the next hours. A slip of the tongue, may be.

  8. John Prophet's avatar John Prophet Says:

Israel, please know that after this sorry exibition of Obama incompetence over Syria, a US attack on Iran is laughable.

Obama’s bluffing fools no one! He’ll now let Congess back him away just as it was done by Parliment in England.

Israel, it’s completely now your responsibly to attack or live with a nuclear Iran!
