The leader of the Tunisian Islamist party that rose to power after the first Arab Spring uprising last year said this week that Islamist movements would eventually emerge triumphant throughout the Arab world after a difficult transition period.
Rached al-Ghannouchi, whose Ennahda party governs with two junior leftist partners, said secular groups should join forces with Islamists to manage the first phase after autocratic rulers were removed.
But in the end, Islam will be the “reference point.”
“The Arab world is going through a transition phase which needs coalitions to govern, which brings together Islamist and secular trends,” Ghannouchi said in an interview during a trip to London where he spoke at Chatham House.
“These coalitions will lead to eventual rapprochement between the Islamists and the secularists.”
However, he added Islamists would have the upper hand.
“There’s a true way that Islam represents the common ground for everyone … Eventually Islam becomes a reference point for everyone,” he said.

To defeat one day the ”islam in march”, the world will need more than a couple of atomic bombs and the world war 2 will look like a joke in comparison with what will be needed in the near future to liberate the world from this scourge.

Shalom, Mr. Wouk! I have followed your blog for about a year now of and on and I want to thank you for keeping us informed, aware and warned about what´s going down in the ME and of the dangers of Islamist especially the MB rising to power. I am French from Algeria descending from 3 generations of immigrants from Southern France, mainly farmers, and educators with no imperialist, colonialist conqueror superior attitude at all.
I was 11 years old when the Algerian war started and I left 6 years later. I lived in Constantine the 3rd largest city and the ancient capital of Numidia during the Roman Empire. It had also the largest concentration of Jewish people. After being an exile and traveling through Europe, I emigrated to the US where I spent 40 years. Now I am living in Brazil.
It´s incredible to see how little American people know or even desire to know about Islam, their beliefs and their world domination goals and the deceptive way they go about it all sanctioned and prescribed in the Koran. and it´s not because of a lack of good accurate info through books, videos and conferences. You are well aware of the problem.
I am a Christian Bible believer who stands with Israel, loves the chosen people of God and understands that the victory for Israel and Jerusalem the apple of His eyes is promised and guaranteed by the Old Testament prophecies and will come to pass shortly I believe. What I deplore and lament is the loss of human innocent lives and I hate the insidious and revolting propaganda by the Fatah and all the other terrorist organizations. I am not at all surprised by all the events of the ME since 1948 but lately they seem to happen at a dizzying speed.
One thing in particular caught my attention in the way “Palestinians” and Arabs are treated as citizens of Israel with all the rights and privileges granted to Israelis citizens. One thing that you always hear as the major complaint and one of the main reason for the Algerian uprisings of the 40s and the subsequent war was that the French government never kept his promise to grant the Algerian people the full citizenship as the French. This is something I always deplored very much especially in the light of their giving their lives and blood to combat the German and Italian forces in WW2. I have been posting an article about this gross neglect and injustice on my blog toward these brave and loyal men who were abandoned to being slaughtered by their own people during the Algerian war and left defenseless and disarmed by the French army after the 1962 independence during a dark time of reprisals. Sarkosy with all his big wonderful speeches and promises never fulfilled them before he lost to Hollande.
My point is that even if they had been granted full citizenship following the model and example of Israel, I don´t think it would have assuaged the desire of the Islamists extremists faction among them, a theory proved by the wholesale slaughter of their own moderate, westernized and civilized population (more than 200.000 men, women and children) during the horrible carnage of the 90s. I have been invited to go back there but I fear for my safety being American and Christian and a supporter of Israel and the Jewish people.
I appreciate your efforts, your unique and real way of giving us the latest news and your insightful commentaries and getting indignant when need be!

He pulls no punches and shows the history in a no-nonsense way, supported with lots of data.
At the end of the video he gives an interesting explanation of the denial of the western mind to aknowledge the reality and the threat of islam.

Hi Steve! I don´t know where you are located but I can tell you one thing, right now as the world is suffering from cataclysmic events, I don´t see any spot on earth that is immune from any danger or threat be it from the sky, beneath the earth, the sea or from the surface of our wonderful planet that is undergoing tremendous changes at an ever increasing pace. As I said I am a Christian and as such I have been warned that all these birth pangs would happen before a New earth is going to emerge from all these terrible changes that are only to intensify and multiply. Even if people don´t believe the Biblical prophetic record, these catastrophic events are happening every day all around the world as anybody can witness in the news. Now it´s only the interpretation and the meaning of these events that change according to someone´s spiritual orientation. To comment on your chilling thought, when the whole world is going to go through what is coming on the horizon, where will you find a safe place to be? nowhere. I came to Brazil not because I was escaping from the US, I am retired and married to a Brazilian. But here we also have our problems with widespread violence, drugs, the rapid rise of Islam in the shanty towns around São Paulo. People are used to living in a war zone in the big cities. We just have to always be aware and on the alert. We get used to it.
