WOW , 2 patriot missiles fired for one freaking drone  and still not a confirmation of a hit !!

That raises questions i suppose, are these patriots from a surplus dump ?

A Syrian drone that penetrated Israeli territory in the central Golan Heights was shot down successfully by two patriot ground to air missiles fired from a base in northern Israel, the IDF Spokesperson’s office reported Thursday evening.

Update: The IDF has no confirmation yet if it successfully shot down the drone.

    Maybe it was an Apache drone. Or not. But the Patriot represents another target of convenience, doesn’t it?

    A 14-year-old girl from Jerusalem was injured on Sunday after a fragment from one of the Patriot missiles launched today hit her in the leg, according to a Walla report.

    The two Patriot missiles launched at the infiltrating drone missed their target, and the drone returned to Syrian airspace.

    Neither two Patriot missiles, nor one air-to-air missile fired from an Israeli fighter reportedly managed to take down the mystery UAV that retreated into Syria.
