Earlier this week, it was claimed on the Arab social media that 13-year-old Ahmed Manasra was “executed” by the Israeli security forces after implementing the terror attack in Pisgat Ze’ev. This claim was repeated by Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas and backed by graphic photos. However, Manasra apparently was not killed. He was evacuated to an Israeli hospital and given medical treatment. On Thursday, photos were released showing the teenager from his Israeli hospital bed.

In the official photos published today, the young terrorist is seen lying handcuffed in his bed with a hospital food tray at his side. The treatment he was provided with over the past few days has caused an improvement in his condition. Furthermore, Manasra’s family was allowed to visit him in the hospital. Some of the family members remained at his bed. Earlier today, 0404 News published a video showing the boy with a police officer guarding him.

The turmoil generated by the harsh Palestinian claims peaked last night following a speech delivered by Abbas, during which he repeatedly claimed the boy was killed and accused Israel of his execution. The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office harshly condemned the claims and said Abbas was inciting terrorism by spreading false propaganda.

Abbas stated in his speech: “We will not surrender to the use of criminal force and to the policy of occupation and aggression led by the Israeli government and its herds of settlers who commit acts of terror against our people and our holy sites, against our trees and homes. We will not accept the cold-blooded execution of our children, as was done to Ahmad Manasra and to many other children in several places within the Palestinian territories.”
