IDF on alert for coordinated ISIS assault on Eilat or vicinity.

Eilat from mountain

DEBKAfileMarch 12, 2015, 5:55 PM (IDT)

The commander of the IDF’s 80th Division, Col. Arik Hen, announced Thursday that the army is deployed ready to fend off a large-scale coordinated attack on Israel’s southernmost town of Eilat, which the Islamic State is believed to be planning with speedboats and aquatic motor bikes combined with an overland incursion and rocket bombardment from Egyptian Sinai. Israeli troops are also ranged on Route 12 north of Eilat and the civilian locales along the highway in case they too come under jihadi attack.

Col. Hen reported that hundreds of ISIS terrorists have gathered in Sinai, but there is not enough intelligence to keep track of all their plans and movements. DEBKAfile adds: The IDF has released this nformation as a warning because the Islamist terrorists may intend to strike during the eight-day Feast of Passover, when Eilat and southern Israel teem annually with holidaymakers and trippers.

As foretold, time for Neville Netanyahu to go.

“Former Likud big wigs: We won’t vote for Netanayhu
Former Likud minister Dan Meridor calls Netanyahu a ‘phony’, while party founder says he will not back Likud this election, while founder urges voters ‘not to support Netanyahu’.

Dan Meridor and Mordechai Tzipori – two prominent former Israeli politicians from the Likud – said they will not vote for their party and Prime Minister Netanyahu in the upcoming election.

“Bibi is the biggest phony in the world. He may talk sweet, especially in English, but if psychologists or other experts analyze his speeches it is clear they are just a hot air,” Meridor told Yedioth Aharonoth’s Nahum Barnea in a report published this Friday in Ynet’s print publication.”

If you all don’t want Bibi, we’ll take him. You may think he’s a bit too ‘trigger shy’, but he would be one of the most conservative presidents the USA has seen in years. Of course I’m not proposing a trade with Obama. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. 🙂

LS, he’s cried wolf for so long and made promises of not letting Iran get the bomb, promises he did not keep. Time for him to go. Unfortunately, the damage of his inactions are done. There was a time to strike, but is has long since past. Now, he will be replaced by those who will usher in the complete loss of Israels soul. It is written!

          Enough doom and gloom, John.

We have grokked your perspective for years here and have yet to hear a positive remark from you about anything.

It’s gotten to the point where your comments can’t help but bring to mind the robed cartoon character with “The end is nigh!” sign.

          Give it a rest, already…

          יהיא בסדר… It’ll be alright

Joe, my “doom and gloom” views as you say have been counter by some very Polyannish views by others on this site. I’m afraid the reality of the flow of events have very much transversed my view of things. Sorry if I’ve been more on the mark, but your יהיא בסדר… It’ll be alright. To me seems a little to Polyannish.

I challenge anyone on this site to differ with my views on how history has flowed to this point.
