The Turkish Foreign Ministry announced today that it reserved the right to protest against Israel’s conduct in Gaza despite the Reconciliation Agreement with Israel that was confirmed only a few days ago by the Turkish Parliament: “The normalization of relations with Israel doesn’t state that we will be silent about the present attack against the Palestinians.”

“We will continue to be advocates for the Palestinian issue,” they added. “We will continue to defend the Palestinians against Israel’s actions that are contrary to international law and the human conscious.” On the other hand, Israel clarified that they are not interested in an escalation.
