Three Israeli civilians were hit this morning (Jun. 22) by an explosion on the Syrian border.

One was killed, one was critically wounded and the third was lightly wounded. The wounded were taken to Rambam Hospital in Haifa by an IAF helicopter. They are civilian contractors working on the security fence.

It is yet unclear if they were hit by a roadside bomb, mortar or anti-tank missile. IDF tank fired back at the Syrian army position at Quneitra, which is where the attack originated from.

Reports from the scene indicate this was a deliberate and accurate attack, not a ‘spillover’ from the Syrian civil war.
