Inveterate critics of the United States are painting the Wikileaks revelations as shaming for American foreign policy but Mahmoud Ahmadinejad seems at least as enraged by them as the White House. So furious is he that he has insisted that the “leaks” story is a hoax: that it is actually an “American tool” designed to destabilise his leadership. It is his regime, after all, which has been revealed as distrusted and reviled among its own neighbours rather than the supposed “warmongering” US.
What is the most substantive thing that these leaks have revealed? That Iran, under its present leadership is loathed and feared as a rogue soon-to-be-nuclear state in its own region. And in spite of being urged – even begged – to attack it by the Saudis, and warned of the potential dangers of its imminent nuclear power by other Gulf states, the US has held back from any military aggression.
What is more, Israel’s analysis of the danger that Iran represents to the stability of the region – and the degree to which that danger is recognised among Arab nations – has been almost entirely vindicated by the confidential statements of other Middle East countries. We can only wonder whether this was quite what the Guardian was expecting when it published that job lot of private diplomatic communications.

THE WAY I SEE IT IS THAT THE IRANIANS HAVE VERY LITTLE SUPPORT FROM THE MUSLIM WORLD EXCEPT FOR TERRPRIST JIHADS AND ISRAEL IS LOOKING FOR THE BIG PLAY ON AHMADINEJADS POLITICAL SUPPORT WITH THE U.S. AND EURPOEAN SUPPORT. THE U.S. HAS LITERALY LOOKED LIKE THE WAITING MOMENT HAS ARRIVED AS THE LEAKS WERE ANNOUNCED BEFORE CRITICAL MASS CAME WITH THE WAR MACHINE AND NOW AHMADINEJAD DOESNT EVEN BELIEVE THAT THIS WHOLE WIKILEAAK SYNDROME IS EVEN REAL BEING AS THE IRANIAN REGIME 1WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THEGOOG GUYS WHILE EVERYONE AND THEIR NEIGHBOR SAID THAT IRAN SHOULD BE DESTROYED.
