The IDF declares an area north of the Gaza Strip a closed military zone.
Boy lightly wounded in Ashdod as rockets continue to rain down | The Times of Israel.
( This is q very frightening announcement. My worst fear is that the drone that was downed may have carried WMDs. – JW )
Speculation is circulating on the significance of the move, which may indicate that ground forces are preparing for battle.
One Israeli news site, NRG, suggests that the move is connected to the downing of a Hamas UAV earlier in the day.
The IDF is continuing to build up ground forces on the Gaza border, but no decision has been made by the cabinet — as far as Israeli media outlets know — to enter Gaza with significant ground forces.

Unquote : That would be a game changer . but would they be that stupid ???

Thats your green light for total destruction of Hamas and yes they are definitely that stupid

Hamas has already fired several rockets at Dimona.
Nothing they do would surprise me at this point.

If Hamas has WMD’s, then a case must be made against Iran. After all, how else would they get them? We could have a serious trigger here. In order to survive there must be zero tolerance for a WMD attack no matter how ineffective it might be.

Syria
July 14, 2014 at 3:49 PM
Yup, Syria
July 14, 2014 at 4:44 PM
OK…Syria. With that being said, then Israel could be sucked into a war with Syria and end up fighting on the same side as ISIS. In effect, she will be taking on yet another Iranian proxy. What a mess.
July 14, 2014 at 5:20 PM
Agreed LS, Israel needs to go for the kill shot soon, the longer this drags the more complex things will become.
July 14, 2014 at 5:41 PM
If Israel can’t finish off Hamas, how the hell can they expect to take on Hezbollah, ISIS or Iran.
July 14, 2014 at 5:56 PM
Good point JP. Therein lies the problem.
July 14, 2014 at 7:09 PM
The Iran negotiating is going nowhere fast. Iran will get nukes and if Israel tried anything, missiles would be flying in from every direction. Iron dome would not be able to deal with such an onslaught. Israel is now in a very precarious place and time.
July 14, 2014 at 7:21 PM
Hamas will not back down they want to come out waving the victory flag. Israel will either need to finish them off or back down.
From this point I’m shouting down to watch!

I’ve spent many a night hunkered down in my house while hurricane force winds ripped apart countless trees and thousands of homes. The sound of the howling wind and tree limbs snapping like gunshots seemed without end. Thankfully, that’s the worse I’ve had to endure in my life, yet it pales in comparison to what JW must be feeling now. A feeling of never knowing when a missile will crash through the roof. Never knowing if a simple trip to the grocery store will end in tragedy. Never knowing when all the insanity finally ends and life can begin again. I just cannot imagine it and I pray for all who do.

a statement from a spokesman of ISIS (Islamic State) that “conquering Bayt el-Maqdis (Jerusalem) and destroying the State of Israel is central to the group’s jihad.” The spokesperson was responding to critics who questioned why its leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, had not actively supported Hamas in fighting Israel. The spokesman, Nidal, Nuseiri, stated “the time is not right for a confrontation with Israel.” (Read more). Nuseiri stated that several items must take place before ISIS can join HAMAS in its jihad against Israel:
Among them, Nuseiri said that the US – seen as Israel’s greatest ally – needed to be weakened politically and economically via attacks on the American mainland, as well as US interests in Muslim countries. Additionally, the existing “Islamic State” needed to expand its borders to cover all of “Greater Syria” (which would include Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jorislamdan and possibly Gaza); such a state, he said, would then be in a position for a direct confrontation with Israel.
