Even as the US top Iran negotiator is in the country saying Iran could be allowed a small peaceful nuclear program, Prime Minster Binyamin Netanyahu continued to warn Sunday against granting Iran any uranium enrichment capabilities
“Iran will practically realize its plan to become a nuclear threshold state, with enrichment [capability] and the ability to develop intercontinental missiles. This combination of enrichment, weapons, and the ability to launch missiles creates a situation where Iran gets everything and gives nothing,” he said at the opening of the weekly cabinet meeting.
On Saturday night, US Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman, who participated in the talks between Iran and the world powers in Vienna last week, said in Jerusalem that “I would like there to be zero enrichment. I would like there to be no facilities, I would like there not to be an indigenous program. I would like many things in life. But that does not mean I will get them.”
Sherman is in the country briefing top officials on the talks, and from here will travel to Saudi Arabia, which is as concerned as Israel at the prospect of Iran gaining nuclear capabilities.
Over the last two weeks Netanyahu has once again stepped up the rhetoric against Iran’s nuclear program, saying that the country has not altered any of its aggressive policies. This is expected to be one the key issues he discusses next Monday when he is scheduled to meet US President Barack Obama in Washington.

Mr. Netanyahu has grossly overplayed his hand with unrealistic demands on Iran. Hypocritical demands even, because Israel refuses to allow IAEA inspections and refuses to sign the NPT. Now Mr. Netanyahu policies are backfiring and the P5+1 negotiate with Iran with the interests of the world as the highest priority instead of considering Israel’s interests.

Justice, cheer me up…
Curious what brought you to the conclusion that Bibi is FINALLY going to act.
Nobody else has made that call yet.

It’s to late for Israel to act, that horse left the barn long ago….

So it’s all over before it begins, ehh JP?
Too late, too early, impossible, hopeless…. etc.
So you hang around this site out of what, morbid curiosity?
JP, you are welcome to give up. For those of us who don’t have that luxury I ask that you cease your Cassandra routine on this board.
It does NOBODY any good !
The regret you claim to feel over Israel’s predicament is belied by the crocodile tears your defeatism implies.

JW it’s not defeatism it’s practical observation. Look what happened in WWII because good failed to act against evil when it was still embryonic. Instead the allies kept finding “peace in our time.”
Evil nearly won and 70 million died defeating it. If evil at that time had nukes there wouldn’t be a Jew left on the planet and all us non Jews would be doing the goose step. Well it’s happening all over again, but this time the evil is in the form of radical Islam and their bomb is nearly here. Once again the West deluding itself that evil can be negotiated with.
So Joe, you can sit there deluding yourself that the vaunted IDF can defeat evil no matter how large and well armed it becomes. Frankly the IDF has not looked overwhelming in its last few encounters with the minions of Mordor.

When the “peace deal” is signed the world will rush to do business with Iran forgetting all about Israel and Netanyahu’s warning.
One wonders where things would be today if Netanyahu strapped on a set and handled things years ago.

How can they truly take Israel’s interest in consideration when they were not even invited to have a seat at the negotiations?

JW bibi has no choice and due to the russian troop buildup on the Ukrainian borders like is said the wolves are about to be unleashed, myself you can tell the talks are going nowhere russia is resupplying iran this is the last window for attack any half decent general would take the imitative and preemptively strike and i am hearing stuff, syria has got worse, and now is the time to strike when no one believes you will,The element of surprise will be overwhelming

I will add i would prefer it if Iran repented and played a worthwhile and constructive role in the world as far as i am concerned the Iranians have been used as pawns by another state ,shame they cant see this
