A lot of tough talk coming from the media and White House. “Attack within days” the radio just said. It has been said that the American goal is to weaken the Assad regime, level the military playing field for the rebels. Russia feels that Syria is within their sphere of infuence. So what happens if Russia and Iran step into the breach with more military aid and more Iranian troops? Is Obama/Cameron ready to head to head with Russian forces? The Russian/Iranians control Assad. Those two countries must agree to be part of an international group that removes the WMD from Syria, and verify that it is all gone. Two years ago Obama had a military option, not today.

Of course Assad wont rush to retaliate against Israel, because Assad is wishing to be capable to buy a ticket and run from the Syrian hell which he cannot. Assad was never the real leading man in the Syrian War; it were the Iranian officers advisors, may be his brother, the cruel Maher who run the show in Syria. Is anybody here unprofessional enough to believe that Assad gave the military order to use poisoned gas in and around Damascus? It was an Iranian call, but official Assad is responsible. So will be with the ”retaliation”, if and when will happen. As a result, if – and this is a very big ”if”, but, still, not an impossible one – Iran (Hezbollah) will decide to test the Israeli resolve, big stuff is waiting for them in the Israeli store. Assad was never a part of the Israeli equation. Iran was. It always has been.
