Trump Admin Authorizes Strikes on Iranian-Backed Forces » SYRIA-CONFLICT

Syrian regime and pro-regime forces inspect an area recently recaptured from the Islamic State (IS) group in a mountain range near the village of Khanasser, in the Aleppo governorate, on July 2, 2017.
The IS group no longer has a presence in Syria’s Aleppo province after withdrawing from a series of villages where regime forces were advancing, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said earlier in the week. Regime forces had been advancing on a sliver of southeastern Aleppo province around a key highway linking Hama province to the southwest and Raqa province further east. / AFP PHOTO / George OURFALIAN (Photo credit should read GEORGE OURFALIAN/AFP/Getty Images)
