Last night I bought a ticket to go to Israel on January 7. My intention was to raise public awareness in the country of Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN). This is the drug that saved my life from Progressive Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis a short 6 months ago.  (http://www.googleldn.com)

I also hoped that after the publicity campaign I’d be able to find a publisher to translate Google LDN !, the book I wrote about the subject into Hebrew and distribute it in Israel.

The book should become available worldwide in another month or so and I was planning to return then to begin the publicity campaign in the US for the book.

Today I learned that Israel had invaded Gaza in an all out war effort.

So much for my LDN plans. The media in Israel will be far too occupied with the war to focus on my story, as well they should be.

I had long ago given up trying to plan for more than a few months in advance.  Now it appears it’s becoming impossible to plan from day to day.

But I’m still going, only instead of writing my LDN in Israel blog, I’m writing A Sclerotic Goes to War.

I plan to make daily video posts from the towns hit hardest in Israel, Ashkelon, Ashdod and Be’er Sheva.  I’ll present a very different picture from anything you’ll get from the mass media and I won’t pull any punches.

Though I’m too old to fight this time, at least I can show solidarity with my people under fire and listen and report about their experiences.

Come along with me for the ride.  It’s sure to be an “E ticket”.

Cheers!

Joe

We’re awfully proud of you, Joe, and know you’ll do a dandy job reporting (no, we’re not Jewish). Take good care of your hide, as you have already embedded yourself in many of our hearts, and on top of that, one of your greatest contributions may be yet to come – that is, helping to open the curtains on that dearest of drugs, low dose naltrexone.

    Dear Joe.

Congratulations on your blog. I myself use LDN for Psoriasis. It was a lifesaver. After 40 years of misery, I was in an escalated state, due to the death of my husband. STRESS is my enemy.

Anyway, I have a friend with MS, with whom I shared all the books that I’m buying, including GOOGLE LDN. She has an appointment with the Cleveland Clinic next week, and I’m hoping she will come onboard with us. I’ve shared your story with her, so pray that the information gets to the right doctor, so that she too can “get well”.

Thanks so much for your work with LDN

    Hey Joe,
I doubt you remember me. I was at Ramah, the infamous summer of HAIR and am a childhood friend of Beth Zucker’s (now Weinreb), as well as a pal and music fan of Arnie Davidson, who sent me your link. I think it’s amazing about your research and success with LDN, and have shared your story with my friends who have MS. They are investigating and seem to be more hopeful than they have in the past 23+ years.
I look forward to reading about your Israel trip; I was there 3 times in the past year and have several close friends living there who update me fairly often on the current situation. But I think your views will be different, brutally honest and refreshing in the midst of media crap. I wish you a good and safe trip.

The very thought of your decision to physically spread your good fortune among people in a very troubled area of the world is to be commended.

Within the past several months a member of my family began using LDN for CFS. However, she had also been diagnosed with ADD in adulthood [age 30]. When asked how she was affected by LDN her answer was “I feel better than I have ever felt”. She is 40 years old and mentioned that all her life she felt as if she were in a “fog”, and that the day after her first dose of LDN. the fog was gone. Among other problems associated with CFS were fatigue which caused feelings of depression, and various aches and pains. She has an entirely new look on life as a result of these symptoms being eliminated.

Be very careful in your journey wherever it may take you — you are very courageous, and undoubtedly very dedicated to take on the task of using this method to make people aware that there is hope in a pill for people who have suffered unnessesarily because of a certain amount of ignorance and fear among persons in the medical field, and elsewhere.

May you continue with your efforts, conventional or not, to achieve your goal.

Good luck and be careful Joe. Bring our thanks and prayers as well to the people there as you are in ours.

    Hi Joe,

Blessings for going over. I take LDN for breast cancer which is the reason I had to bring my son back from Israel after 3 years and Aliya (could not afford to help him live there because it is so expensive there and I needed to pay for the cancer. I am doing fine and will only know if the LDN works if I don’t get cancer again. We have many friends there and pray everday for their safty. I was over there during the last war a couple of years ago.

    Blessing,

    Pami
