Palestinians held mass prayers outside of a sensitive Jerusalem holy site after Israeli police barred men under 50 from entering following two weeks of tensions and deadly unrest. Despite fears of violent clashes around the Haram al-Sharif compound, known to Jews as the Temple Mount, the area was largely calm following Friday’s midday prayers.
