Fordo said to be crippled by ‘blast’
Fordo said to be crippled by ‘blast’ – Israel News, Ynetnews.

Despite staunch denials by Iran, new details regarding explosion in nuclear site depict moments of detonation as allegedly captured by CCTV

Despite vehement denials by Iran, new details emerged Tuesday regarding the alleged blast in the Fordo nuclear website.
The website reported Saturday that Fordo, which is considered to be Iran’s second-largest uranium enrichment facility, has suffered a massive explosion, which has razed a significant part of it, trapping over 200 people underground.
The credibility of the report has been questioned mostly due to the fact that the Qom-adjacent facility has been carved into a mountain and as such it is believed to be virtually unassailable by neither air strikes nor bunker-buster bombs.
According to a Tuesday report by WND, the Revolutionary Guard has set up a 15km security zone around the site, cordoning it off completely.
The website said that among those now trapped in the belly of the mountain are 16 North Koreans, including 14 technicians, and two top military officers.
Iran insists the reports are “Western propaganda,” but WND claims that the Times of London and the Germany’s Die Welt both have sources that corroborated that a blast has crippled the Islamic Republic’s most important nuclear site.
The US, however, questioned the report’s validity: White House Spokesman Jay Carney said Monday that, “We have no information to confirm the allegations in the report and we do not believe the report is credible.”
The Islamic regime’s media, in a coordinated effort, reflected a similarly short response Sunday night in its denial, and Monday remained silent.
Minute by minute account?
Still, WND quoted Dr. Ali Reza Nourizadeh, director of the Center for Arab and Iranian Studies in London, as confirming that the explosion had trapped many inside.
The US-based website further alleged to have a source that saw, first hand, CCTV footage of the blast.
The account was as follows: “On January 21, 14 members of the North Korean team and two military officers now stationed at Fordo, along with Iranian scientists, started the process of feeding uranium gas into the newly set-up cascades at 9:15 am (Tehran time).”

Map of Iranian nuclear sites
“At 10:43 am, due to a drop in power pressure, system warning signs went off, but everything went back to normal after two minutes. At 11:36 am, five explosions occurred concurrently in the centrifuge chambers, two explosions in the uranium reserve enclosures and a subsequent explosion in the main hallway close to the exit.
“At the time of the explosions, a very bright red and purple light distorted the image and an extremely loud noise could be heard,” the account continues. “Before the explosions knocked out the cameras, interior walls could be seen coming down within the centrifuge chambers. All the explosions seemed to have been initiated from the ceilings.”
The force of the blast knocked out all of the cameras on the facility’s lowest level, which is about 300 feet underground, as well as those on the floor above it, WND claimed.
Other cameras soon malfunctioned, and according to the website, “The last images show eight personnel in anti-radiation clothing trying desperately to secure one of the rooms.”

The commander of Israeli special forces being promoted straight after the ‘incident’ is a clear indicator.
January 29, 2013 at 4:50 PM
There was not such a promotion here as far as we know and this action was not carried out by israeli commandos.
January 29, 2013 at 5:03 PM
Luis, my friend.
Allow me to differ. The attack was by way of a “Trojan horse” explosive device hidden in something that was known to intelligence to be destined for Fordow.
How do you think it got into place? If via MEK, who do you think has been giving them training? Certainly not the Mossad.
Knowing absolutely nothing secret, I know that Sayeret Matkal does a lot more than combat missions.
A LOT more…
If you believe the promotion was a coincidence, remember the quote from the philosopher of science, P.W. Brindgeman:
“Coincidences are what are left over after you’ve applied a bad theory.”

Ok, I wont argue with that. But we are hopping for more time and info, to really learn what happened there.

Let’s just assume for arguments sake that Iran’s nuclear program has been set back substantially (perhaps a year or more) by whatever happened at Fordo.
How do we expect Iran and it’s allies to respond?
Will we see a major conflict soon???
January 29, 2013 at 7:17 PM
Only if our enemies wish to become a national suicide bomber.
January 29, 2013 at 7:20 PM
They wont. Fordo was a masterpiece. There are no tracks. It was like an earthquake. The situation is like before, only with Fordo missing from equation. Iran/Hezbollah wont attack Israel. That would be suicidal. So the iranians will keep themselves bussy in Syria and also treating bad the poor monkeys.

I see the monkey returned safely

Luis and I are on the same page here, as usual.
They’ll keep blaming everything wrong with themselves on the Zionists. Until they’re not there anymore…

We didnt said they killed the monkey. They are treatening him bad; the monkey didnt enjoy that trip very much. We have heard complains.
January 29, 2013 at 10:59 PM
I was afraid the monkey might become a martyr.

Question to you all:
Do you know websites where I can found current traffic information for the Qom province?

Because they say the roads are closed? 🙂

Just before a couple of minutes, Amos Gilad spoke on the israeli TV, Arutz 1, when he answered to the Question from the host: ”Do we know something about the Fordo site…?”, and Amos answered:
”I cannot say no and I cannot say also yes, because of obvious reasons.” From our point of view, he answered.

“One site, still unknown to the West with its vast installation of centrifuges, will be revealed soon by WND.”
If you ever lived in Louisiana, you would notice we have a lot of red ant mounds. I battle them all the time. A little poison does the trick, but the survivors simply move to another spot and start yet another mound. Wait…where have I heard this before?
January 29, 2013 at 11:28 PM
Call me an optimist.
I believe that the Israeli intelligence knows more about these things than WND.
What we, the western public and IAEA know and what some intelligence services know are two totally different things.
In years of preparation for the eventual showdown in the six-day-war the Israeli intelligence studied the terrain of the Sinai.
A researcher later said: “It’s funny to say it but after all the years of our research we knew the enemy terrain better than the enemy himself”.

The IAEA under Mohamed ElBaradei was clearly helping Iran. I had hoped that with his departure things changed . Have they? Eventually we will find out who is right.
(Reuters) – The U.N. atomic watchdog made clear on Tuesday it had seen no sign of any explosion at one of Iran’s most sensitive nuclear plants, backing up Tehran’s denial of media reports that such an incident had taken place last week.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), in an unusual move, made a brief statement after some Israeli and Western media at the weekend reported there had been significant damage at the underground Fordow uranium enrichment facility.
The site is at the centre of Israeli and Western concerns about Iran’s nuclear program as the Islamic state refines uranium there to a fissile concentration that takes it closer to potential atom bomb material. Irandenies any such aim.
IAEA inspectors regularly visit Iranian nuclear sites, including the one at Fordow, and the U.N. agency suggested in its comment that they had been at the facility after the reports of an explosion there.
“We understand that Iran has denied that there has been an incident at Fordow. This is consistent with our observations,” IAEA spokeswoman Gill Tudor said in an emailed statement in response to a question.
The United States said on Monday it did not believe the reports of an explosion at Fordow, which is buried deep underground to protect it against any enemy attacks.
Iran described the news stories as Western propaganda designed to influence upcoming nuclear negotiations.
Wrangling over dates and location have delayed resumption of talks between global powers and Iran aimed at reaching a diplomatic settlement to the decade-old dispute over Tehran’s nuclear program and avert the threat of a Middle East war.
SABOTAGE ALLEGATIONS
In late 2011, the plant at Fordow began producing uranium enriched to 20 percent fissile purity, compared with the 3.5 percent level needed for nuclear energy plants.
This higher level of enrichment represents a significant step towards the fissile concentration that would be needed in any attempt to build atomic bombs.
Iran says its nuclear program is entirely peaceful and aimed at producing electricity. It says it needs 20 percent uranium to fuel a medical research reactor in Tehran.
Several U.N. Security Council resolutions have ordered Iran to suspend all uranium enrichment. The Islamic Republic says it is its “right” under the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty to refine uranium to produce reactor fuel.
Iran has accused Israel and the United States of trying to sabotage its nuclear program through cyber attacks and the assassination of its nuclear scientists. Washington has denied any role in the killings, while Israel has declined to comment.
No government has taken responsibility for the Stuxnet computer virus that destroyed centrifuges at Iran’s Natanz uranium enrichment facility in 2010, but it has been widely reported to have been a U.S.-Israeli project.
Israel, believed to be the Middle East’s only nuclear-armed state, has hinted at possible military action against Iran if sanctions and diplomacy fail to resolve the nuclear stand-off.

We just wanted to bring here the IAEA sayings about what ”wasn’t”
at Fordo, but Mladen already did it. The question is, what the f…ck is going on? From one side, the israelis are very mysterious when asked about that – and its perfectly ok – from the other side, some ”little suckers” like you know who, are denying that vehemently.
What is it ? What really happened ? We hope that all that champagne didn’t go in vain.

Thank you, Joseph!
~~~~~~
Fordow is under 24/24 CCTV surveillance by the IAEA. If an incident like this would happen, the IAEA would know it in real time.
This is just another hoax to be added to the long list of propaganda, misinformation and lies by Mr. Reza Kahlili
Sorry guys, you wasted your champagne, but I still think it was a blast!
