The graduation ceremony of the Israeli Navy’s 102nd diver course will take place today in Haifa, with the attendance of Maj. Gen. Ram Rotenberg IDF Navy Commander.

The course, which lasts one year and four months, consists of three training states, and in the coming week, the graduates of the course will be integrated in combat functions in the Navy’s submarines, according to the various professions. These include the operation of sailing systems, detection and navigation systems, control systems, handling and operation of the advanced weapon systems found on the submarines and analysis and operation of sonar systems.

The Navy Commander congratulated the course graduates, saying that “the strength of the submarine as the covert and most complicated tool of war in the IDF is the strength of its people – the combat team. This is a qualitative, normative, professional, combative and operational team, and I wish good luck to all the graduates.”
