The number of seeking ABC kits has risen Sunday, exceeding the average number by four, the Israel Postal Service reported.

Concerned citizens arrived at a Tel Aviv post office to claim their kits, having monitored events in Syria. Tania, living in Hatikva neighborhood, said she had come to pick up the gas masks so she would feel calmer in the face of the threat.

“I know nothing will happen, but I want to know that my children are safe,” she said.

“We keep postponing the issue of the masks,” said David Vaknin, who came to pick up masks for his family members. “Today I decided I have to get here and I’m glad that I’ve met the commitment I made to myself.”

Laurie arrived to take a mask for her son who was scheduled to return to Israel in a few days. “What’s happening in Syria is very disconcerting,” she said. “I think the United States should have made a move a long time ago. Now I understand that if there’s a war we’ll be attacked, so my family and I are preparing ourselves.

Addressing events in Syria, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday: “What is happening in Syria is a terrible tragedy and an obscene crime. Our hearts go out to the women, children, babies and civilians who were so brutally hurt by the use of weapons of mass destruction.”

The prime minister added that Israel has drawn three conclusions from the chemical weapons assault near Damascus. “First is that this situation cannot go on. Second, that the world’s most dangerous regimes must not posses the most dangerous weapons in the world.

“Third, we of course expect this to stop, but we always bear in mind the ancient principle of our sages who said, ‘If we are not for ourselves, who will be for us?’ That is, we always have our ear to the ground. Our finger is a responsible one and if it is required it can be on the trigger. We will always make sure to protect our citizens and the State against those who attempt to harm us or have harmed us – that is our guiding principle.”

Syrian opposition accounts claim that between 500 to well over 1,000 civilians were killed last week by gas in munitions fired by pro-government forces, and video footage of victims’ bodies, have stoked demands abroad for a robust, US-led response after 2.5 years of international inaction on Syria’s conflict.

By permitting the UN inspectors to search the suspected sites for chemical warfare agents, Assad bought to himself – or at least that is what his Iranian and Russian advisers are believing – some precious time and even he can might go away from this one pretty dry, if those inspectors wont find anything interesting.

Our opinion is that the findings wont be conclusive at the best or it wont be any incriminating findings at all, in the worse scenario. We are also assuming that the president special advisors know as much as we know and have seen as much we have seen, so we can assert, with a highly degree of good approximation, that they will advise Obama to act, not because what the UN will find out, but mostly despite and because they wont find anything. And why is that, you may ask? That is because this tragedy has gone totally out of the bottle, all the world saw those very bad photos of murdered children and their dead mothers – oh, my God! – and there is nothing, nothing to do about that but for Obama to act like a man and do justice to the Syrian people, slaughtered day by day by its own leaders and, sometimes, ”allies”.
It will be a join American British French operation in the first stage, because the events wont restrain themselves to a gentlemen shot from the Western coalition part and it will be a second stage and, depending of the Iranian courage and gambling potential, it might even be a third stage. You see, such actions you know when and how to start, but you’ll never know when they will be finished.

The new Middle East war opera will be opened by an extending first strike which will be delivered by the American missiles launched from the sea and by air, from the British – French military air force, from airfields mainly in Italy, while Saudi Arabia can also been take into consideration ( for its air bases ). The nerve command centres of Assad army will be hit while his missiles depots and launching sites will get the same treatment. Arab ground forces trained for a long period of time in Jordan will be the open ground option of the western allies, who will also use special forces of its own for grabbing and / or neutralizing the WMD arsenal sites spotted in previous recon and intel actions.
In this state of the military situation, when the Syrian control and command centres got already heavy hits and the scope and the meanings of the operation and its magnitude will become clear for the Syrian governmental forces, it will be fair to assume that they will try to pull in Israel also for Assad to may be in a position to say that, in fact, Syria is fighting terrorism and Zionism. In this second stage Hezbollah – with the Iranian back up – will also try to throw at the Israelis almost all their stuff that can fly and these couple of first days wont be easy for the Israeli home front line.
After being attacked by the combined forces of Assad and Hezbollah military, the IAF will launch some of the heavy and decisive airstrikes ever to be seen in wars in the region, attempting to neutralize fast the main missiles launch sources and launching fast lightning ground force attack in Lebanon, for an attempt to close the Hezbollah bureaus there and putting the Shiite militia out of business for an indefinite period of time. Meantime, the Assad army and control are disintegrating under the Western military blows.
Two important factors remained to be addressed and they are : Russia and Iran. In our opinion, Russia will back of if facing a Western military fast and decisive approach, and wont send any Migs to interfere in the air to land allies campaign in Syria. And the Iranians? It will be fair to assume that after Israel will get a certain rain of missiles upon its civilians and strategic centres, Israel will try and close its businesses with the Iranians on every point regarding Iran infrastructures, nuclear facilities and missiles sites; all will be taken care with most attention. And only one more thing: the face of the Middle East, as we know it, will never be the same.

Agreed, no more tit for tat. This time the evil that has once again raised its ugly head must be crushed completely. This must end now.
